I was searching for Aveda products locally and found this salon. I was made to feel very welcome and was assisted finding what I wanted. When I made my purchase, I was told I had earned a free make-up application. The make up application was fun, professional and helpful, the woman went out of her way to give me some pointers and apply make-up in keeping with my style, which I truly appreciated. I’ve since been back to shop for more hair care and make-up and continue to be impressed with the warmth and professionalism of this shop.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Albany, NY
When my stylist(Melissa) called me to tell me she was moving from the Madison Ave. salon she had been at for the past year(where she was renting a booth) to this salon(where she’d be salaried), I was of course quite anxious. I live in Albany, so the thought of driving out to Schodack was a bit intimidating. However, the thought of switching hairstylists when I had FINALLY found someone to replace my salon in New Paltz(Shapers) after living in Albany for nearly three years made me want to throw up(and, mind you, I only lived in New Paltz for 10 months — Shapers was awesome and no one seemed to compare!). (What’s funnier, is I found Melissa by accident. I had booked with my friend’s stylist, who canceled on me last minute and offered me as a client to Melissa, who had just started renting her booth at that salon. Anyway, I digress.) When I walked into the salon(which, by the way, was a quick 10 minute jaunt on I-90 — definitely not a hardship for a good stylist!), I saw they carried all Aveda products, just like Shapers did. It also had a very warm, welcoming feel. Not pretentious at all. I was offered a cup of coffee while I waited, and I read a book(I was early — gave myself too much driving time!). Anyway, when Melissa saw me she worked her usual magic on my hair. However, instead of using the color she had used for the past year on my hair, she instead used the Aveda color, which was phenomenal. Melissa had spent the past year trying to tweak my color to be «just right,» and with the Aveda, it took one application. Also, while I was there, the owner(Sharon), was doing someone’s hair. I saw how she coached Melissa through using the new color(I was her first color customer since she had started). She had some great recommendations for both of us. She also — to my delight — had long hair(longer than mine). My biggest apprehension about going to the salon is that they’re going to insist on cutting my hair short, which has taken me a long time to grow down to my back, and is super healthy and well-kept — something I’m quite proud of. I love Melissa, because she completely respects this. I could see that the salon owner has a similar philosophy, and being an Aveda concepts salon, all the products are all natural. This place is truly a hidden gem!
