I’ve eaten at this food truck a few times and I always think it’s solid. I’ve been spoiled with amazing BBQ, so I think the stuff here is pretty good but not amazing. That being said, their beer fries may be the single best French fries I’ve had in my life. They’re the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and hot on the inside. I go back for the fries, and the BBQ is worth trying if you’re looking for a quick bite of pulled pork or brisket.

I’m humbled to say that The Humble Pig has stumbled to a three! I’ve sang their praises to everyone for two years since I last had them at a festival in Greensboro near UNCG. I was excited to see them at the Burke St Festival yesterday and I convinced several others to give them a try. Much to our disappointment, we tried their Brisket with Pimento Cheese Sliders. The brisket was so full of fatty inedible pieces that we just threw them away after trying four different ones! The Pulled Pork Sliders were equally disappointing as they had a good smokey flavor, but were incredibly dry! I will say that their Beer Battered Fries, I believe that’s what they called them, were incredibly delicious! Unlike any fries I’ve ever tasted, they had such a nice crisp exterior with a incredible flavor that made you want to make a meal of just the fries! The Humble Pig has humbled me to be cautious of dressing a pig up to be something that it may not be? When in fact a pig is just a pig!

Food Truck Tuesday: this week The Humble Pig. I remember this was the first food truck I tried so I was excited to see that they were coming. On this most recent visit, I decided to change it up with the Pow Wow Tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. These were delish and it was a lot of food! I also recommend the wings and Carolina Fries!

I got the opportunity to sample the delicious pork that is Humble Pig at a company sponsored picnic and their Carolina fries were so tasty! The fries were smothered in coleslaw, pork and and pimiento cheeses. I have heard so many great things about this food truck and they are very active at food truck rodeos, brewing events and serve lunches at corporate locations. Thank you for coming to our event and I highly recommend checking them out the next time you see them.

At our recent company picnic, The Humble Pig truck sure did pump out some tasty smoked BBQ! We chose the Humble Pig food truck/trailer because BBQ goes great at any corporate event, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Megan(their event/catering coordinator) was great to work with– good customer service & very accountable. The beef brisket was by far my favorite, but the pulled pork was a close second. I love their spicy housemade BBQ sauce! Though the slaw wasn’t amazing, the sweet potato fries were on point. The plates are $ 10 – 13 each but you definitely get what you pay for & the portions aren’t skimpy. They do take cash & card via the Square app. I wanted to try the wings but I was just too full to do so :) Do yourself a favor & get their brisket– it’s ahhhmazing!

uh those carolina fries. holy cow. or should i say pig? it is HUGE and totally loaded. for $ 11 you think it’s just your typical expensive food truck item. Instead it’s definitely $ 11 worth of pulled pork, pimento, fries, slaw, and other deliciousness. My only complaint is it could have used more pimento in it. i just love cheese so much YUM! well done

Had food from the Humble Pig last night at NCMA’s Big Lebowski party. It was way hot and the setup was way stupid, but the crazy long wait was way worth it! The brisket sandwich was delish! The meat was moist and tender, not too much spice, but very tasty. The bun was fresh and thick. The slaw was a little too vinegary for my taste, but it seems like everyone here in NC likes vinegar in everything. I, on the other hand, am not a fan of the stuff. The guys were awesome and were working their butts off to get the food out. We waited a while, but it was def worth it. In the end, my husband and I had a great meal at a decent price and enjoyed the yummy food while we watched a cult classic under the night sky! Awesome.

My coworkers decided to hit up the RTP food truck rodeo and The Humble Pig caught my eye. I’m always down for exploring new BBQ places. My coworker got the Beef Brisket plate with 2 sides and so did I. First impression was that $ 13 for lunch was a bit much. We later found out that it was $ 10 for the brisket and slaw and $ 13 for that and fries. So basically, we just paid $ 3 for fries. I’m thinking this better be some amazing fries. The Food: Beef brisket was actually quite tasty. The meat was tender and had a nice smokey flavor. I tried it with the butt sauce which had the right amount of sweetness to it. The fries were good, but did not live up to the extra $ 3. The Service: The guy taking our order had an attitude when I asked a question. That itself makes me not want to come back. Overall, this is an OK place but there are better places out there for sure.

