Food was as expected. I was curious about the restaurant as I had heard they were a good middle between P.F. Changs and Chinese fast food. I ordered the pad thai and though that it was alright. A little too sweet for my taste but others might enjoy. I do enjoy their sushi option of 4 pieces or 8 pieces. It makes for a good sized appetizer with a main course. Sort of reminded me of Noodles and Co. With the drink machine and the format of their menu. Despite this overall, my experience was fine.

I visited on Saturday, Dec. 19 and had a terrible experience. I went with my wife and daughter for dinner and when my food came out, the entrée was wrong, the rice was wrong, and there was a hair in my food. When I asked for the entrée to be remade, the response I got was«okay.» No apology whatsoever for things being incorrect OR for the hair in the food. When the entrée finally came back and I thanked them for bringing it, I got«of course» as a response. Also during the visit, we asked for knives but were told that all the knives were dirty — we never got any. Dirty dishes were on other tables and remained there for the duration of our visit. Disappointing.

We came here on a Sunday a little after lunch and I regretted it. Don’t get me wrong the food was really good, but it was just so busy and crowded. It took a bit for us to get our food, but I only chalk it up to the time. I got Mongolian chicken with lettuce wraps. I loved everything about my meal and it had a great flavor. I would like to come again but just not at a busy time. I will say I applaud the customer service. My husband and I were sitting next to two people, one of which had not received her meal in quite a while. Before my husband and I left, someone came with her food and said, «Ma’am I do apologize for the wait. We are extremely busy and the kitchen gets a little backed up. I would like to offer you a full refund for your meal.» Good job Pei Wei.

Not at all satisfied with the food. Ordered lettuce wraps. Chicken is so sweet. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Pei Wei was a pleasant surprise, as I made a last minute stop for an Asian bit to eat, based on some Unilocalers reviews. The Beef Fried rice was good and so were the veggie spring rolls. Very nice to know that there is an Asian ‘fast food’ spot that I can add to my list of: Quick, easy, good food, for nights on the go.

Fresh food, fast, enthusiastic, energetic staff. I order cool combinations of spicy, lemongrass Thai food. The place is always clean. I like it.

Awful! Staff was nice, but the place was filthy(not busy but nothing had been bussed) with crap all over the floor and tables. Food was luke warm at best. We’ve been to the Pei Wei at Brier Creek with great results, but the Cary one is sub par. Best to go elsewhere.

Well this place is sliding downhill fast. The portions have shrunk and the service is slacking. Pick up salad had no dressing. The chicken was tiny and over breaded. What a shame.

Everything has gone downhill. Waited over an hour tonight for food. New menu removed my favorite dish as well. Bummer.

Its a chain and the quality of the dish really depends on who is cooking it for you the day you go in. Ive had some out of this world mongolian beef here then sometimes had it served to me with the mushrooms being cold. That being said I love the dan dan noodles and mongolian beef and will always roll the dice to see what the cooks can whip up for me that day :) Its cheap and usually quick unless you go at peak time

The quality goes is off and on, but overall it is usually good. It is good for families or anyone that wants a friendly atmosphere and costs about $ 9 per person.

A-OK sums up this Pei Wei pretty well. I will give them props for making a decent vegetable spring roll. It was fresh and crispy and the dipping sauce that came with it was fairly tasty. The citrus green tea was pretty good. My salad was nothing special, unfortunately. I ordered the Pei Wei Spicy Chicken salad(original size — from the«healthy» menu) which came in a large bowl. The chicken was more tangy than spicy — I’ll give props for serving a copious amount of salad with a spring roll and drink for under $ 12, and though the food was fresh, it wasn’t particularly flavorful. Perhaps my dish was simply uninteresting, and wouldn’t be against trying something else, but with more authentic Asian places around the Triangle, I won’t be in a hurry to return to Pei Wei. Otherwise, not bad.

this place is always a great go to me and my girlfriend for some quick and tasty asian fusion. they always get the food right and the atmosphere completely lacks that fast food Chinese restaurant vibe. which is a plus should you choose to dine in. Pei Wei is one of the very few chains that i actually enjoy and don’t mind frequenting because of the service and quality of there food.

Not a fan of Pei Wei. I’ve gone numerous times in the hopes I was just missing something. Food is mushy and bland. Plus, way too salty. Dining area is a mess. Employees couldn’t answer simple questions about the dishes on the menu. And sorry, it is way to expensive for what you get. Done trying to see why some people like this place so much! Not recommending Pei Wei at all.

I love the food at P.F.Changs, and while there are no Pei Wei’s nearby my location, I stop now and then when I need a fix of Dan Dan Noodles. This time, it was a bad decision. We stopped on our way home on a Sunday evening to get take-out, I ordered online and knew I got there a few minutes before my order would be ready, but I checked in and paid first anyway. I had plenty of time to observe the super-inefficient kitchen and the straight-up drama between the girls working the take-out counter and the kitchen staff. A lady arrived shortly after me and the cashier explained that her order had somehow«gotten pushed to the back». She got her food just before mine, but not before she explained that it had been a full hour since she had placed her online order, expecting just a 20 minute wait. Her meal was thankfully comped, but once the manager came out to take care of that I was able to pinpoint the problem: the non-existent manager. GM or manager on duty that Sunday, whoever he was had been just hanging in the back doing who knows what. He had no sense of urgency, no curiosity as to what had happened or why her order didn’t get cooked at the proper time. He didn’t speak to the open-kitchen staff, barely spoke to the take-out cashiers, who were clearly frustrated and overwhelmed(I actually saw them all but turn people away from ordering by flat-out telling them it could take an hour for take-out). He just comped her meal, told the girl to apologize, and went back to the back without speaking to anyone. This is clearly the example he’s setting for the staff. This particular occasion on that night was just poorly run. The people who cared about taking care of customers(the cashier who helped me and one cook that expedited the lady’s order) had little to no power, and no support from the manager or other staff to get it right. My food was fine, in the end it took about 15 extra minutes, but the experience as a whole left a bad taste in my mouth.

The food is still good but the dining area is disgusting. The floors have food, wrappers and the tables look like they were wiped with a dirty rag. The silverware was dirty. What happened to the manager? Gross!

The place started off on the wrong foot selling me a Coke knowing they were out. Then the whole sorry Sir. Those newer Coke machine aren’t too swift as I’ve noticed in other places as well. The sushi appetizer … Better off picking up sushi from Harris Teeter that’s been sitting on a shelf all day. The Dynamite Thai that is advertised as hot … It’s safe for your infant. Having been to Thailand, the is a well over Americanized version. Maybe if they throw in a few dancing Ladyboys I could at least be entertained. Oh well, you have to try someplace to know all the stars don’t really pan out as advertised on Unilocal. You’re better off trying some other place.

I honestly want to get on board with the Pei Wei hype, but I just can’t drink the kool-aid. My sister is wild about them, as we are both gluten-free and they have a few options on their menu. Their stir fry lacks any flavor, though there is a ton of it, and is super pricy in my opinion. Why not go to PF Changs for the same price? And the to-go is not quick! Maybe that’s a good thing, you know it’s cooked to order right? At any rate, if I’m going to spend $ 10+ dollars for a quick serve meal, it should be delish. Sorry Pei Wei. I’ll go if in a pinch, but I’m just not in love.
