Stopped by to grab a Jumbo Jack on 10/31, a Saturday afternoon. The bathroom was so dirty, both the toilet was um… dirty and stall floor. Also, The entire bathroom floor was littered with paper. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. I decided with filth like that I was afraid for the state of the kitchen, so I left without eating.

1– They got my order wrong. 2– They reused the same burger patty and bun after it was made incorrectly. 3– I watched them microwave my burger patty and bun to make it hot again. 4– They lied to me when I asked them if they made it fresh or just reheated it… They said they made it fresh.

Food is always great. I usually go thru the drive thru. Its an okay of a wait. Usually i get the same girl and she isn’t the friendliest but I wouldn’t blame her if she wasn’t happy if she has to put up with not so friendly hungry customers. My complaint is one day i did decide to go inside… Big Mistake!.. You guys need to clean up this location is disgusting trash is everywhere outside and the inside wasn’t the cleanest. Service was slow But staff was actually friendly.

Slowest service in the world. Only go if you have 30 mins to spend waiting. Everything tastes of pure mayo. I was sad.

Quite possibly the longest wait times that I have ever seen. I have tried on several occasions, and have never waited less that 10 minutes for an order. The longest? 17 minutes. Yea, I’m done.

***Their chocolate milkshake was thick and had a good, mild chocolate flavor; it also came with whipped cream and a cherry; for a fast food shake, it was pretty good and not too expensive; the restrooms were also key free and did not require coins to operate like the restrooms next door at the Mobil station*** Like most fast food restaurants, this Jack in the Box has its own free parking lot.

Depending on whos working this can be a five star jack or a 1 star jack. So i gave it three stars. Its jack so you already know what your getting.

It is Jack In The Box so all the locations are consistent with regards to the food. What I did notice was that the staff was pretty cool. From the time I parked in their crowded parking lot, I was greeted. There was an employee out their cleaning the lot. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the girl mopping the floor. Even the restroom, had an employee cleaning. Hmm, I must have come in during their scheduled cleaning schedule. I ordered my usual Jack’s Spicy Chicken sandwich. It came out fairly quickly considering the fact that they were swamped. Getting out of the parking lot was like going through an obstacle course. The parking area is so cramped. It is fine if they are not busy. During those busy days like the time we were there, the parking is awful. Be careful, and do not run anyone over.

We have lived in Castaic for over 3 years now(it’s not a «shat hole of a town, Patty W — that’s just a rude and uninformed comment!). We have several fast food restaurants here. Most of them get your order wrong in the drive thru or the food isn’t fresh. We have never had a single issue with this Jack in the Box. The employes are always friendly and helpful, and never once has our order been made wrong. Our order is always fresh and comes out fast. I’m very happy with this Jack in the Box and it is our«go-to» when we need to stop for fast food. I have never been inside the restaurant so I cannot comment about the restrooms, but I don’t like using public restrooms to begin with because the cleanliness is usually not top-notch. Sure, the restaurant isn’t a 5-star place with executive chefs, but that’s why it’s fast food. It’s not supposed to be gourmet. The prices are great, service fast and friendly, and food is yummy. Not much more one can ask for when going to a fast food place. Don’t listen to commenters who obviously are too snooty for our«shat» town or ex-employees who are typically vengeful(ex-employees shouldn’t be allowed to post reviews). Try it for yourself and make your own determination.

Too bad you can’t give a lower score than one star, because honestly, this Jack in the Box is TERRIBLE. I had a job there towards the end of July/beginning of August. The managers there not only treat the employees like crap(which is part of why I quit after only a week… totally couldn’t handle being treated so horribly) but they train. Their employees to completely disregard almost every food preparation/restaurant upkeep guideline set by OSHA and the US health department. There were bugs in the back, they would leave food sitting out ALL day, and most employees working the fryers and grill did not bother putting on gloves or washing their hands. DONOTEATATTHISJACKINTHEBOX! Totally gross!

