Unique burgers that are very good and can order half and half orders of sweet potato and regular fries that are very good and the 8 different kind of sauces is what makes this place stand out! Thai Ketchup is the best!

Burger 21 was great! My burger was well made and everything about it was fantastic. I loved all of the extra sauces and all of the drink choices. Best burger in the Triangle I think! Will definitely be back.

Review by Anti Social Media. Burger 21 combines a simple, great menu with a real nice ambiance. This is everything a lunch place should be! I loved every visit. Friendly staff. Great manager who walked around and checked on(and socialized with) every customer during one of my visits. Great prices. Tasty food. The fries are very authentic, good quality fries. They cater to vegetarians as well with two pretty tasty veggie burgers. Perhaps we’ll see more on the menu in the future! They like to butter up their guests with trade-in coupons for free fries. Just go to the web with your receive and come back with a little number for free fries. I’m fine with this little bonus. Clean? Absolutely. The immaculate dining room sports a 1950s burger joint meets the contemporary world of 2016. Fun? Yes. Great for the whole family. Who doesn’t like a good burger, fries, and shake? I went with my son a few times, it’s one of his favorite places. We turned it into a sort of drive-in movie. iPad. Burgers. Fries. Earbuds. Did I mention how much he loves the film, Home? Bring your kids, they’ll love this place. Five stars, great job, guys.

This place is very unique in how it works. You walk in, grab a little menu, order at the counter, pay at the counter, get your own drinks/condiments, then pick your own table. Your food is brought out to you, however. I have to give the food over a 5 star– I ordered the black bean burger and it was PHENOMENAL. Would recommend. Unfortunately, this restaurant uses plastic cups and silverware which makes it unsustainable and not eco friendly which is something to think about.

I have been here a few times and the food is always great! My favorite burger is the Mediterranean Chicken but the bacon cheesy three pack sliders are also delicious if your more of the plain Jane type. The turkey chili and sonoma valley salad are both great appetizers and are delicious. I LOVE the shoe string fries! They always come out perfect and they are never soggy like some places who have larger cuts they are also not greasy which is a huge plus. The Thai ketchup is my favorite sauce and if I could pick up the whole container and bring it home I would. Just thinking about the crème brûlée milkshake makes me want to drive over there right now and get one. It is pretty safe to say Burger 21 gets five stars from me!

I thought the place was great! Service was really good and without the painted on smiles. I have not received service like this from a group of young people in years. My mushroom burger was cooked exactly like I asked. The sweet potatoe fries were a nice surprise. I don’t live in the area, but the next time I am in town I will be sure to stop in.

I was not prepared for the awesomeness that is Burger 21. It was a Tuesday night. We were hungry and randomly picked this place. That was one of the juiciest burgers I’ve had in a long time. I had juices running down my hand. It was delicious. And the fries were spot on. Plus the place was super clean. I highly recommend this place.

Food is decent but when the cashier takes your order and doesn’t make it right, makes the score go down. Guess it’s hard to get good help these days.

My husband and I tried burger 21 again on a Saturday. The wait wasn’t as long. I wonder if the new restaurant«rush» is over. I ordered the caprese chicken sandwich and shared a large French fries with my husband. The sandwich was excellent. The large French fries was a little small to share between two adults. Overall the service was great. It took a long time for our sandwich/burgers to come out, but we assumed because each were cooked to order. With so many burger places in the triangle, it’s hard to give this place 5 stars. There are places that offer better burgers at similar prices.

Walking in I wasn’t sure what to expect. It is a walk up and order at a counter where you get a number and the food is brought to your table. Ordering was a breeze. We got a booth that comfortably fit 6 adults. Food came out fast! We ordered burgers, fries and 3 shakes. The shakes… Wow. Fresh cream :). They came to table before food. They have one dedicated shake person. For fries or burgers they had Thai ketchup, raging Cajun, toasted marshmallow and honey mustard to name a few… For me there were GLUTENFREE options! I ordered the cheesy burger and GF fries… All Delish! Cooked to perfection! The décor is nice and the music was perfect! 80’s 90’s and more modern music included. It is a relaxed environment, clean and we left happy and full! I will say that the women’s bathroom could have used a tidying up. Messy not dirty. We will Be back!

We just relocated to NC and just found our new burger joint. Their burgers are really fresh and you can custom order your patty. Sweet potato fries are really good. Large size is perfect for 2 adults. My daughter had a chicken permesan burger and she really liked it. Give them a try!

