Great food. Fresh moist fruit, light and flaky crepes with a gluten free option. There drink menu has a lot to choose from including lattes, teas, and more.

I’ve been to the Daily Grind in Morrisville(you can read the review for that location on my page), but I prefer coming here instead. The food tastes the same: as usual, I got the Oven Toasted Turkey Sandwich, which tastes exactly like the one I had at their café in Morrisville. However, I did notice that the sides change up a bit. Sometimes, they’d serve the sandwich with strawberries and slices of orange, and other times the fruits would be missing with only fresh greens on the side. I also ordered the Summer Salad, and it made me happy just looking at it! It was so colorful with generous amounts of various toppings on top of fresh leafy greens. Service was faster than the Morrisville location, but still slow regardless. Service has always been good and the staff very friendly. It is also more spacious inside, and would be a good place to get some work done(also free Wi-Fi!). They reserved the back tables(which are smaller than the ones found near the front of the café) for people who wish to study because it’s quieter there.

Cute and cozy coffee shop with adequate space for work stations, if need be. I had breakfast with a cappuccino(great espresso, not burnt) alongside my husband. I had a Groupon that was only accepted at the Cary location, found that out after going to Morrisville first. No biggie, was worth the 10 minute drive.

I asked for a hot chocolate, extra hot($ 3.50). It was served barely warm and tasted like warmed chocolate milk — the kind you make at home by adding Hersheys chocolate syrup to milk. Very disappointing. The husband ordered an iced mocha. It was basically chocolate syrup with little evidence of the presence of coffee/espresso. Also disappointing. The cushioned seats were deceptive — not at all comfortable, which I suppose ensures that no one will stay too long.

We purchased a Groupon as I’ve been wanting to check this place out and I am glad we did not go in paying full price. All breakfast crepes/sandwiches/ect are noted as including potatoes or fruit. I asked for potatoes with my order and was told they do not have potatoes, or the fruit. As this is to come with the meal, I asked what options they had. I was given a choice of cold potato salad or a garden salad. Neither are exactly sides I would like with my breakfast at 830 am. So we paid the full price for just part of what the breakfast should include(again, very glad we had the Groupon). When my breakfast crêpe finally arrived, it was cold and pretty skimpy for $ 9.50. The ingredients did not taste fresh and the turkey sausage is just the pre frozen patties. Cute location and would be a good spot to grab some coffee and work(free wifi), but would not recommend the food.

The menu is misleading because they don’t even carry some of the items. There were 2 people working when I went; a young girl who was nice and an older male who was not friendly at all! I ordered a crêpe that was broken apart with everything falling out and tastes like it was microwaved. I wouldn’t go back to this location again.

Came for a coffee meeting & ended up staying for a long while so I decided to get a wrap. I started my meal with the side of potato salad… ah-mazing!!! The wrap was delicious. I would go here for lunch again.

Nice little café(with free wifi) to hunker down and get some work done for a few hours… or so I thought! Came here one afternoon expecting to stay until close, which they advertise as 5pm, but they actually close at 3pm now, due to lack of business. Such a bummer and a shame! I was really getting into work mode and had high hopes for a productive afternoon, but time was cut short and I had to pack up and leave. Nice atmosphere and super friendly service though. The café mocha I ordered was really good too. I’ll definitely be back next time to try the crepes, but will probably stick to starbucks if I needed to get some work done.

Cute little café with free wifi. If I lived in the area I would use it as an alternative to Starbucks for reading or working on my laptop. I had the California crêpe, which was good. I liked having several side options to choose from(went with a fresh garden salad). I also ordered a mango smoothie, which was average at best. For $ 5, I wouldn’t order it again. The crêpe too was a bit on the $ side, especially considering it wasn’t huge. Props to them for excellent service.

I finally decided to stop in here after passing by it many times. They have a great location in Cornerstone. Employee was pretty friendly. I ordered a iced mint mocha coffee and a pumpkin muffin. Both were delicious, but seemed a bit overpriced. Also muffin was a little dried out.

I met my friend here for a coffee and chit chat and this place was perfect. Quiet and spacious. There were people working individually enjoying there coffee and it seemed they were all regulars. We ordered our lattes and got to our chit chat. Coffee was good and if I was unto it would have ordered some savory crepes. I am going back to try one of those.

I used to go here nearly everyday and really like Mike and his brother Jay. Over time though things began to change for the worse. 1) the coffee quality declined 2) the coffee selection declined 3) they began to serve food which is good(a good idea and pretty good food), but now the shop smells of old grease and cooking smells. 4) The level of cleanliness has declined which is most disappointing. I used to love this place.

