I’m done with this place… forever.
Bought a PS3 game last week for $ 19.50, and played it about an hour or so. Decided to bring it back and trade it in for something else… they offered $ 1.50 as a trade in value. Yes, one dollar and fifty cents. The game went right back on the shelf at $ 19.50, for the next moron to buy. Sorry, but when your sole purpose in business is to completely rip people off… you lose me as a customer. Gamestop, I know you need to make a profit… and by all means please do… but is it really fair to mark stuff up 1200%?
Bought the new Lego Avegers game for my son, and used my $ 1.50 credit towards the $ 49.99 retail price (hope you can sense my sarcasm) Reserved it ahead of time, and got some special ‘Super Pak’ code as part of my purchase. Got home, entered the code… and guess what? Didn’t work. Called the store, asked about the issue… and was told it is a ‘game developer’ problem… and that they hoped it would eventually be fixed.
Screw me walking in, screw me walking out.
Thank God for Target, cause this place will never see another penny from me
