Dined at Stumpy’s yesterday. Great wings, New York style pizza and Best Burgers in town. Good friendly service.

A friend recommended trying this place next time we were in town. After reading the reviews I’ve got to say they are pretty spot on. Food is really good. The rustic pizza was a little greasy but delicious. Anyway, the service was terrible. We are still sitting here at our table waiting on our server to bring us a cover for the ranch dressing she charged us for and forgot to bring for about 30 minutes.

Awesome garlic knots. If cooked long enough the pizza is great too. However, I have received several orders that were underdone. Toppings are also skimpy. I think an extra large warrants more than 10 slices of pepperoni, just sayin’.

Love Stumpys! Great wings, burgers, pizza and atmosphere. Free wifi too;) Plenty of tvs to watch your favorite games, pinball machines to keep the kids busy and great waitstaff. Closed on Mondays.

This place has terrible service and they close at 9 p.m. or at least that’s what you find out when you are watching the Thursday night football game and they kick you out with 9 minutes left. That said, it seems to be okay for their weekly poker league to play until all hours of the night. Can’t wait until this place goes out of business and they put a real pizzaria and bar in place. The only good thing there is their pizza is really good so if you want that order to go and be prepared to wait an hour to pick it up. I would give this zero stars if that was an option.

Stumpy’s Pizza is GREAT! I love that the crust is thin yet stiff enough to eat without being to crisp its perfect! We have eaten there several times the pizza consistency has been outstanding, perfect every time. The burgers are way better than they cost and you cant pass up on the GARLICKNOTS!!! The service is courteous and prompt and the selection of beverages(Beers) is vast. We will continue to make excuses to head south and eat at Stumpy’s

Ok I don’t believe my previous review was fair. That being said, I was told they have amazing chicken wings. We ordered the garlic lime Parmesan wings and a buffalo chicken pizza. I wasn’t thrilled with the wings. But for a pizza place, they were alright. The inside was incredible. Juicy and parted with the bone amazingly. But I like my wings on the outside with a crisp when u bite into them. These were more just chewy. But they weren’t soggy by any means. They were acceptable. We liked the pizza. The dough was yummy and there was plenty of cheeses, if anything I would have liked more chicken; after all that was my only topping other than cheese.

Since family is in town we decided to go here for a dinner. Everybody loves — I mean loved the pizza here before our experience tonight. We sat down, eventually placed our order with our so-called waitress who didn’t seem to enjoy her job too much. We ordered 3 pizzas, a few salads, beers, waters, and for the very picky eater in the party — plain boneless wings. Our waitress seemed annoyed at our large order. The pizza took longer than most would expect, whatever I guess. When the food finally came The server forgot the wings, forgot as in didn’t include them on our ticket at all. The manager later claimed that we didn’t even order it. Ok. So we told them we wanted wings so that my younger cousin could eat. Fast forward 20 minutes later and we are all finished eating — except my cousin still did not receive his chicken. Does it really take that freakin long to fry up some wings? Apparently at Slumpy Stumpys it does. Here comes the server, she said something to the effect of: «So, like, I feel horrible, but the chicken wasn’t written down here.» She then told us it would in fact be taken off the bill since it took so long. Great, right? The bill comes and the chicken is still there. Figuring a simple error I take the receipt up to the manager and said the chicken was still on there. «Did you eat it?» The manager kept insisting that since we ate the food, we could absolutely not have it taken off the bill(as we were told). WTF? I took the receipt and walked back to the table. The manager came over and proceeded to argue with us about it, insisting it was our fault and that we didn’t order it with the rest of our dinners. Even though we WERE told that we would NOT be charged for the dish, she told us that the server had only been there 3 days and wasn’t allowed to make that kind of call. Way to empower your employees to take care of the guests in your restaurant. Way to treat your customers. Nothing bothered us until the manager decided that a $ 10 chicken dish was worth arguing with my family about and ruining our experience. Bottom line: stand behind your word and do what you tell us you’re going to do. As a person who oversees service standards at a hotel I found your demeanor quite repulsive for the restaurant environment. Learn how to treat the people who pay your payroll. I deal with A-holes at work all day, didn’t think I’d be served by them afterward. Ever so sincerely, Me.