Remind me again why we stopped in a shat hole of a town like Castaic? Oh yeah, because hubby was feenin’ for a chocolate overload cake, that’s why. It was a Sunday, around 4:00 pm. First thing I noticed upon entering the establishment is that the bathrooms were letting off some terrible kind of funk. But I really had to potty, so I I left my husband waiting in line to order his stupid cake, held my breath and braved it. Ain’t no hidin’ the funk. the bathroom itself was nasty as expected but at least had toilet paper! Meanwhile, hubby had not moved an inch in the line that only had one person in front of him and one person already ordering. Obviously, several issues were at fault for this situation: 1) the customer was difficult and had little or no experience ordering fast food, not to mention a possible language barrier; 2) the place was woefully understaffed seeing as how there was just one guy taking orders; 3) that one guy taking orders looked ripe for a shooting rampage. He may or may not have had some mental issues, but in any event, I was not going to make him angry. We sat down to wait for our order(hubby’s cake and a chocolate shake for me) and the tables were disgusting. I don’t know when’s the last time they were wiped down with even a wet rag, let alone a disinfectant of sorts. They were sticky and had stuff crusted on to them. I chose to stand instead. We couldn’t wait to get the he11 out of there and ate our sweets in the car rather than chance getting a disease inside the restaurant. The cake was standard, the shake was alright … until I discovered that fully 1⁄3 of the cup is the whipped cream on top. Cheapskates.

I made a stop here on my way to the LA area. This is not a great Jack restaurant. The bathrooms here seem to always be smelly and not well maintained. The worst part is that the bathroom door opens straight into the dinning area. So people that are eating can see straight into the bathroom every time the door opens. The smell makes it hard to enjoy the food. I opted to just use the restroom and eat elsewhere.

We made a pit stop at Jack In the Box as we headed home from northern Cali. Pretty clean and well maintained restaurant. Staff was cranking out food quickly during the lunch rush. I had a Sourdough Jack and fries, not bad. Wife had the Jack Burger and curly fries with ranch. Kids shared chicken tenders and mini sliders. An A-OK pit stop in my book because it was not that busy.

Ugh… I hate LA… LA Traffic that is. I finally got back to work at 11am and I forgot to go to the Inglewood Ralph’s…Actually…I did not forget… I wanted to get the hell out of there. So, why not go get something to eat?! I think I am totally exhausting all of Castaic’s places to eat. Just need to visit a couple more and I have conquered Castaic… UNOFFICIALLY. I arrived around 12:08pm at the Jack in the Box and saw that there was a lot of CHP Patrol cars because of the incident at the I-5/CA14 transition this morning. I walked in and saw a very fancy dining area. You have about 5 – 6 high tables, 5 chairs for a counter seating, and 10 regular tables. The setting was very intimate. Like Vivien W’s. review, it was much cleaner and there seems to be a bus boy around. I ordered the #10(Sourdough Jack Combo with curly fries)…#10 again?! Hmmm… McDonald’s #10(Sausage Egg McMuffin), 101 and 110 Freeway, and I came in at 12:10pm ordering a #10…lol. Apparently, the #10 cost before taxes was…$ 6.78. Geez… whats up with the numbers game?! My total was $ 7.44…The number curse has been broken. :) Their PayPass wasn’t working… BOOO!!! Meal is good as always. Curly fries were awesome. Plus, it was a quiet meal with some old folks. I got a free show watching CHP pull over some cars and see a lot of people use the restrooms. I guess this is the Baker to Vegas type stop for people headed to Sacramento or Los Angeles. Now, i can mark this off my list. How many left? 20 days until my anniversary with Unilocal. Have Fun here and Keep Unilocaling!

Since the last two reviews, it appears that the bathrooms are now much nicer. They have two large garbage cans inside the womens. In the dining area, a bus boy also offered to clean a high chair as a father was going to place the child down to a chair that looked pretty clean to begin with.

I don’t know what was going on at this place yesterday. We pulled off the freeway for a quick pitstop. After parking I noticed that the garbage cans were overflowing. The bathrooms were closed and everyone was going to the gas station next door. There was a huge line. We promptly climbed back in the car and got back on the freeway.