Pretty much amazing! I am from San Diego so it is hard to find a good BBQ place there. The brisket melts in your mouth and it was so soft. The meat was good alone but the sauce enhances the flavor tremendously. I don’t mind paying $ 8 for a sandwich that is well worth the quality. Would definitely recommend and will return when I’m in North Carolina again!

The Humble Pig came out again this year for my neighborhoods food truck friday. To be honest — if it were them every single Friday of the summer I would be happy. The food is seriously — SOGOOD. Got the Pow Chow Taco and it was delicious. The fries are super crispy and yummy as well. I didn’t use any sauce this time(because it really doesn’t need it), but I think next time I’ll experiment. If they keep coming, I’ll keep eating!

The Humble Pig catered our wedding and I couldn’t be happier! Jessica, their event coordinator, is the real deal. Just a few minutes speaking with her and I knew our wedding dinner was in good hands. ANDTHEFOOD! Oh my gosh, the food is so good. Just about every single guest told us how much they enjoyed the food. We had the sweet potato and sausage skewers and the pork mini tacos for our appetizers and we knew we were off to a good start when our guests were already talking them up. And then the dinner, wow, so good. We had pulled pork and chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, salad and corn bread. Not an untouched plate in the house! We were excited to share NC barbeque with our out-of-town guests and the Humble Pig did not disappoint. We’re so happy with our wedding dinner!

Delicious! Would give it 5 stars if the price were more reasonable. At this price point we will not return anytime soon, but we would probably be regulars if the sandwiches were a few bucks less or included fries. We got the Pulp Fiction and Pulled Pork sandwich. Both were tasty, but the Pulp Fiction was the definite star! Loved the sauces!

Beware the Unilocal address, find this place, it’s worth it!!! The listed address was wrong, but we called and found out the food truck was at the Fortnight Brewery. It’s was cold, it was windy, it was Soooo worth it. I asked what was good for first times, and was given a nice sample of the pulled pork and the brisket. Both are delicious, but the brisket was a bit fatty. I opted for the pulled pork dinner with sweet fries and coleslaw with fennel. The meat was moist and was very delicious by itself. I tried all the sauces, butt, sweet butt, and the eastern Carolina vinegar. All were great, but if fixed to choose is pick the can’t vinegar. The fries were crispy on the outside, and hot and cooked perfectly on the inside. Not like some places with too much mush, or too chewy. I can’t wait to try to make the slaw with developing. My point minor gripe is that it was too runny for my tastes. Loved that they were set up at the brewery! I’m only going to be here a month but I will be back again for sure!

For street food, Humble Pig is as good as it gets in the Triangle. Have had it a few times whilst enjoying the ever crowded downtown streets during the Oaks Festivities. Rich taste, great price… humble service.

The smoked wings were amazing and fried to a unique crispy perfection. It wasn’t fried chicken, but the skin was crackling and the meat was tender. I also tried the pulled pork, but was somewhat disappointed. Maybe it was because it was at room temperature when I ate it. The texture was alright, but the meat wasn’t particularly flavorful or «fall-off-the-bone» tender. Slaw was pretty good too.

HOLYWINGS, BATMAN!!! My office has field-tripped out to the neighboring parking lot for Food Truck Fridays a few times, and this truck is always a hit. The guy who works the window is always so nice and the line moves quickly. I finally got a chance to have their wings before they sold out and they are HUGE and seasoned well. I didn’t even use the«Butt Sauce»(hehe) but next time I will be sure to try it with that. The beer fries are super awesome, as well as their baked beans. And I don’t even like beans!!! It’s fresh, local products and isn’t exactly cheap when you check out the prices, but the amount of food and quality you get highly justifies it.

