She does a great job on color and cut. Went once and loved how my hair turned out. This is now where I will be getting all cuts and colors!

I was and still am overly satisfied with her work. She worked around my schedule to fit me in. I get a little nervous going to a new stylist, but right from the start, before she even put me in the chair, we clicked and all my worries were gone. When I say, «Her professionalism, demeanor, attitude, respect, but most off all, her kindness is outstanding«, I mean every word I say. I live in Durham, and will make the drive to Cary, every time. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDED! !!

If you are looking for someone who really takes pride in what they do(and it shows, trust me!) then look no further! I had a Brazilian blow out keratin treatment done on my hair for the first time today and to say I’m impressed would be an understatement. She loves what she does and you’ll see that in the first few minutes you meet her. She cares about her clients and that is one of the many reasons I will keep going back! I’d like to add that this is the first review I’ve ever done of a place. I chose to write one now because I had too good of an experience not to share it!

This is an extension of the review I wrote for Men’s Cutz in Chapel Hill. I recently moved to Raleigh from Chapel Hill and was bummed at the thought of having to find a new hair person, because I was so happy with the job Gospel was doing for me. Turns out Gospel has her own studio(Shear Joy) in Cary. Very excited to not have to find a new person. A couple of words of note: she currently(May 2015) only does appointments by request in Cary. It is not a hassle though — I emailed her this morning and was sitting in her chair this afternoon. And this was the Sunday of a holiday weekend. Second, GPS has the location of the address wrong for both Apple Maps and Google Maps. Frustrating. The salon is in the Centrum shopping center and is two doors down from Baba Ghannouj(an excellent Lebanese place, btw). You might do better putting that in your GPS. The salon is one of those large salons where individual stylists each have their own self contained studio. So the signage out front doesn’t read Shear Joy, it reads JC Studios or something like that. Anyway, highly recommended!
