Wake up Lucky 7 lovers, this restaurant has a 91 health score. To put things in perspective, anything below a score of 90 is failing miserably. A Billygoat would run from this kitchen. A score of 91 is like your high school student bringing home a report card with a D minus. Would you give him four stars?

Don’t bother, flavor was okay and the chicken dishes we got were laughable with the low amounts of actual meat in them. We won’t be back.

OK Chinese food with good prices. Lunch specials are a great deal. Good variety and overall ok. I’ve had a few things there and have not been disappointed.

I only order delivery, but the food is always on time and hot. I love their spare ribs, pork fried rice and egg rolls. The crab rangoons are pretty awesome too. I also like the delivery people, they are always friendly and provide excellent service.

They won’t stop leaving flyers in my door, like 1 – 2 a week. Soooo many dead trees… So I tried it once and got the wonton soup and it was delicious but I was vomiting for two days after… didn’t make the connection to the resturant food so a few weeks later I ordered the same thing and was sick for 2 days again… even my husband(who NEVER gets sick) was puking the second time. I won’t ever eat here again. Only ever got delivery so I don’t know what the resturant looks like or what the sanitation score is…

Ordered food via Unilocal with a payment processor titled ‘Easy Street.’ Over $ 50 was instantly stripped from my checking account for the order with an estimated delivery time of 45 – 60 minutes. Cool. Soooo we wait. And wait. And wait. 80 minutes later, we call and are placed on hold. After sitting on hold for a solid 5 minutes, we are told that because we ordered online we can expect it to be even LONGER. No estimated time, they could not provide one yet they assured us the order was on the way… At some time… Tonight… *exhale* Two hours and seventeen minutes later, 2 of the 4 main dishes and 1 of the 2 egg rolls we ordered arrived. The food itself is precisely what the average North Carolina Born individual can whip up using the first Googled recipe they find while shopping in Harris Teeter — Except the rice. That white rice takes a special type of person to steam/boil then nuke, nuke, nuke and presumably nuke even a 4th time in a microwave to achieve the paste-smush appearance and texture. And about those egg rolls? Pork chops breaded then fried in lard are less greasy and likely healthier than this veggie-oil-soaked-filet-of-carboard encapsulating just under 1⁄10 of a shreadded cabbage leaf GMO roll. Not only is this NOT Ameri-Chinese food, this is information super highway robbery. I’ve been on hold — Disconnected — On hold and still holding for 36 minutes for at minimum a partial refund, seeing it’s been almost an hour since the delivery was made and there was no *whoops* call from the restaurant. Unilocal should certainly employ a payment processor with real-time mediation and mitigation capabilities.

Beware: I ordered Shrimp fried rice and it was horrible. It was delivered cold and rice was so dry that it was not edible. I called to speak with the manager and he explained that fried rice is supposed to be dry and refused to redeliver a better quality of food. Terrible customer service — did not offer refund or redelivery. After this experience, I will never order from this establishment again.

Our first time ordering from Lucky 7 and we are not disappointed. We were being lazy and wanting some great take-out, and chose this spot. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty, and the delivery was pretty fast. We had a bit of a carb-fest with combination lo mein, egg & scallion fried rice, sesame chicken, and steamed dumplings. The lo mein was very flavorful, but the tiny shrimp are a turn-off. The sesame chicken was crispy and hot, but could have had a bit more heat to the flavor. The fried rice was hot, but was likely pre-made and sitting in a larger hot dish on display — It was not made fresh, yet was still tasty. Dumplings were flavorful and hot. All in all, a good first try. We will definitely order again and try other dishes.

Was actually headed next door, to La Shish, which was closed. Had heard good things about Lucky 7, so figured what the heck. My friend and I had lunch specials. I chose Thai basil sauce with shrimp and brown rice. The only good thing to say about the lunch was that there were 5 large, meaty shrimp. Sauce had no flavor, and the portion was smaller than most Chinese take-away places. My friend complained that her fried rice had no egg, peas, carrots or anything else mixed in. The other thing was the bathroom floor was wet and the soy sauce container on the table had«stuff» on it. I didn’t want to see what the health rating was. I won’t be going back there.

Dirty, filthy establishment. If the food were free, I still would not eat there. I live near the owners and they keep most of the restaurant items in their garage… During summer and winter months! Hope no one gets sick!

