Office Depot

Do NOT order furniture for delivery from this place. I ordered a sofa for my office. They sent me an email giving me a delivery date and stating someone needed to be around from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ALL DAY) for the delivery. So, I waited in my new office without furniture for the entire day. At 4:30, I called and was told the delivery folks tried to make the delivery and the office was closed. That was a lie — and the Office Depot person would not believe that I was there the entire day. Then, the next day — the same experience. Run from this place.

I had some time to kill and needed some supplies for work so I stopped into this office depot. It was a little awkward to drive into, but once in front of store, I saw this was a really big store. In search of clearance items I walked around the perimeter and everything in between catching some really good items on clearance. One dollar candles and sturdy binders for ½ price. Also checking out was efficient, pleasant and without waiting. Great job Office Depot in Cary, I will happily return next time I’m in your neck of the woods.

It’s always frustrating to me to use a big box store. I was in here 4 days ago and needed an office desk. I talked to two very helpful people and the biggest issue was would it be delivered on time. I was assured it would be delivered by Friday. Great. Saturday came and no desk. Started calling and found out it would be many more days before that desk would show up. Not really what I planned.
So Saturday now I am on the hunt for a desk that I can take with me today. Must have now. Check several other big boxes and try here again.
I walk in and ask for the store manager and low and behold it’s the same guy who helped me Wednesday. He remember all of the conversation except he put blame on the female who was with him and said she promised the delivery not him. To me it was their company who promised and failed. Don’t pass the buck, stand up like a man and take the heat.
I did settle on a desk and he folded to pressure and gave me a good price for the issues.
Problem solved. But why should it be so hard to do business with a big box store?

Good stuff here and a very nice staff. I was originally going to purchase an office chair online (you know Amazon) however I ended up going here just to browse before committing. I am so glad I did! I found a much better chair than I would have gotten online. I am very happy with my purchases from this location. The staff doesn’t harass you every 10 minutes and let’s you look around.

Very big selection and they always have what I need to a certain level — they don’t cary any specialty computer items which is a bummer. But for simple hardware — they usually have everything I need.
Service is great and everyone is always nice. Despite how large this store is, it is never jam packed so my wait is never long — which is what I need.
Prices are also very reasonable.
Great order online and pick up in store option — makes the process even that much quicker!

This is probably the single biggest Office Depot I have ever seen…
They’ve got a pretty good selection of all their stuff. I went in for an office chair and got really lucky. They had a great selection, were running great sales, and this was the easiest thing I’ve ever had to put together.
I’d like it to be organized a tad better, but overall, I like it. I’d be back here…

After my bad experience at the Goldsboro store last week I decided since I was in Raleigh Saturday to try the Cary store. What a pleasant surprise! What great customer service! I needed a new overnight bag and had a $ 20 off coupon. The ones on display were nice, but my wife asked our salesman, Kumail, if he had a fresh one in the back that hadn’t been handled and rolled around, etc. Kumail got the rolling ladder and found one, still in the box! No complaint, no hesitancy.
Get in line at the front of the store (this is a popular Office Depot, and I know why now), and who has come up to help the cashiers out but Kumail, who ends up checking us out as well. You win the hustle award too Kumail!
Next time we need a large (i.e.expensive) office item, the Cary store will be our first stop!

I have always found what I need for my office at home here.

Office Depots tend to be my favorite of the big office supply stores. Their selection seems a little better, as do their prices (at least for the things I buy). This location has a different layout from the Office Depots that I used to frequent. It may be a little bigger, but it’s hard to tell because it’s so different. They have always had everything I needed (including items that I couldn’t get at the Staples that it near me). I recently bought some cordless phones here. The kind I wanted were only available locally here and at Best Buy. Office Depot sold them for $ 10 less. Made me happy :-)