I have this place go from being good to bad with the previous management. This is the first time I ventured with much apprehension. I felt the previous management did a better job with their décor. It had a antique touch to it. Now, it’s more like a regular coffee shop ambience. We had the Greek Cromlet, Cannoli Crêpe and Green Tea Frappé. The Greek Cromlet was appetizing and light. However, I failed to understand why this was called a Cromlet but not a crêpe. The cannoli crêpe was good try. However, I didn’t like the cannoli cream oozing out. That’s just my personal preference. Green Tea Frappé was a best of the lot. It felt so refreshing. You would never be satisfied with just having one sip. Since, we had a good experience the first time. I chanced on it again. This time I ordered the spinach and shroom crêpe. It was very well made and again felt light after ingesting it. And again, the Green Tea Frappé didn’t disappoint. Bottom line: Green tea frappé :) And good lean Crepes but not the best.

My daughter and I come here all the time. Usually before she goes to school. She gets a Frap(chocolate coconut I think is her new go to). They usually throw in some extra swirls of chocolate syrup on the cup and whipped cream for her. I get a double traditional macchiato. They are very nice and quick.

I like the electronic check out, however the last two times I’ve been here, my order has been wrong. Either the cashier hasnt been paying attention or she is kust hard of hearing.. frustrating..

I hate to give somewhat negative criticism but I just wasn’t impressed with my visit to the Daily Grind this morning. The plus is that this is one of the only coffee shops in the area that I could find that was open before 8am in the area, which is the only reason I ended up here. Although the service wasn’t bad, the staff seemed nice… they just didn’t engage in any conversation or really go out of their way to convince me that this was a coffee shop I should come back to. There just was nothing about this place to write home about(or to give a 5 star Unilocal review). I was hungry but decided that the prices on their menu for«food food» was overpriced considering where I was. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese that looked pretty ordinary– only to be told that they didn’t have any after I already paid(which was weird to me because there were 1 in the display case that apparently were only for show?) The coffee to me seemed burnt and didn’t have the flavor I was hoping for from a specialty café. I taste tested each coffee they had brewing and didn’t really like any of them. Maybe I was there too close to their opening time plus there was a new girl being trained — perhaps I could give this place another try but I probably won’t — Id go somewhere else. Also I didn’t order a specialty/espresso based drink. Maybe those have some tasty character?

I entered this place half mindedly as I had a bad experience with the previous management. First look, they seem to have a lot of options to choose from which I liked. After a quick scan, we ordered the Green tea frappé, Greek Cromlet and Cannoli crepes. It was a warm day and the Green tea frappé was simply prefect. We loved it. I had no idea what to expect from a cromlet but the idea intrigued me. However I was kinda disappointed with what I got. It seemed like an ordinary omlet & it was served with toast. I didn’t quite understand why they were called cromlets. The crepes weren’t the best I had tasted but they had way too much cream on the plate. Overall may be because I had very low expectations I enjoyed my brunch here. I would definitely consider visiting back.

This was my second visit to Daily Grind and so far I’m digging it. I can’t speak for the food since I haven’t tried anything yet but I like what I see on the menu. They make crepes, cromelets, and more! There is plenty of seating inside and outside and I find it a very comfortable place to sit and work for a few hours. The place is very clean including the bathrooms, which is always a plus. I’ve always been greeted by extremely friendly staff here and today they even brought me my coffee, it’s the little things:) My first visit I had the Iced Green Tea Latte and let me just say it made Starbucks Green Tea Latte look very sad. This is a really good latte and if you are not a coffee drinker I highly recommend it. I decided to just order a latte today and it was nothing special but hit the spot. I’m not sure what kind of coffee they use here and I didn’t see any fancy pour overs or anything being made, but I’ll be on the look out for it on my next visit. The shopping center where DG is located is easy to park. They only stay open till 5pm which makes this a great morning spot for me but I wouldn’t adventure out here in the afternoon I tend to like to hang out and work for awhile. They also have local art and photos hanging around all the walls to purchase. Overall a good local coffee shop on this side of Cary.

Ah, finally a coffee shop in the raleigh area that has plenty of seats, speedy wifi, calming & spacious atmosphere with tasty drinks! I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve never had a problem getting work done! Quiet setting, clean area, and caffeine in its yummiest form of all!!! I love their iced mochas– super flavorful and creamy! I don’t know what it is, but having their ice crushed really works well with their drinks haha I will add however that their lattes and mochas taste very much alike(so alike that I struggled telling them apart, uh oh) Anyhow, their drinks can get pricey(5 – 6 bucks for an iced mocha) but they make it well! They do offer plenty of sandwiches and pastries– however, I haven’t been able to try any of their entrees because they close at 5 pm now. I will be back MAINLY because it’s so hard to find coffee shops in the triangle where the essence of a coffee shop is captured like this one.

We went it was one of the only places open early for breakfast on a Sunday. I was not too impressed by this place, they have nothing original to offer. They actually don’t have any normal food that was done correctly. The flavor was lacking, the menu shows house fries but they do not serve any house fries. The eggs on my plate felt quiet lonely without potatoes. The toast was eh okay, if you put ample amount of butter on it, it was eatable. The owner said that their tater tots were pretty good, so we decided to try it. The tater tots were microwaved, soggy and cold. The sauce given with it was however good. The coffee at this place is decent and that is what they get the two stars for. The service is nice as well, but the food definitely needs revamping or some flavor in it.
