89.5 from the health department. Violations included not storing meats at proper temperatures, cross contamination, and storing non-food grade chemicals with food. Save yourself and eat at the Food Court at Cary Town Centre. Loads of Oriental style food to be had there.

I’m so happy to have found this place. The food is extremely good, the portions are large, the service is excellent, and it priced very reasonably. I would have given it 5 stars except that the vegetables on one of the dishes were a bit difficult to eat, but otherwise top marks. My husband ordered the wonton soup to start, and the pork with green peppers as his main. Both were excellent. I had the dumplings in chilli oil, which were slightly sweet– this isn’t to my taste, but he enjoyed them very much. I like a bit of warning when a dish that is savoury by name turns out to be a little bit sweet. I had the chicken and basil as my main. The chicken was tasty, but for me there could have been a lot more basil in the dish. Also the green peppers were in pieces so large that it was hard to eat them– the food was tasty, but just a teeny bit short of perfect. My husband chose all the rights things, and I sat opposite him wanting his plate :) Will definitely go back. Very fast and friendly service.

I have to say as a traveler who has had many stops at Chinese restaurants this was by far one of the top. First the service was over the top. Friendly girl and did an awesome job. The Mongolian Beef was very good. Many times you order this dish at a place and it has no taste, not this time. The fried rice was not dry and the steamed and fried dumplings(yeah I may have ordered both) was yummy. Highly recommend…

I find most Chinese food in the Triangle to be subpar. I’m a big fan of Red Pepper in Raleigh for their authenticity and inclusion of a non-Americanized menu. Tonight we visited Super Wok for the first time and this is where authentic Chinese in the Triangle is at. The twice cooked pork, which I don’t think I’ve found outside of San Francisco, was sublime. The tri pepper chicken was great and the Orange Beef, which took a little more time to cook, was amazing — a perfect light crispness on the outside, juicy on the inside. Friendly service and outstanding food. A great find.

The décor is not great but the food rocks. The whole fried fish is great and the steamed dumplings are strong too. There are many items not in the American menu. Great service too.

The food here is solid! I’m not an expert on Schezuan food but I thought it was very good here. BF and I dined in(takeout is offered) and we were the only ones there. Despite this service was still a bit slow and each time they refilled our drinks they neglected to give us ice, a bit odd. However, I’ve had much worse service at Chinese restaurants. Anyway, we tried 3 dishes based on Unilocal reviews, the dumplings in chili oil, the tri-pepper chicken, and the pea shoots with garlic. All 3 were great, my favorite was the dumplings!!! I was pretty much dipping everything into that heavenly oil. It’s not spicy at all but has a sweeter flavor. The heat is definitely there on that chicken but it’s tolerable. Just don’t eat the peppers. The pea shoots balance out the heat of the chicken very well and makes for a good pairing. I always find it best to order a meat dish and a vegetable dish . Though this place is a bit out of my way, I’m sure I’ll be back!

Pretty good Chinese restaurant with a couple of round tables for bigger groups. I have tried a variety of their menu items and have to say that I haven’t found one that I disliked. The tripper tofu is very spicy, in a good sort of way; it’s hard to really mess up sesame chicken since it tastes the same everywhere. The Mongolian beef is hit or miss on the salt scale, which kind of sucks because this is definitely one of their better and more unique dishes. The vegetable dishes are really good as well such as the pea-tips and shredded potato.

This is my go-to spot in the area for some authentic szechuan cuisine. I wrote about how I didn’t think C&T wok in morrisville really did szechuan food justice, but super wok does not disappoint. We always order the tri-pepper chicken, the mapo tofu, and the dumplings in chili oil. Fair warning though: tri-pepper chicken is killer spicy. This is not a joke. But the flavor is spot-on. You can just smell the szechuan peppercorns and it’ll make you sweat already. I also tried to dan dan noodles here one time and I am definitely going to order that again. Flavorful and large portions here! The mapo tofu here is so much better than what I’ve tried elsewhere(save for gourmet kingdom in carrboro). This is very very authentic food, evident by all the Chinese folks that eat here. Great little place in Cary. May not look like much from the outside, but you’ll thank me after you try it.

Was once the best Chinese place in Cary but has fallen off tremendously. The last time I ordered food from them they tried to pass off what looked like slimy spinach as broccoli in my broccoli beef. Both of their usual waitresses are rude. Don’t be surprised if one of their staff is chopping onions next to you while you eat. I’ve sworn off Chinese food since eating this place(has messed with my stomach more than once). Thai or nothing from now on!

Another dirty chinese restaurant like the many across America. My black pepper beef smelled like an animal carcass. All that brown sauce couldn’t hide the smell. And they overcharge when you use your card. I’m swearing off Chinese food permanently after this(stomach gurgle).

Very tasty, large portions. When we came for dinner it was mostly regulars. We ordered the chicken and broccoli to share with my son and a tofu shrimp hot pot. It was more than enough for our family of 3. One note, the drinks are in cans, so there are no free refills.

If you go here, pay with cash. They add a dollar or two to the tip when you pay with credit.

