Came here for a quick easy lunch with my 3 kids. It is right next door to Ross where we were shopping so convenient. It was during lunch but surprisingly not too busy inside. Prices are a little high for my liking. We choose the thin chow mein, fried rice, sesame chicken, broccoli beef and pot stickers. The food didn’t really have any taste. But the consistency was good. Chicken not too tough, broccoli tender, beef soft, rice not too dry. The staff was friendly. The kids were starving so we killed it, despite the lack of flavor. Reason for 1 star is the after effects of eating here. Within 3 hours one of my children and myself were feeling bad. Then bed time another child is puking in the bathroom. Now I’m laying next to my toddler who is tossing and turning with bubbly guts. No other symptoms. I feel like the food is still sitting in my belly. I couldn’t even eat dinner. I had to come on here and see if anyone else had any digestion issues here in the past.

Hmm where do I start? Well #1– food was cold! #2 sorry to compare to panda but, you can’t even do half rice/chow mien with half steamed veggies! #3 because you choose a 3 item plate. They will only give you small, baby sizes scoop of rice and put the third entry where the other half of the rice should be! Once again, in comparison to panda, Panda Express would give you the same amount of rice/chow mien/steamed veggies and just put your extra item in a small boxed container… And lastly, the lady will answer you in the rudest way possible. As if she’s being defensive, knowing her business is RIDICULOUS! Haha horrible experience here!!!

Looks very clean and everything is well presented but sadly the food was over spiced and rubbery. I wish I could find something good to say but even the staff were rude. At least greet your customers, hello how can I help you would be nice. Won’t be going there again. Presentation can’t win bad food or poor customer service I’m afraid. Thumbs down

Just noticed I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Anyways, I love this place. It may seem like your standard Chinese express take out type food but it’s better. Their food is so good and flavorful I love it. My favorite here is their honey sesame chicken. They don’t even serve orange chicken here because they serve better stuff. Their honey sesame chicken looks like orange chicken but the flavor and taste is so different. It’s sweet but really savory. It goes great with their fried rice. I will say though that I wish they add just a bit more sauce to completely cover the chicken. They also serve this salt and pepper chicken that tastes like salt and pepper porkchops but with chicken meat. Tastes better than popcorn chicken you’d get at a boba place. They even offer chicken wings here with different flavors and also the traditional Chinese food entrees as well. I also love how bang for your buck this place is. It only costs $ 5 for one entrée and one side. Their serving is also huge and will totally fill you up. They also have some dimsum and some soups here as well. The food is just so good here that a lot of times I rather eat here than a sit down Chinese restaurant. Everyone needs to give this place a chance! My only issue with is the parking. This pertains to the whole village and not just chefs express but there’s never any parking!

Very oily food. Not good tasting at all. Actually almost no flavor at all! Only because I already paid for it and have no time to go buy more food is the reason that I haven’t thrown it out. I won’t be coming back here. At least try out your food before putting it out for customers.

This is an imitation panda expres. What they called chicken teriyaki was not chicken teriyaki buy red meat surprise. The chow mein was greasy and crispy. This place is nasty! Panda Express is more flavorful.

I have been here several times by my self, and with family. I thought some of the food was good. I tend to stay away from greasy fried items. I have always liked the Kung pow chicken with zucchini, and spareribs. Clean, friendly, and fast. Skinny noodles are delicious

For a steamtable joint, this place is average. Workers were friendly and courteous. Ambience a lot cleaner than most asian joints. When I get tired of the same olé Panda Express, I venture out to different hole in the wall steamtable joints. My favorite part about Chef’s Express is the menu has more items to select from than Panda, a lot more! Just a little more expensive. Overall I could see myself going back to try the other items but it’s not something I would go out of my way for. TLDR: Great menu, somewhat pricier