Just did a takeout on a weeknight when wanted to stay in and get a bowl of chinese goodness. Ordered Sichuan Chicken and an egg roll. Pretty standard food, fast delivery and reasonable prices. This will be on my rotation for sure.

I ordered moo goo gai pan to stage up my typical order of sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. I am so disappointed, it was pretty much 50⁄50 chicken and mushrooms with a few chunks of zucchini and carrot. The chicken was very slimy and unappealing. I think I’ll stick with the tried and true from now on.

After debating what we would eat on a saturday night we decided on chinese. Little did we know that this was a waste of our appetite and money. We got takeout and ordered shrimp egg foo young, shrimp and broccoli, 2 spring rolls, brown rice, and crab ragoons. Our order was delivered in a fast and timely manner but little did we know what awaited us in Lucky’s brown bag. When we opened our bag and looked at our food we were surprised. We got a small shrimp and broccoli but we received an Xtra small order in the smallest chinese box we have ever seen. The shrimp and broccoli was cold and the sauce runny. The egg foo young was semi cold and the gravy was tasteless and lukewarm with many bits and pieces of congealed flour swarming around in the watery concoction. In addition to this order our brown rice was halfway cooked and had a crunch to it which resembled nerds that have been soaked in water. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and raw and mushy on the inside which was very dissapointing. Our last part of this hideous slop we mistakenly ordered was the fabeled crab ragoon. YUCKK! The shells were cold, sloppy and chewey. The filling was scarce and tasted like cream cheese goo. This was a very dissapointing experience that we will not like to repeat over again. I dont know what is wrong with the other folks on here who obviously have deformed tastebuds but their experience with this company totally contrasted with ours to an amazing degree. We will not be eating at Unlucky 7’s ever ever again. YUUCCKK!!!

We’ve gotten take out from here a few times now and they never disappoint. Food is always delicious and hot. However, there was one instance where my House Lo Mein had way more cabbage than usual and not enough meat and noodles as alike with their spring rolls, be prepared for cabbage.

Okay, I don’t particularly think this chinese restaurant deserves a four star but I want this business to flourish. First of all, their lunch special is unbeatable compare to the rest. Second of all, even though they give a plain service, the serving is huge. That means, I’ve been to Ginger’s, Pei Wei, and China Pearl, ALLSMALLSERVING. Pei Wei at least has good quality food. This is farther to my house but definitely worth the given stars.

This is my first time ordering from here and it’s actually really good! I am so happy to not get over salted Chinese food! I will absolutely order here again.

Good food and very fast delivery. We have never had any problems with getting incorrect orders. I’m sure it is not a common occurrence per the other reviews on Unilocal.Other places in the area seem to be quite a bit more expensive and aren’t any better than Lucky 7!

I’ll start with the positives. They have THEBEST crab rangoon I’ve ever had… and that’s saying a lot! Also, they have brown rice, which is nice. Very frequently, I just order crab rangoon to go along with whatever I’m making for dinner that night or as a little snack. If I do order a whole meal, I get sesame chicken, which is pretty good, but sometimes has a bit too much sauce on it. Less positive… When you call in for a phone order, it is nearly impossible to understand the girl who usually answers. You have to just know to start talking. But mainly, my biggest issue is the price of certain things. One time, I decided to have a relatively«healthy» meal… I already had chicken at home, but had no time/desire to go to the store for veggies or cook my own rice, so I called to get some brown rice, broccoli, and crab rangoon(yeah, I know that’s not healthy but I can’t come here and not get that!). JUST those things cost OVER $ 10. When I asked why, she said the cup of broccoli alone was over $ 5…what the heck? One other minor annoyance is that they don’t have air conditioning… so when you go in, it’s a burst of hot air with fans blowing. Do NOT go to eat there… just get takeout… of crab rangoon and brown rice :)

I used to order here whenever I wanted Chinese to show up at my door… After last night that’s not happening ever again. Can you say projectile vomit? I couldn’t last night because that’s what I was doing after eating a plate of lucky 7. I called the restaurant and in bad english they told me «No hospital paper– NOREFUND» even though I said we had all but two plates of the Chinese still left. and on a $ 43 order… that’s a lot of Chinese food.