If it ain’t broke, let’s do it again! Super Wok is our go to for Chinese. We’re in their delivery area so we take advantage of the free delivery service occasionally. This past Friday, they told me expected wait time is 30 – 40 minutes but they made it to my home in 15 minutes and the order was right and the food was just what I needed at the end of a long week! Our go tos are the Mongolian beef, chicken & vegetables, string beans, and steamed dumplings. The dumplings are the best Chinese dumplings in the area that I have tasted. Pea shoots are cooked very well too but we are more string bean people — love that crunch and the minced pork with the beans — oh so tasty! The chicken & vegetables always has a good balance of vegetables to chicken and it’s a variety of vegetables. We’ve eaten at the restaurant too — it’s simple but reminds me of the Chinese restaurant my family used to eat at when I was a kid with a few huge circular tables and excellent service.

The food is 4 or even 5 star(oh how I love their sichuan hot)(look at my previous review), the beef in Sichuan spicy sauce and tri-pepper chicken are da bomb! the service is 2 star. On one occasion, we went near closing time and the waitress was visibly irritated, almost«shoo shoo“d us after we finished our food. She was in a great hurry, as soon as we finished, she grabbed her purse from the counter and literally ran off. And we tried to look at the funny side :-). She must have been in some urgent situation or something. Anyways, after closing of 35 restaurant, this probably is the only real Szechuan place left in the vicinity. As long as the food remains this good, I will keep making visits.

One almost certain way to warm the cockles of my heart is to serve me tongue-numbingly spicy Chinese food swimming in red chili oil. You can keep your Cantonese, your lo mein, your General Tso’s, your moo goo boo hoo. While I would never throw that off the table, if I have the option, I’m going for Szechuan every time. Super Wok joins 35 Restaurant and C&T Wok as viable options for such that are within shouting distance of my apartment. That the best Chinese comes from strip malls is a truth so ancient and universal it may as well be written in the Talmud. The location is small enough, at a strip near the corner of Chatham and Maynard, that I’ve actually parked in the wrong shopping center twice because I thought I’d missed the restaurant. The interior is pretty basic and is at least a little larger than a postage stamp, lacking for the stereotypical wall of Chinese food pictures that tends to separate the men from the oys. On a representative evening, spent with Lauryn C and Kuanyu the Bottomless Pit after a Unilocal event, we shared tri-pepper chicken, mapo tofu and lamb with cumin. Mapo is one of my go-to dishes, the chili-oil drowned dish referred to above. Pile some of that over steamed rice and give me a spoon(this is really not a dish for chopsticks), and I’ll melt into a sweaty pile of Szechuan-spiced jelly until it’s all gone. The tri-pepper chicken is the type of dish that gets one’s salivary juices flowing just from the look of the endless pile of peppers in amongst your chicken pieces. SW’s is one of the better renditions you’d find. The lamb with cumin dish isn’t one I’d necessarily have thought to order, but it had a great delicate flavor that reminds us that not all Szechuan has to be fireball hot. C&T Wok is ahead in my local rankings, but the current 3.5 star rating is lower than this place deserves. C&T is also twenty minutes from home versus the hop/skip/etc. it takes for me to get to Super Wok from Jones Franklin Rd, which gives this place a definite convenience edge. Join me anytime you want to get your sweat on.

By far one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to in the Triangle! Yum we ordered three dishes and all shared. The food was amazing, spicy, and delicious. We had the Tri Pepper Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, and Stir Fried Lamb with Cumin. It’s hard to pick a favorite between these three because I really liked them all. The tofu dish was pretty spicy but so tasty, I’m usually use to Asian tofu dishes being fried and was so happy that this dish was not it was so good, I would definitely order it again. I’m not a huge lamb eater but wow the flavors were spot on. And that chicken oh my goodness I’ll be dreaming about that tonight. I’ve been looking for some good Chinese for awhile now and it just so happened I’ve been craving it this week. Driving home I realized Super Wok is really not that far from my home at all. I see myself stopping by for plenty of take out in the near future. I was intrigued by the lotus root with pork belly on the menu and definitely want to try that next time. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of Maynard and may be deceiving from the outside but DO step foot inside you will not be disappointed. The dishes are huge and there is plenty to share. I suggest ordering a few dishes and sharing. Thanks to Jason S and Kuanyu C for taking me to this gem, I’m definitely a fan!

We order delivery from here about once a month. The food comes quick, hot, and is yum, yum, yummy! I have ordered general Taos, house special low mein, and stir fried rice with pork. It is always great and a huge serving. My favorite entrée from here is the dragon and Phoenix. The shrimp is delicious and I love the flavors combinations in this dish. The only thing I haven’t been a fan of is there spring rolls. They seem bland yet overloaded with pepper. I love there crab rangoons! They come with a nice sauce and are filled with cream cheese and crab. They don’t have hard wonton edges that I have got at many other places. For a delievery Chinese food this is my favorite! I will continue to be a regular and hope to stop by and check out the inside and have a sit down dinner soon.

I’m giving this five stars to counter some of the stupid reviews. I mean really, how can soup be «soggy». Anyway, definitely awesome Chinese and has very authentic flair. They have the usual suspects of course but also have an extensive list of traditional Classic Chinese dishes. No need to drive up to C&T Wok anymore :)
