//Cue: John Mellencamp’s «Pink Houses”// There’s a good guy with a good burger joint Living in a good neighborhood He’s got Kildaire Farm running through the front door Serves flamed grilled burgers, fried hot dogs, and sodas. And there’s a woman, named Mary, I’m sure she doing something with food And he looks at her and says: «Hey darling, we got the best burger shop ’round these parts.» Oh, but ain’t that America, for you and me Ain’t that America, full of character as you can see, baby Ain’t that America, in a 1950s throwback diner selling Little Pink Sodas for you and me, oh yeah, for you and me. Well there’s a young lass in a t-shirt Got braces and she’s the daughter Sarah’s got greasy patties, but not pressing down She says: ‘Fools press out flavor, not water.’ Throws the nicely charred burgers down the line To be dressed with your favorite sauces And the hot dogs, got great fried skins Made by staff who may or may not be the bosses. Oh, but ain’t that America, for you and me Ain’t that America, full of character as you can see Ain’t that America, in a 1950s throw-back diner selling Little Pink Sodas for you and me, oh for you and me. Well there’s more to eat than dogs and burgers That ain’t no bull, bull, bull Got cross-cut fries, shakes, and desserts But I was already way to full Ooooh yeah And there’s winners, and there’s losers But they ain’t no big deal ’Cause the simple man, baby, gives good service For a good price in a clean place for his grill Oh, but ain’t that America, for you and me Ain’t that America, full of character as you can see Ain’t that America, in a 1950s throw-back diner selling Little Pink Sodas for you and me, oh for you and me. [repeat and fade chorus with Corbette Shope cheerfully thanking you by name and wishing you a good day]

I love this spot. They have great burgers, fries and shakes. We love the rootbeer selection. The selection is all bottled rootbeers and it has a very old charm. It’s also a christian restaurant to boot. Overall we love going here with the family.

I just happened upon this place by accident. I saw it while driving through a parking lot and couldn’t resist going inside to check it out. Something was very inviting. I don’t know if it was the sign itself or the slightly large amount of people inside of this establishment. I walked through the door and felt like I went back in time to a diner from back in the day. Nothing fancy, but definitely a hometown casual feel. I’m a burger nut, so I ordered the biggest burger on the menu, fries and of course, a milkshake. I was not displeased and I left with a full satisfied belly. I definitely will be back there again.

Soo delicious! It’s a great place and although the staff was a tad slow, let me tell you — it’s completely worth the wait for fresh, handmade goodness! I reccomend the BLT and the fries with chili. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came here on a Saturday around one-ish for lunch. There was a very strange energy in the air here. Not welcoming. It was like a scene out of the old westerns where someone new comes to town and everyone just stops and gawks.(I thought I heard the faint whisper of someone saying, «This town ain’t big enough for the both of us». :0) jk) Even still, I decided to stay, against my better judgment for the food. I ordered the sodalicious burger with the sauces on the side and Grilled onions instead of raw; the seasoned fries and opted to choose a drink from their vast soda offerings. They are one of the few places in the area that has Blenhiem ginger ale so I jumped on it. My total was over $ 10 for this meal which I thought was a bit overpriced. The décor is quite dated and dingy looking but they do offer outside seating, so I took advantage of that. One of the workers brought out my meal but paid far more attention to the table sitting next to me. The burger was lukewarm, the tomato was mushy the bacon was rubbery and the bread tasted a bit stale and clearly manufactured. All the«signature sauces» tasted like various jarred condiments mixed together with no true flavor of its own. The french fries were lukewarm and mostly soggy. The burger itself and the fries had good seasoning which(along with the rumbling in my tummy) is what made it palatable enough to finish. Unfortunately, I don’t think this place is worth returning to. And it is certainly not worth $ 10. There are fresher burgers, a more welcoming atmosphere and a better value to be had at even cookout… Heck, even Wendy’s.

Corbett’s is a modern version of the old-fashion soda fountain. You walk in to this cozy place and immediately your eyes will glance over to the counter with the shiny red stools, well or the hundreds of bottled soda in the coolers. You may come here for the burgers but you don’t want to miss out on all those cool sodas. The menu has some signature burgers including one with their root beer bbq sauce, as well as burgers, fries, slaw, BLTs and grilled cheese. I ordered a single bacon cheeseburger just the way I like it with ketchup and lettuce. This was a good burger and just the right size. Not my favorite burger I’ve had in the Triangle but it hit the spot. I especially appreciate how crispy their bacon is it was perfect, and the fries were waffle fries with a little bit of seasoning on them very tasty. I saw some cheese fries at some other folks tables and I might have to come back for those. My lunch mate enjoyed his burger a lot and it seemed like it was plenty of food with a double. They also serve some milkshakes which were quite tempting if I had room for one I would have had a taste, they had a great selection of flavors. Nothing fancy here but what they do they do well. It’s definitely worth checking out!

