First of all… OMYGAWD the Milky Way flavor is the best thing I have ever tasted! I’ve literally been craving it every day since I first tried it last week. It’s chocolate caramel perfection without the overwhelming taste of chocolate (which I favor vanilla more… but love the chocolate here).
As for the service, that could use a bit of work. They’re friends with each other, just not the customers. When I was there with a few of my friends and deciding on flavors (chatting with each other), we get yelled at and rushed to order… not very pleasant. I would understand if we were loud and chaotic, but normal chatter about what flavor to get, not blocking anyone shouldn’t be bad?
Final Thoughts: Location good, parking not bad… Eh I don’t care much for the service as long as I’m able to get the delicious Milky Way ice cream in my tummy.

I moved back to Castro Valley recently and needed to get a birthday cake for my friend. I ordered online and went to pickup my cake on Sunday. Unfortunately with all of the Mother’s Day madness and online ordering system, somehow my cake disappeared. I could have been really upset and frustrated but the store’s owner, Rupy, didn’t let that happen.
Her store’s staff called her immediately to see what could have happened. While I was waiting they offered to get me some ice cream; had I not just had some at home that would have been great! They also offered me several cakes that they had in the case but none were quite what I had ordered.
After about 30 minutes and several freezer checks later, they unfortunately could not find my cake but offered an amazing solution to solve the issue. The owner herself called me and was so apologetic and promised to make it right. She came in early the next day and remade the cake and hand delivered it to my work 20 miles away, just in time for the surprise party we were having for my friend. It is so hard to find amazing customer service like this these days and I am so thankful to Rupy for offering to make it right and going above and beyond for her customers.

Great kids behind the counter and I wished they made the Red Velvet a standard ice cream!

When I was pregnant, I wanted milkshakes all the time. If my husband didn’t ask for them thick, they’d often be runny. They’re pricy so make sure it’s not milk you’re buying!

Okay, first let’s get one thing straight, the ice cream is all the same to any place you go after all it’s a franchise. The costumer service was horrible. Me and my family where literally ignore by 3 different employees. People kept coming and they kept helping them like we did not exist. I have work in costumer service ALL my Life. This was NOT costumer service.

We use to cone here because it was close and the service was good. This last time there the service wasnt that great. The new employee was doing his best and that was good. Upon paying i had a coupon and the lady who was assisiting the newbie said we couldnt use it because 3 scoops wasnt allowed i offered to pay the difference. Her reply was no you now have 2 coupons. the coupon expired that day. Like im going to eat more ice cream that day. I dont think she handled it well. Thats cool I’ll deive a littlw further to Hayward.

If you’re not looking for this place, you won’t find it. Walked in & was definitely bright as usual filled with different yummy flavors! Bought an ice cream cake & must say it was nothing special. The cake was alright but the ice cream was good! The cake crumbled a bit! But I like the workers! The service was quick & efficient! They made sure I was helped right away!

This is one of my fav ice cream places! I love nutty coconut & strawberry cheesecake !!! The service is… whatever but ice cream flavors r great… especially the ones I mentioned.

This place totally helped me out of a bind. needed to order a cake for my son’s birthday. I did not think about it until the night before that I needed to order it in advance. This location had the exact flavor and perfect size I needed. The person who helped me was super nice and helpful. I called two previous locations and nothing I wanted were available. The Alameda location was flat out rude. So thank you Erica for helping me out!

I ordered a ice cream cake for my sisters birthday. A young guy with glassy red eyes took my order. I said i want the Oreo cake (pointed at it) just like this. White with black drips and Oreo’s on the top with writing. I repetitively asked you got it? Are you sure?
Nope he didn’t write it down correctly.
Luckily I arrived early to pick up the cake. It was a all white cake with writing on it. No drips, no Oreo’s. WTF I ordered the Oreo Cake.
Thank God the cake decorator was there and fixed it as best as she could do.
Will not be back to this location. The cake was great but ill order from a different 31 Flavors next time.

This location is alright a little small. I would come back here if I were in the area. I love their ice cream.

You go to Baskin Robbins because you know exactly how it’s going to taste… good. Ice cream birthday cake is a bit pricey, but always a hit with the kids. The $ 1.50 scoop day is a good deal.

I’m completely disgusted! Sal should be fired.
Here’s what happened…
I went in earlier tonight with the intent to surprise my girlfriend with some ice cream. I had made my decision for what I wanted. I had it in my hand and was making up my mind on what to get my girlfriend when all of a sudden my hand, arm and face get misted by the spray of windex rebounding off the glass by Sal who was too impatient for me to move. Then after I looked at him he says «oh excuse me» with an attitude because I’m preventing him from doing his job. He could have at least started at the other end of the glass because after he was done contaminating my dessert he proceeded to wipe down the rest of the glass.
I was so shocked by this entire situation I didn’t say another thing just paid for the dessert and got out of there.
I don’t know about everybody else but I like cherries on top of my ice cream not poison.

Yesterday we went to Baskin-​Robbins to redeem my free birthday scoop coupon. My wife got a free freshly-​made, waffle cone with her two scoops. I opted for a sugar cone. All of our ice cream (nutty coconut, blueberry lemon cheesecake, pistachio almond, and cherrie jubilee) were very good. The service was decent. It was pretty much what you would expect from a Baskin-​Robbins.

They were really nice & since it was FREE waffle month w/​a purchase of 2 scoops of ice cream, they let me put the waffle cone in one cup w/​one scoop for me & my 2^nd scoop in another cup for my boyfriend. They accommodated me w/​out hesitation & was patient w/​my questions.

Yum chocolate chip and butter pecan.

I got an Oreo blast Frap. It was good. I would go back

I had my first Banana Split ever here! It was to die for, but I can not make it a regular thing as it put me into some sugar coma for the rest of the night!
I also enjoy their ice cream cones, good flavor and value.
The girls at the counter are not always super friendly though (or patient).

Since when did ice cream get so damn expensive?!
I came in to get a milk shake, a 1-​scoop in a cup, and a 2-​scoop in a cup for my mom, brother, and I — and the total came out to almost $ 14.00.
I didn’t care much because I love ice cream after dinner on a hot summer night, but I’m thinking it’s not worth the calories anymore.

Tuesday nights baby, that’s what it’s about! Not only because it’s cheap or me being cheap which is NOT THE ISSUE, But to show the kids how to save $$$$. They love coming to this place. We spend alot of time in Castro valley and even if it’s not Tuesdays and they feel like going on the weekends, then why not. My oldest daughter Sara is a straight A student for now and yes she is getting spoiled bcz they get prizes when they do good in school! Not only am I the ATM machine but a loving father that appreciates the hard work that they do to earn treats. (something that I didn’t get when I was their age)
The only thing that really sucks is parking, GOOD LUCK!!!
