My wife already said it but I’ll say it again best taco truck ever!!! The food is always amazing! we have been coming here for years and stop when ever we take a drive to LA or having a craving for tacos del lengua(hands down best I ever had.) everything is good not just a few things, and the tostada with beans they include with every order is like icing on a very delicious cake if they cake were made out of authentic refried beans. It’s worth the drive where ever you are coming from try one of everything you will not be disappointed at the complexity of flavors and authentic taste.

Parked across the street from Pilot gas station, this food truck delivers tasty and inexpensive tacos. Order from the menu posted outside. There are no prices listed. However, tacos are $ 1.50 each and a burrito is $ 6.50. Both the pastor and carnitas tacos were full of flavor, with a nice helping of onions and cilantro. On the side are lime and radish slices. Your order comes with a fried corn tortilla with a slathering of refried beans. The burrito was sizable but less interesting and with muddled flavors. I would stick to the tacos. It’s worth a stop if you are in the area. parking — free street parking

Thought I’d try this place after the great reviews. It’s OK, not great, not terrible. Al pastor and asada tacos were pretty average, nothing like you get in México City, just your typical US Méxican food

Anyone giving this place a one star has gots to be a joke. Don’t hate just cause you can’t hang with good food coming from a truck. I’m sure this place is better than what you, your mama or your nana can cook. I’ve been eating at this truck for ever and I will never get tire of it. I enjoy this track as much as I did the first time I ate there. You one star grater I give you a one star on your review. I find your reviews to be useless and a waste of space. I have never had any problem with their food. all you one stars should go there and get the bolas burrito. Peace out and go try this place. I hope two one star grades don’t puck it up and changes your mind. Look at all the five stars this truck has.

Mandatory stop anytime I pass through here. I’ll skip breakfast or lunch just to make sure I have an appetite when I get here. I recommend the asada or al pastor with the salsa/chile on the side.

Stopped for lunch and ordered the carne Asada torta, bomb! The ingredients were surprisingly fresh. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection. Totally recommend.

We drove from NorCal and we were heading to Universal Studios. We wanted to pack some food to sneak into the park so we Unilocaled it. Took the next exit for this place and I’m so glad we did! I didn’t get to order what I wanted since my son only ate cheese quesadillas w/chicken but it was awesome because it included a tostada which my son liked too so when you’re a mom you MUST give it up. My fiancé had the tacos. Wish we had a taco truck in our town just like this *sad face. Oh and we didn’t get to save some to sneak into the park. It was gone in 60 seconds!

I honestly would not give a star if I was given the choice. We just moved to the area and everyone was raving about this place and that it was a must try. The good reviews must be because of the fact that this place is in a truck stop area & people can’t tell the difference. Anyone who has had real Mexican tacos in LA would gag at this food. I have made WAY better tacos at home as well. First of all the customer service is not great. Second: our tacos were not hot upon eating them. Third: the meat tasted like canned purée meat with a bunch of seasoning. Very mushy meat. I tried both the Asada and Chicken tacos. I just felt like I was eating a mouth full of mushy meat with tons of salsa. The tostada with beans, eh. Who can’t make that? Nothing special. I could not finish it and still felt bloated for the rest of the day. I regret trying it and will never go there again.

I never thought I would find such great tasting tacos outside the motherland. Very very good!!. I live in Bakersfield and the hour and a half away distance is worth the drive. You have got to try this place!!! I make sure to include it on all my trips south.

This is the only lunch truck that I’ll go to in Castaic the others taste like mystery meat and I’ve always gotten sick. I’ve never been sick from the food from this place they get their food from Casa Lupita which is by Denny’s so you can tell that the food is somewhat fresh. I like the flavor in the meat. Just don’t eat outside of the lunch truck the tables pretty gross it could be a little cleaner with that sort of stuff but I always take the food to go.

best taco truck i’ve had in many years, best of Santa clarita. I eat here on my lunch break every shift. Their meat is super great, im not sure why but it is the best! no annoying fat blubber on the meat. They even throw in an extra tortilla with beans on it!

I have been missing out! Always pass by Castaic, but had never stopped at this food truck until last week. Read one of my friend’s review on this place and decided to give them a try. Wow, they did not disappoint! I saw that there were actually two food trucks with the Tacos Jimenez name. They were almost directly across from each other on Castaic Rd. I chose the one by the Pilot gas station. They had set up a picnic table with some covering to shield folks from the sun. I chose to eat my tacos inside my vehicle because it was very hot and very dusty from all the trucks passing by. They do make other stuff besides tacos. I saw that they also made tortas, quesadillas, and burritos. I was looking forward to eating their tacos! My choices were the Pastor, Carnitas or was it Buche, and Lengua. I do not know which one I enjoyed more. They were all fantastico!!! Each street sized taco was packed with meat and toppings! Even better, they each tasted número uno in my book! Good service plus reasonable prices($ 1.50 per taco) plus muy delicioso tacos makes this food truck a destination for my tummy!

This is a must stop taco truck located in castaic, it even has its own little parking lot. The meats are always well seasoned, I dont normally like Asada meat but it is really good here, my favorite by far is a torta Al Pastor. They put lettuce, avocado, tomato, onions, and salsa. So delicious! If you’re driving down to LA I highly recommend that you stop here!

Tacos Jimenez is one of those little taco trucks that sits on the side of the road. This one is in Castaic at the top of the Grapevine. When traveling to LA we try to stop here as often as we can! I had no idea they had a Unilocal page until now or I would have review a long time ago! The tacos here a delicious! Generous portions and quality meat! The men that run the truck are very nice and courteous. Quick service since you’re on the side of the road… It’s right across from the Pilot gas station that has the super loud music. Can’t miss it. If you’re ever in Castaic filling up, try this taco truck! It is the best one I’ve ever been to. Period. Tacos Jimenez, 5 stars!

These tacos are good. I had 4 of carne ASADA and they had a lot of flavor. Anyways, I’ve tried another taco truck that’s orange or yellow and it wasn’t that good like this one.

Meats are well seasoned and salsas are flavorful! The al pastor quesadilla is my favorite but their asada is also good as well as the carnitas. Ok it’s ALL good. :) Grab a sidral or a Jarritos and enjoy some yummy, authentic, taco truck food! Don’t forget to ask for a torched jalapeño!

The chicharon gets soggy but I should have known better. Al pastor was amazing. Carne asada, pollo, lengua, carne y nopales… all solid. We got an al pastor enchilada and that was shockingly good. No aguas frescas but they do have Mexican and American sodas. And I prefer a table where you can add condiments rather than having that done for you but it all worked out fine. And that bean tostada. It’s so simple. How can it be sooo tasty? We had a party of 17 and they let us all order, dig in, talk, go in for round 2 and then finally pay. Considering how meager their margins must be I can’t believe they’d be so trusting but that trust was wonderfully refreshing. I heard that there’s a guy that drives down from Bakersfield just to get tacos. I believe it. 2013 #80 /365