Just had lunch at The Humble Pig, since they were parked down the road from my office. It was my first visit to this truck and I tried the two smoked tacos deal with a side for $ 11. I had one pork taco and one brisket with a side of cole slaw. Both tacos were delicious! Not your typical taco. You can think of them as «red neck tacos» and boy did I savor every bite! As much as I liked the pulled pork, I think i liked the brisket even better. I wish I had known the tacos came with slaw on top, then I wouldn’t have ordered it as a side. I liked the slaw, but I think sweet potato fried or beans would have made a better side. Oh well, I chalk that up to being a «noob» and will know better next time! Although a little on the pricey side, if I spy the Humble Pig out and about again, I won’t hesitate to hit them up!

After all the rave reviews I knew I had to try out the Humble Pig stat and as luck would have it, the Raleigh Food Truck rodeo was happening this past weekend, woohoo! $ 8 for the sandwich alone which is sorta pricey and I HAD to try the sweet potato fries. Thankfully the wait isn’t too long for the Humble Pig which is surprising. 5 — 10 minutes later I get a large sandwich with a small plate of waffle fries, score! I squirt on some kickin’ butt sauce and run off to find an empty seat at the rodeo. Humble Pig puts some great looking heavy slaw on top of the sandwich and there’s a heaping pile of pork. I bite in and the bun takes it all well, it’s got some moisture but the bun holds up nicely with some softness underneath. The meat is solid, tender, well pulled with some decent flavor. And it’s a lot of food. But in all honesty, I liked the sweet potato fries better. Reminds me of a version of Chick Fil A waffle fries, it’s well-fried, crisp with tender sweet potato inside. Overall a solid meal here at Humble Pig. I’m still trying to figure out how much I liked their pork. It was good but right now I’m favoring the pig served up at Porchetta over the Humble Pig. But still a very decent meal here at the Humble Pig food truck, thanks for the meal!

The Humble Pig took the cake at the most recent Durham food truck rodeo! After an hour and a half of stumbling around the park like hungry zombies, we hit this place up as our third stop! As we inched ever closer to the order window, items started to disappear off of the already vacant chalkboard menu — with the vacancy of our much anticipated brisket and sweet potato fries. We ended up ordering a Smoked Chicken Wing and NC Pulled Pork Sandwich. You might be thinking«WTF» with the attached $ 2.50 price tag for the chicken wing… but let me tell you, it is WELL worth it. It’s a whole wing(3 joints, wingette and drumette), smoked to tender perfection. It melted in my mouth! As for the sandwich, the smoked, shredded pork was squeezed between two soft, pretzel-like kaiser buns with a dollop of slaw on top. We added a heavy drizzle of «Kickin’ Butt» spicy, sweet, tomato-based sauce to finish it off. By far, this is the best BBQ I’ve ever had in my life! Tender, smoky, shred-dy… a delightful marriage of flavors. This heavenly BBQ managed to soothe my 5-year-long, sorrowful cravings for the firehouse, smoked bbq from my hometown. OHMYDAYUM — this is how BBQ is supposed to BE! Time-wise, it was a 15min wait to get to the ordering window and a 10 minute wait to get to the food(this was after the big rush) — but the food is WELL worth your time. Once you taste this smoked BBQ, you will be singing sweet Southern praises to the soul-food gods. Dayum, dayum, dayum!!!

Oh wow! Eating at The Humble Pig was a humbling experience! especially because they were parking so close to Humble Pie last night! I’ve seen this truck about 2 – 3 in the past month whenever I leave Tasty Beverage Co. Another one of their usual parking spot is on Cabarrus St in front of Deep South The Bar. Even before I see the smiling face greeting me I already smelled the deliciousness. Wasting no time, I quickly ordered a barbecue taco, while checking in on Unilocal. That’s right, be sure to check in here to get your complimentary dessert. The Pumpkin Pie flavor was awesome. The delicious pulled pork barbecue blended well with the sweet slaw, and everything is served on a deep fried flour tortilla. You can make this even better, topping your pork with one of their signature sauces. You definitely want to try Kickin’ Butt Sauce or that tangy mustard sauce; but if you just want to be a BIGBABY and whine about the spiciness, then you can certainly use the Butt Sauce, and I will just silently mocking you behind your back. P. S. Recently I was tipped Humble Pig also deliver to tailgating spots and holiday parties! They’ll smoke your Thanksgiving turkey for you! How about that for a full service truck.