I am really glad this place is way out of the way over in Cary or I’d probably have a seat at the counter with my name engraved on it from going there so much. There isn’t anything fancy about this place. They have a counter with stools, a few tables, and some patio seating out front. They’ve got burgers, hot dogs, shakes, and coolers with all sorts of bottled sodas. There are definitely more delicious burgers to be had, but you’re going to be paying like $ 12 for one of those. Corbett’s burgers are kind of in between those fancier burgers and a Snoopy’s/Char-Grill. They have all sorts of toppings you can put on the burgers which helps them edge out the latter. Same goes for their hot dogs. They offer Nathan’s all beef dogs or the regular red style. Even better, if you can’t choose between a burger and hot dog, they have the combo burger: a burger with a hot dog on it. What to wash down that tasty burger with? Any number of sodas or a milkshake. They have roughly three coolers filled with various sodas. One cooler is almost exclusively root beers. As for the shakes, I’ve only had the pumpkin pie one. It was great. I was expecting more fake pumpkin spice flavor, but it actually tasted just like a piece of pumpkin pie. If they ever are looking to open a location in Raleigh, please let it be near the Falls/Six Forks/Spring Forest Rd. area. They’re guaranteed at least one regular customer.

I really do not like to hand out five stars. In fact there are some five star reviews I’ve done where I would say I was just being too generous. This is not one of them. The burgers here were perfectly done, juicy, and delicious. My wife got the mushroom swiss and raved about it. I chose the BBQ soda burger. Nice crispy bacon and a delicious A&W root beer sauce. The waffle fries were hot and well seasoned. Perhaps this alone would be enough? Nope. They also have over 250 varieties of glass bottle sodas and root beers. How cool is that? We finished off the meal with a hand made salted caramel milkshake, also amazing. All this in a quaint old time soda shop atmosphere. Thanks Corbetts for the great food and good time.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz! I got a hot dog because I have yet to find a great on in the RADUCH area. And I still have not. Everything about the one I was served was just standard and boring. Up your game Corbett’s. Do at least one thing that sets your hot dog apart! My full review is at **The proprietor, Corbett, took the time to email me and post a comment. My response: Man, I meant no offense, I was just underwhelmed by my order. I think you are running a great, family owned place that people love. I am glad you set me straight that all your toppings are homemade and that you choose your ingredients carefully. I am definitely going to stop back in and try another hot dog and a burger as well. The only thing I take issue with in your comment is the claim that I don’t have good taste in food and that I am looking for some pricey gourmet hot dog. Ouch. I think I have at least decent taste and if you look at the 3 hot dog places in Winston-Salem that I mentioned, they are all reasonably priced and far from«gourmet».

I love this place! The old fashioned burger joint idea is awesome, and I like the feel and personality of it. The burgers are great, the hot dog menu is a nice touch, and the waffle fries are good, as well. My favorite burger is the Sodalicious Burger, definitely worth a try. The bottled sodas are perfect, and I don’t even know where else I could find a diet butterscotch root beer and multiple brand choices within each flavor variety. The only thing missing is the jukebox in the corner playing 50’s music hits.

Awesome selection of sodas. The burgers and dogs are on the greasy side, but tasty. Good stuff.

A cozy restaurant serving up classic American food and sodas. Too many burger spots nowadays are going for the big sell. Whether it be the ridiculous amount of toppings, or weird meats, or upscale environment, they’re all trying to impress you like a guy on a first date. But what I like about Corbett’s is that it goes in the opposite direction. It’s a subtle spot that lets its charm, and food, do the talking. When you enter you immediately see the multitude of sodas staring at you in the face. They have every kind of soda you could imagine, in all the flavors you could imagine. After you finally decide on what drink you want, you’re met with pairing it with some great food. The burgers at Corbett’s are not flashy, but 100% genuine. They grill they’re burgers over an open fire, and you immediately taste the great smoky flavor. I asked the chef, and he told me that they hand-make the patties every morning. Wonderful. It wasn’t the best burger by any means, but I really did appreciate everything Corbett’s did with their whole restaurant. I’d give them a 3.5 if I could, and would swing by if I ever caught myself in that part of Cary again.