We’re traveling from Colorado Springs back to Las Vegas and Stumpy’s had some good pizza. The place was practically empty when we went in around lunch time but filled up decently. Service was acceptable but didn’t stand out. Is recommend this place over any of the major pizza chains any day.

The burgers are great. The pizza is good. They also have gluten free pizzas and desserts. They won’t deliver a burger though. The employee said they get mushy and too many people complained. I order carryout and the burgers were still great. 4 stars because they won’t deliver burgers.

Okay we officially and seriously love this place. Best wings and pizza in Castle Rock! Beer braised, fried and sauced to perfection. The hot sauce is dynamite and the ghostly(ghost pepper) sauce is crazy hot while still having great flavor. We got the margherita pizza and it was outstanding. I can’t believe Unilocalers only giving this joint 3 stars??? What’s up with that. We will certainly be back often!

Great Pizza. We have a huge variety of non-chain pizza in Castle Rock. These guys have NY pizza down pat. The«lounge» part… Not so much. Awesome Pizza, rubbish atmosphere. Frankly, I miss their old location, it was easier to spontaneously drop-in while on errands. The new giant spot is just plain weird. Don’t get me wrong, we love the pizza, the sauce is perfect. Just bring a flashlight, or lantern when dine-in.

I have lunch at Stumpy’s Pizza about once a week. I grew up in North Jersey and have lived in NYC… I know what good pizza is supposed to taste like and theirs’ is the best I’ve found outside of the New York City Metro area. Stumpy’s also has great wings and excellent burgers. Closed for lunch on Mondays. The Service is great. They assume you know how to eat a pizza, but if you don’t, just ask and they will bring you silverware!

I don’t understand why there’s so many bad reviews. I’m from the east coast, I know my freakin pizza. I love pizza, it’s my favorite food on the planet. I’ve looked all over Denver for the best pizza. Fat Sullys on Colfax was the best I had tried. I moved to Castle rock last year & knew it would be so hard to find something decent, if even edible. I have tried every… and I mean EVERY pizza spot in the rock. Everything was eh… Enter stumpy’s. It’s like the heavens parted and I was taken to pizza nirvana. For the Denver area anyway. East coast does have better pizza, but this is pretty damn close. Garlic knots are legit, even though they are a bit bland so I dress them up at home. I’m so grateful that we have stumpy’s… It really is great pizza. Best I’ve had in Colorado, that’s for sho!

Their burgers are good but their service is poor. Especially was staff. They are slow and forget basic things like silverware. Their soda has a moldy taste for some reason.

Large location but sub par pizza for the money. On the greasy side unfortunately. May stop in here at some point for a beverage and some pool but will avoid the pizza. Friendly staff.

We’ve been going to Stumpy’s since moving to CR last year. Not anymore. This afternoon I called to order a pizza. I was asked to hold and did so for 10 minutes without a phone pick up. After hanging up and calling again, I was again asked to hold. With that, I hung up and ordered a pizza from Granelli’s down the street(where the order was quickly taken). Taking a pizza order is a fairly straightforward task, but not at Stumpy’s. From now on, we are taking our business to Granelli’s! Enough said.

Went to this place with my sister when I visited from Florida. I got the original philly with fries. Loved it! My sister got the Yeti burger. It was huge and was way juicy. The staff was really friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. The pizza looked so good we decided to order it my last day in castle rock. So glad we did! We got classic buffalo wings and a Margherita Pizza. I am giving them a 5 for not only great food but helping to make great memories for me and my Family!

Went on Monday. It was OK, but I DO love the sauce and the thinness of the crust. Pepperoni on one pizza was a bit skimpy and sausage skimpy on the other(one topping on each pizza). The lady at the counter seemed to be offended or shocked that I commented to my adult son about thinking it inappropriate to bring children(who were running around, throwing trash at each other and pretty much unsupervised… little league end of season party? Anyway, keep your kids under control in public, please) to a bar, although it is more a pizza place, arcade, etc Whatever, it was a private conversation after watching kids, there, behave like wild animals… not the staff’s fault, just an observation. Yeah, I’ll be back for the pizza, but would only take it home with me. Prices? A little high, but I am hooked on that sauce!