Our first time here. Had a coupon to get one burger free so this was a good trial for us. We would come back. I had the black bean burger. It had avocado, red onion, lettuce and a bit of salsa. I opted out of the cilantro spread. Very good. The burger itself was exactly like the ones I bought at Costco. They had blackened it on the grill and it was very good. My husband had the black and blue burger which he said was very good. The fries… this is a problem. We were longing for those fresh cut fries from Five Guys. The shoestring fries just don’t cut it. Especially after you have eaten the fries at Five Guys. They have the Coke machine that makes like a million different flavors. I think the drinks are like $ 3 each ! We opted for water. IDEA — Why not put a milkshake menu on the napkin holders? With maybe an appetizing pic of a milkshake? I had heard that they were really good but there was nothing inside the restaurant that made me even want to order one,

Y’all, this place is legit! You order at the counter and then get a number and they bring you your food. They also have a bar and I’m unsure if that area was just for seating or if you could sit their and order and be served there. I will say we went a little overboard for two people and order $ 33 dollars worth of food(oops) but it was all good. To clarify we got one regular crème brûlée shake, one regular shake of the month(this month was some banana/elvis inspired shake that had pound cake in it – my husband raved about it), one basket of fries, an order of three bacon cheeseburger sliders, and a chicken parm sandwich. That crème brûlée shake GAVEMELIFE! It was delicious and rich and same with a disk of burnt sugar on top. Presentation was perfection. The basket of fries was HUGE and I do not recommend getting unless you have at least four people. The fries are delicious and dare I say taste like McDonald’s. The cheeseburger bacon sliders were good, but were not the best. The meat was a little overcooked and the bread was cool(not warm but not cold). I still ate them all, but I think next time I will order a full burger. The chicken parm sandwich was good and what you would expect. The service was AMAZING. I felt like we had a server available to us at all times even though this place is formatted in a more«fast food» type way. I will definitely be back(I will just order less food next time). Burger 21, You all are doing it right!

The restaurant was very clean! There is a station to wash your hands which is great too. I loved the burger I had. Quick service and I loved how the drink machine had lots of options and all of the awesome dipping sauces! You should know before going in there everything is a la carte. Spend a little more, but well worth it!

I’m always up for a burger! The hubby and I were just driving around and noticed that a Burger 21 opened up near us. I’ve seen them before when driving up to see my parents, but had never been to one. It’s very trendy – you’ve got signs all over the store like«B different», «B shaken», and my favorite«B clean»(next to a sink in the middle of the place – and being a health care worker, I’m all for washing hands before and after eating!). I went with my hubby and my sister and we ordered the Classic, the Philly, and the Cinco. Got some fries to share and the Crème Brulee milkshake(I literally jumped up and down upon seeing it on the menu and knew I wanted it before even deciding which burger I wanted). They have 2 freestyle soda machines and a bunch of dipping sauces. We tried a few and liked the Thai Ketchup and the Ragin Cajun. The Chipotle Mayo was okay and the Marshmallow was just plain weird. Our food was out in about 10 minutes the upon taking the first bite, we all commented on how juicy the burger was. Also, they all came on a brioche bun, which I think should be standard now(but maybe I’m just being snobby hah). The fries are of the shoestring variety, which are my favorite. But for the large, it wasn’t much. Sad that there isn’t anything between a large and a bucket. TL;DR: For the price, the burgers were a bit small – you can get a huge burger at Smashburger for about the same price. But the flavors were pretty good. Seeing as Burger 21 is about 30 minutes closer to us, we’ll definitely be stopping by again. They’ve got some weekday specials too for combo deals. We’ll give those a try and maybe feel like it’s more worth the value.

Burger 21 is a very nice edition to the burger scene in Cary/Moorisville. The restaurant is very nice looking with a very modern vibe, extremely clean, and has a great staff. I went for dinner and ordered the Tex Mex Haystack, shared a basket of regular and sweet potato fries, and had a white chocolate raspberry shake. The Tex Mex burger was very good, juicy and tasty. The 5 oz. patty was cooked to a perfect medium well and had a fantastic crunch to it from the flat iron. Along with the great beef patty, the toppings were really good as well. The guac was super fresh, the bacon came out perfectly crispy, and the onion strings gave the burger that extra crunch. The chipotle-jalepeno sauce gave the burger some great spice flavor, and I got a little smokiness from the gouda as well. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the burger. However, I would suggest ordering a double if you’re really hungry or you’re a big eater, but one patty was fine for me tonight. As good as the burger was, I felt like the fries were a little big lacking. The regular fries are thin cut, shoe string fries kind of like Mcdonald’s, which I’m not the biggest fan of. The sweet potato fries were more or less the same in size. I really prefer thicker cut fries or fresh cut fries. Nevertheless, they came out perfectly fried and seasoned well, but not as salty as other places, which was a good thing. The sauce bar was a very nice compliment. I really enjoyed the sweet BBQ, chipotle mayo, Thai ketchup, honey mustard, and apple cider sauce. The marshmellow sauce was a little too weird for me. I also got the special of the month white chocolate raspberry shake. The shake was really good, smooth, had a rich raspberry and white chocolate taste. The consistency of it was great and was finished off with whip cream and raspberry drizzle. My only gripe would be that for $ 6 after tax, the size of the shake was very pedestrian. At first, I thought they gave me the wrong size, but I looked around and realized it was the regular size. Overall, Burger 21 has good quality and fresh burgers. I personally wasn’t too big of a fan of the shoe string fries. The milkshakes are also good here, just pricey for the size. However, the service was fantastic service. The manager was constantly in the dining area interacting with people and checking to make sure everything was fine. So for the burger and service, I’ll give them 3.5 stars.