I know what you’re thinking: «Not another burger joint in the Triangle, we’re starting to hit saturation point people!» Well, I can agree with that sentiment to most extent; however, in the case of Corbett’s I think this place deserves recognition as a deservedly unique, locally Cary run establishment with good burgers, dogs and fries and a unique soda selection. I’ve been in a couple of times and haven’t been disappointed yet. I recently had the SODALICIOUS Burger and it really was well… delicious, messy goodness. Old school, soft white bread(fancy buns can be overkill sometimes), crispy bacon, fresh iceburg lettuce, tomato and cheese and a better-than-Big Mac«special sauce» condiment. Seasoned waffle fries and a bottle of Richmond VA brewery’s Legend Root Beer, which leads me to the next topic… sodas: By far, the best selection of specialty, artisan, craft(what-have-you) bottled sodas with emphasis on root beers but there’s a little something for everyone with birch beers, shirley temples, grape/other fruits and yes your standard sodas all in bottles because it is that«je né sais quois» about drinking soda from a bottle that makes it the better over any other way. And certainly a good place to take the kids. My kids are very plain eaters(e.g. hot dog nothing on it and fries no seasoning) and they were very pleased and they got to pick their«big boy» sodas so they both got bottled Orange Fanta and were happy, and happy kid eaters equals happy parents. I should also mention that they have your choice of hot dog meats as well you can pick«reds»(pork & beef) or «browns»(all beef). Looking forward to visit to try out another root beer I’ve never had before!

The hubby and I are HOOKED on Corbett’s! It’s just all around great. First off, walking in, you get that old-timey feel with bottle caps all over the place, they integrated them in their Christmas decoration, the counter-top stools are bottle cap designed, and the condiments are kept in soda bottle carriers. The staff is very helpful and super sweet as well. Now the food – it takes a bit for your order to get to you(feels like a minimum of 15 minutes each time I come), but it’s well worth the wait! My favorite burger is the Spicy Burger. Between the sauce, the pepperjack cheese, and the jalapenos, it satisfies my hot-headed self. My second favorite(and the hubby’s favorite) is the pimento cheeseburger. How can you go wrong with pimento cheese?! Now, the burgers are great, but the star of Corbett’s is the soda. There are 5? cases filled with various sodas for your choosing. Choosing a soda for your meal is an event in itself. The hubby and I find ourselves going for the milkshakes though. I haven’t actually watched them make the milkshake, but I’m sure they add a bit of soda into it. I know it sounds funny, but it REALLY makes the milkshake different and unique. Our favorite is the Dulce de Leche. It’s sweet, but not diabetes-gonna-get-me sweet. TL;DR: Come to Corbett’s. You won’t regret it.

I was going to give 3 stars because it is a bit too pricey, but for food its a solid 4. The burgers were fresh and fries were very good. Yeah, they have every type of soda under the sun, but I found me a diet root beer so I was happy. I got my food to go but it was looking and smelling so good that I had to eat mine in the car. This is one of the burger places I plan to revisit.

A true gem found in a small shopping center. This is what I’d imagine an old time burger place to be like… burgers, fries, sodas, hot dogs and shakes. Burger…I got the«Gouda morning» burger… phenomenal! Gouda cheese, fried egg and maple drizzled bacon. whhhhhat! The waffle fries were great and the shake was spun up with a shake machine. Also…at the entrance they have over 250 different kind of sodas and tons of those are craft sodas! The counter even has a built in cap remover… the kids seemed to love that feature. Now be a good grandkid and bring your grandma and grandpa here so they can feel young again!

I finally made it into Corbetts for one of their Homemade Burgers that I had heard great things about. I can’t help but agree with the consensus because this is my favorite hamburger in Raleigh currently. Its diner style kind of like In-N-Out if you’re from the west coast which is maybe why I’m so biased towards that style. They have tons of sides, and a full selection of exotic sodas so this will be a regular stop for me. Staff was real nice and everything is dirt cheap, can’t wait to go back.

If you like soda, particularly old timey hard to find soda pop, this is the place! Tucked into a little strip mall where the Big Lots is, this place is like a step back to my childhood when having a bottle cap collection was one of my favorite pastimes. The 250 plus sodas are separated in coolers by flavors and the root beers have their own cooler — natch! If you can’t find a flavor to suit you then there aren’t any that will. Some of my favorites they stock from way back when are Green River(a Limey concoction) Kick-A-Poo Joy Juice(think Mtn Dew), Dad’s Root Beer, and several flavors of Nehi & Fanta. Heaven! You can even fill up a carton and take home any flavors you like. Sweet! Lots of burgers, hot dogs and more to munch on while downing all the soda too! I had the BBQ Soda Dog, which is a bacon-wrapped Nathan’s hot dog with A&W Root Beer BBQ Sauce, Grilled Onions, and Cheddar Cheese. Delish! I also had a giant pickle on the side that came in a little paper bag with a cute cuke logo. My dining partner had a burger that looked great, but she thought the meat didn’t have much flavor. I tried a bite and unfortunately had to agree. She also had the house-made Buttermilk Coleslaw, which honestly didn’t taste much better than KFC’s. I decided I’d just stick to the hot dogs on my next visit. All kinds of soda decorations everywhere, including a soda bottle soap dispenser in the bathroom. Even the stools at the«bar» look like they’re topped with bottle caps! We happened in on a Saturday and ordered our food just before the rush hit and it stayed steady till we left. Super efficient friendly employees. Of course, it is a great place to bring kids, but some got pretty unruly. Guess it’s all the sugar in the soda!
