Gag! My simple bacon cheeseburger was so sad. It was not even worth eating. It was bland, the meat was so thin it was falling apart and it was pathetically put together. Man how I wish I’d had looked at it before leaving with it. The fries were soggy and bland too. What a waste of time and money.

Do not eat here especially on a lunch break. I’ve been to the drive thru twice, first time I waited 40 minutes for a meal, second time I waited over an hour for ONE shake.

Was there at take out for over 10 minutes and no service. The guy said are you ready and i asked if he was ready to serve me. He walked away. He was having a bad day i guess

Waited long time in drive thru to place and receive my order, 6:30pm, line was long. Got home to find my onion rings were missing. Went back and waited for a long time, in drivethru, again, just to get my onion rings. Onion rings seemed like they just took my original forgotten order and re-fried them to heat them up, little onion inside. Not like they normally should be here. I shouldn’t have to check my entire order before leaving. No apologies were given about their mess up. This wasn’t the first time something was forgot and I had to return to get it. The double steak burgers were ok after I reheated them when I returned home.

Always love going here. Good food. Fast service. Great burgers and fries and awesome milkshakes. Love the coupons they offer and such a great deal. Very comfortable atmosphere and fun place. Love the music they play too. Great food.

Steak n Shake fan for decades. I know how things work. These are not«fast food» places. This location is fine. Seated and treated wonderfully. No complaints. The«minor»(not adult yet) waitress was superb. Wanted to make sure everything was fine. Made fresh coffee and kept my cup warm. Milk shake as always, awesome. Some people need to drop the attitude the whole world should revolve around them. Like the sign says, ‘It’s worth the wait”. Slow down and smell the steakburgers.

This establishment should be closed! 1. Entirely too many people working & not getting orders out. 2. Our family waited over 20 minutes after ordering only to see kitchen employees with gloves handling money, picking up things from the floor & serving food at the same time! When we did get our order, the employee yelled out«the Roto– Roter guy is here!»… We were so disgusted we literally drove off & threw the food away– Do NOT waste your money or bother going here– TERRIBLE management!!!

Got our waters and then didn’t see our server again. All the servers were leaning against the bar chit chatting. No one came to take our order. Pretty irritated. Thanks for nothing guys ! Maybe a new staff is in order.

Deeeeeelicious. I am currently finishing my food I just got and stopped to write this… also to savor the flavor before I devour the rest of it! Did drive thru… got a garlic burger, fries, and a nutella shake. Very friendly order taker and cashier, likely a manager. Food was warm and fresh and handed to me in reasonable amount of time. Burger was very large and filling. Fries do get cold quick… nothing you can do about that but microwave and they’re good again. This Nutella milkshake, ugh, i wish it never ends. It is that good! Great experience, great food and great price.

I called in an order for their Apple Harvest Chicken Salad. When I arrived to pay for it, the manager apologized that they were out of apples(the very first word of the title) and said they would give it to me free! I stopped by Publix on the way home and bought an apple. Great customer service!!! Shows they put the customer first.

I have had customer services issues here before mostly from uncaring management. time I waited 5 minutes with my one said nothing then others came in. there was open tables. asked how many and I said party of 2 and party of three. she then asked two who just walked in who said 2 and she sat them. done

What happened to Steak and Shake? They charge you for food you don’t order(fries when you order a sandwich only), they don’t cut sandwiches anymore. I am very disappointed. Food quality is ok, they are better than the Altamonte store when is comes to preparation.

Horrible! Absolutely Horrible. I went in, hurried and I told the waitress that I was pressed on time and that I had ten minutes to order. She told me she had a customer first for which I agreed. However, instead of helping me or her customer she went to the back and did not return for a few minutes to help me. Trust me, I have worked in a restaurant business and I would have taken ten orders by then. Totally ignored me. The second waitress, the older one, did the same. She said, she’d be right back, but instead went on the floor and ignored me as well. The third person, which they could have been on a break watched this from a booth not even flinching even though he very well heard that I was rushed. All three ignored the request and ten minutes to them meant absolutely nothing. When the chef over the grill called loudly for help as I explained my frustration, I simply walked out without ordering. For 3 people on the floor, to wait ten minutes without ordering this is an absolute customer service fail. Never minding that I would have to wait for the order to complete. As I mentioned above, I was in the restaurant business for approximately 15 years and when a customer meant they are hurried, it meant priority. The worst part, it was 10:30 a.m. and the place was not even busy. But again, this is a franchise– what can one expect from such employees? They simply don’t care.

For a fast food joint always good. This location can get busy at prime times but for 4 bucks can’t go wrong. Shakes are delicious and good size, ask for the malt makes it thicker and even more delicious.

I used the drive thru for my first experience at a SnS. If you have one you should do it well. They failed. I ordered a chicken guacamole sandwich, I received a Chicken Jalapeño sandwich. I called the store an hour later to let them know what happened and was put on hold to speak to a manager. I was on hold for 5 minutes then hung up. I could have called sooner or gone back if I didn’t have the extra responsibility of taking care of my 2 year old. Hence going through a DT. This is a big customer service opportunity that was a fail for this store. See photos attached.

Totally agree with both of these reviews. TERRIBLE! I have been to stake and shakes all over from Michigan to Atlanta and I’ve NEVER had such bad experiences as I have at this one and the one in Altamonte. Slowwwwwwww service, after repeating sweet tea NOT coke to her three times I got not one but two cokes?! Wrote their corporate office, got a generic response that the DM would be in contact. Never heard anything. We definitely won’t be going back!

Took about 20 min to get seated it was ridiculous and about 10 min standing to pay this was outrageous and it seemed to me that there were soooo many employees and none were accomplishing anything overall very unhappy

Why is it that Steak’n Shake can have so many employees running around but not getting anything accomplished? Every location we go to in the area(Altamonte, Lake Mary, Casselberry) seems to be lacking management and training. Individually, servers always seem nice, but we never get seated, tables aren’t cleaned, and orders never come out right. Unfortunately we had the craving and went to this one… our shakes came out just as we were taking the last bite of our dinners… sigh. We tried to flag down the waitress but she was always running around… but yet no one seemed to have food on the table. It is funny though, when we walk in, I can look at the grill(burgers in progress) and immediately tell if its going to be a good experience or not. We should of turned around, there were no burgers on the grill. Steak’n Shake also seems to be shrinking portions through thinker plates /cups. The late shake that came out tonight, which was nearly full in the glass, emptied into barely a quarter of a small styrofoam cup… so the original shake was in a glass that was really think and barely had any actual shake… sigh. Same goes for the chili my wife ordered… it was about half the size of what we usually get. Oh well… I guess this place is off-the-list of places to go for a good quick burger at a decent price.