This is my favorite place to grab a quick lunch! They have a large selection of entrees, and the staff are very friendly and heavy handed! You absolutely get your money’s worth here because the portions are HUGE! And the food is always piping hot which I appreciate. The place is simply sleek, laid back, and very clean. They have hot oil and soy sauce on every table. I love their hot oil! You must try the basil fish! Seafood menu items are $ 1 extra but the basil fish is so good, that I wouldn’t mind paying $ 3 extra! It is soooooo tasty, filling, and satisfying without being oily or too heavy. To be perfectly honest, I can’t speak on behalf of most of their food because Im a pescatarian so I’ve only tried their basil fish, eggplant tofu, and spring rolls, yes, I’ve easy been here over 20 times and I’ve only ever tried those three items haha, but honestly the basil fish is just that good to keep me coming back!!! I can vouch for those 3 things though especially the basil fish! And the thinner noodle chow mein! It’s super tasty! My mom however isn’t pescatarian an has tried and enjoyed many of their meat dishes, she especially likes the fried chicken wings with garlic or something like that.

Humm… so many bad reviews! I have had their food about four/five times now and I have been happy with it every time. No complains. It’s quick, cheap, plenty, plus yummy. What else for a casual fix for some Chinese food? I am a fan.

Sign in the window says one entrée and rice for $ 2.99 park my car wait in line and they tell me it’s only for lunch time which was listed at the bottom of the sign which had fallen below where it was visible. There were about 50 pieces of tape on the sign to keep it up on the glass but how about just putting the sign away after lunch is over??? Asked if they could honor the special they didn’t I walked.

Never ever again. I went here with my dad. He got his plate first, a two entrée. He asked for orange chicken. The lady gave him three very tiny pieces and said what next. Hes quite passive, but it made me angry as she didn’t say hello or anything when we arrived. So I asked her to give him more, she put one more piece and gave me a nasty face. So I said yeah more please. He got a little embarrassed and said its ok. Very very rude. For being more expensive that other Chinese steam table places, you don’t have any idea what customer service is. Will not ever go here again.

I’ve come here for take-out a handful of times. I love seafood; usually get the tasty basil fish, as every time I come in I’m told they are out of shrimp – which is what I really want! Big portions, also like the mushroom chicken. But not a fan of their sweet & sour. Can’t comment on beef dishes or anything spicy as I steer clear of both. If busy, the line still moves pretty quickly, and wait staff is friendly. I always pick up potstickers, not sure why others complain about ‘em, maybe I’m just getting ‘em fresh! Good place to go IF you don’t have time for Silver Spoon or Sunflower.

Sometimes when my daughter and I hit up our favorite Ross in this strip mall, we stop in for cheap Chinese food. Yesterday’s lunch was not impressive and quite possibly sickening. I had to douse my curry chicken in chili paste and soy sauce so that it could taste like something. I didn’t eat dinner last night because I felt stuffed and nauseous. Today I am feeling worse. Never again…

This place is almost like Panda Express except they have my favorite barbecue pork bun! Yay! Oh and Sio Mai too?! This is the only Asian restaurant I could find nearby that is open on a Monday. I didn’t look further, I was hungry. Ordered small sizes for 3 different food on the menu. I liked it and of course food was quick. If you use plastic to pay, minimum is $ 6 otherwise pay cash!

So, after my last visit where things were not smelling so nice and not ordering anything, I finally went in to try it again. This time, the place smelled decent and again the person behind the counter was super friendly! I would never have gone back except after reading some reviews on here and seeing that some of my friends like this place, I decided to give it another shot. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. I ordered the steamed rice, chow mein and had Kung Pao Chicken and Mushroom Chicken. The food was bland. Both dishes tased exactly the same. I wasn’t impressed. Prices are reasonable and again the staff is super nice… but I think this will be my last go here unless they add some taste to their food.

Gotta say avoid this place if possible. I liked the workers, but that’s about it. The food was overly greasy and unevenly glazed so it had that old food texture to it. I felt a lil woozy from the food after I ate it and couldn’t finish it. It was my first meal of the day and it made me feel a lil off. I am not one to not like many foods, but I defintely would not consider eating here again. We drove out here to try it because my cousin used to work at the restaurant this location branched out from, he said the food at the restaurant was good, but it wasn’t so here. If you would like to try anything, the ribs were decent. I had the sweet chicken and pepper pork, both did not taste good, and the chow mein’s the worst I’ve had in awhile. We all agreed we would probably not eat here again.