The burgers here are on the smaller side so keep that in mind if you’re hungry to go for a double. That being said they are great here with a nice char from the grill. The dipping sauces for their fries is what they are famous for so make sure to give those all a shot. They also have a chicken parm sandwich and ahi tuna burger that i have my eye on. Well be going back quite often, we thought it was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Burger 21 is a high-end burger/shake fast-casual joint. Like 95% of the other restaurants in Cary, Burger 21 is a chain restaurant. At the time of this review, this is the latest of 14 locations of the Florida based chain, open in Cary since June 5, 2015. Burger 21 has a narrow menu that focuses on burgers, fries, and shakes. However, the menu does have horizontal moves like non-beef burgers, chicken tenders, chili, and salads. There are eight burger varieties beyond the headline burger and cheeseburger for those looking for a little change up. There is also a small kid’s menu. The prices are reasonable for a high-end burger place. And the portions are appropriately hearty-sized: one-third pound burgers with standard condiments of tomato, chopped lettuce, tomato and ketchup. Oddly, no onions are put on the standard burgers. There is a condiment/sauce bar, so if you do want something like mayo, BBQ sauce, or one of the other dozen sauces — help yourself. The décor is clearly paying homage to the golden era of burger and malt places in the 50s, but with a thoroughly modern décor. The place was well staffed, well lit, had appropriate music, was generally clean, and was well-stocked. The seating is a nice collection of booths, tables, and stools for groups of any size. The place is counter service where you pay first then wait for your order is delivered to you buy a cheery young person who has either been well-trained or else heavily dosed with anti-depressants. I did not like my meal, but I am coming back. Look. The food was not bad, but I got bad execution. I am going to chalk it up to the grill being staffed by guys who have only been on the job for a few weeks. My burger was ordered medium. It came out well done. My burger came with a heavy char(which is a good thing) — the kind you can only get from a really hot grill that sears the outside, carmelizes the sugars in the flesh, and seals in all the juices. Burger 21 clearly has a great grill, but the guys manning it left my burger on for X-seconds too many that pushed my burger beyond its target doneness. Not a big deal. Despite being well done, the burger was not dry. The heavy char sealed in all the juices without being fatty. I was too hungry to send it back. Burger 21 fries are like McDonald’s — which I use as a high compliment as one of the consistently best in the business. Burger 21 fries are thin, fresh, and lightly crispy. My fries came out super salty in one area and unsalted in others, which is what happens when you don’t toss the fries. I complained and got a new batch. The second batch came out salt encrusted. I compared my fries to a neighbor who didn’t have the same problem. I complained again and got a third set of fries — still quite salty, but edible enough and I can’t keep sending orders back without looking like a douchebag. My beer was not great, but that is my fault as I chose a seasonal flavor. So, I left feeling disappointed given all 3 things I ate were not fantastic. I literally walked over to Publix to buy a giant bottle of water to try to flush out the ocean of salt I just ate. Clearly this place has potential. It is nice, new, and fairly clean. The people and service could not have been better. The ingredients are lovingly selected. But I am of the view that if you essentially do only a few things and do them all day long, you should be great at it — and perhaps more importantly — be consistent at it. I can see how this place can get 5 stars from other people. I may come back another time to give them another shot, but it may be a while.

so yes, it’s open, and it’s a welcome addition to the NC burger scene. I’ll say it now, these guys BEAT Fiveguys hands down and give Bad Daddy’s a run for their money. Actually, Burger 21 is more on par with BGood burgers. It’s just a BETTER quality burger. Don’t get me wrong, i’m all for a greasy fat laden burger but, the 1⁄3 pound Angus beef and brioche bun take burgers to a new level. I had the black & blue which i must say was a treat. It did have applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato, blue cheese spread & crumbles. YUMM. My wife & daughter had the cheesey & bacon cheesey respectively. They both agreed it’s the best«sit down» burger they’ve had since Bgood. My daughter said it’s the best burger she’s had and we’ve had plenty. The fries are McD’s fries, nothing special there. Next time maybe i’ll try the sweet potatoe fries. I’m more of a Fiveguys fry guy. The shakes are a nice touch, i always wished more burger spots served them this was a CHEATDAYBLOWOUT treat…(I won’t spill beans on caloric intake of this meal). The shake I had was the strawberry short cake w/vanilla ice cream, my daighter the crème brûlée. Both were the cherry on top of a good mean. Service was was friendly and helpful. Young staff full of energy, which you expect for a burger spot. To go orders are no problem, they’ll bag it(in paper bag) and bring it to you. Needless to say, we will be back for more visits. But not too often, I gotta loose weight.(grin)
