I last reviewed on Aug 24, 2014. What I said then still stands. Get the Chicken Green Curry and enjoy just half of it. Have some shrimp and/or Miso Soup to help fill you. Take the Chicken Green Curry that is left, home. Have it for lunch the next day. You won’t be disappointed!

You know, I can’t think of a decent reason why I pass up on YoHo and hit up Tasu for sushi in Cary. Maybe the exterior looks too commercial for me or the name seems strange. At any rate, I was looking for a mid way sushi spot to meet friend at, so YoHo is where we landed. We ordered the chicken hibachi and a sampler platter of sushi. Everything was fantastic! Better than Tasu! Also our waitress was very kind and unusually patient with another rude customer. Kudos to her! We’ll be back! Just wish I had noticed the help discount before we left.

We were quickly seated and our drink orders were taken. Tea was delivered while we browsed the menu. The waitress never returned. 20 minutes later we left. Could not find anyone to pay for our tea. Very bad first time visit.

Based on the dine-in experience at lunch time, I would rate this place 2.5. We were underwhelmed by the service of the waitress. She made us feel like more of a burden than customers. My sister is insisting to have food poisoning from the steak hibachi, but I can not attest to that. The miso soup was mediocre at best(way too salty to enjoy). The food was delivered promptly, and the orders were correct. I brought my leftovers home and ate them, so I really can’t say the food was the main issue. However, I would not dine in again(still on the fence about getting take-out).

I had Crazy Roll. Fish was Smelly, tasted BAD and NOT fresh. I could not eat. I very much enjoy sushi and have eaten hundreds of rolls from many places around town and around the country. This roll was the worse by far that I have ever been served. Hope I will not be sick. :(

My wife and I love YOHO. The Sushi is always really fresh, the rolls are creative, and the taste is very consistent from visit to visit. The service is great and the décor is great. Our go to sushi spot in Cary.

True to its moniker, this is a bistro catering to multiple Asian ethnic food types and consequently doing none of them particularly well. I do have to admit that the tuna sashimi with ponzu sauce appetizer was pretty good, but the green curry chicken I had as an entrée was forgettable. Lesson learned — figure out what you want(Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc), check Unilocal for a well-reviewed resturant that caters to that singular ethnicity, and go there.

Every time We have been here the experience has been great. The sushi is delicious and fresh. The servers are nice. Some can have better knowledge of drink menus but not a deal breaker. Will be back again soon.

Do you eat sushi with a fork? Is your favorite roll a California roll? Do you use kids chopstick helpers to help you hold them? Do you like your rolls with more rice that fish? Do you want a place that doesn’t specialize in one type of food(Japanese) but is subpar in many(you can get subpar Chinese here too!)? If so this is your place! This is the $ 5 Foot Long of the Asian world. Compare it to Golden Corral, or grocery store sushi. Would you ever buy a meal from a gas station? If yes, then you might actually like this… I’m from CA and the dead give away should have been their fish specials… Do you really want to buy raw fish someone who is trying to get rid of at half price? Sushi came and the actual fish was smelly and chewy and there wasn’t a lot of it. More rice than anything else. If you don’t care about quality and just want price– this is your place. Careful though, if you order one large plate– they will b1g1 on your cheapest roll, it’s better to do separate orders and push plates in the middle to share. I won’t ever go back or admit to actually dining there. Best of luck.

I’ve been dining at Yoho Asian Bistro for almost five years now and have NEVER had a bad meal, experience etc. I can’t understand how this restaurant continues to only have 3 stars.

This place has really gone down hill. About 4 months ago the sushi was pretty good but now the quality is much much lower. Now the sushi is super small, not fresh, and generally doesn’t taste very good. The other problem I have with this restaurant is that the servers are so rude! They are very judgmental and not friendly. After my past 3 visits being less than subpar I won’t be back again.

Went to YoHo today with my sister for lunch, and we were seated immediately. They have a long list of different sushis to try, and they all sounded nice. I ordered a miso soup, ginger salad, a california roll, and a new fashion roll. Both the soup and the salad were good, nothing especially good or bad about it. The soup had come pretty soon after we ordered, followed by the salad, and then the sushi. The new fashion roll was composed of crab, cucumber, asparagus, and fried sweet potato. The sushi was good overall, although the rice tasted like it had been left out for a little before it was served. The ginger that was served with the dish wasn’t dyed pink, which i appreciated. I’m not much of a wasabi fan, but my sister said the wasabi tasted weak. Overall it was a nice experience and I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I’ve been eating sushi since the late 80’s. This is the best sushi I’ve had in the triangle area. Great pricing, good staff and good service. The sushi is just super.

We eat at several Sushi restaurants but Yoho definitely has one of my favorite rolls … Pink Lover Roll! Very accommodating as I typically ask for additional sauce. Staff is very pleasant!

Went here for lunch with a few coworkers. Most of the table ordered sushi rolls and I ordered the salt and pepper calamari for the table to share. Calamari came out first and something tasted off. Took another bite and realized that instead of salt and pepper, they had dumped a bunch of cinnamon on it. I asked the waitress about it and she went to the kitchen to ask. When she came back, she told me it was supposed to have a slight taste of cinnamon. Ummm… it was coated in the stuff. They didn’t offer to comp us or redo the order. Very disappointed in that. The sushi rolls came out soon after and while they weren’t spectacular, I enjoyed them. I find that a lot of the sushi places around here add way too much to their rolls and and you end up tasting everything EXCEPT the fish. Sometimes simple is better, although I suspect that doesn’t go over too well with most of the patrons. Service was on the slow side and after we got our food we didn’t see our waitress again until it was time for the check. I might come back here if my coworkers pick it again, but it wasn’t anything special and the lack of action to correct a mistake in the order has me turned off of this place.

This review is based purely on the sushi and service. First off, I came here with high hopes. Sushi Iwa in Apex(my personal favorite place for BOGO) used to be called Yoho as well, so I expected some similarities between the restaurants. They both have the good deal, but this place has far less unique/wide ranging options for sushi. I found my rolls and my friend’s rolls to be extremely bland. The server was not being blatanly rude, but was giving me bad vibes and I almost felt like the staff was gossiping about the group I was with… ??? very strange. An acquaintance of mine worked there and expressed that while the pay is good, the staff were all extremely judgmental and rude to her for no reason. She told me this before I ever mentioned my personal dissatisfaction with the restaurant. Overall, this place is okay for BOGO sushi, but I personally won’t be visiting again. Any grocery store would have more satisfying sushi as far as I’m concerned. Can’t believe this place is still in business to be honest.

My wife and I were very disappointed in this place. She order two different sushi rolls and I order the emperor fried rice(beef, chicken, and shrimp). Both sushi rolls were very bland. We both really like sushi so we went in wanting to love it. The fried rice was also very bland. The whole dish just tasted like oil. I know fried rice isn’t the healthiest meal, but the oil slick left on the plate was testament to their overuse of oil. The décor is exciting. It is clear they meant for this restaurant to be a more upscale dining. Their prices however are more inline with cheap Chinese takeout. The food quality is even worse than takeout.
