Classic dock seafood stand with lobster rolls, fried this and that, ice cream, drinks. I had a lobster roll here, but can’t says how it compares since it was my only one. On a sunny day, you can sit on adjacent benches.
So, I driving around coastal Maine in summer and flopped by Castine since a local had recommended it. You can sit on the dock and watch not much happen for quite a while without much compulsion to *do* anything.
A family nearby (announced by one of the kids to be from Darien) had lunch. A bike adventure company had a stop at a nearby restaurant. People without much to do did nothing. All in all, the perfect afternoon, in the midst of classic New England scenery.
