I’m giving this KFC this rating because of customer service. The staff was great, but the manager was bad. Upon arriving(5÷30÷16) about 4:30/5:00pm was not busy and first in line, noticed that bucket meals seemed to be higher priced. The systems went down. Ordered 8PC dark meat meal original & grilled. The cashier at the time was doing her best to help me. The supervisor asked for help and had another person take my order. I was taken care of and did not have to wait to long for my order. However, At this time the manger comes from the office to start working on the systems. The manger was rude to the another customer who asked a question of, would it be fasater to go through the drive thru. Instead of him letting the rest of the customers know there was a problem with the system and giving them an alternative. He answered snidely, That might be better these systems are down and I don’t know when they’ll be up.

I go to kfc about once every 2 years. Drove through. Ordered big box #10: 3 pieces, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, biscuit and drink. Got home(live less than 5 minutes away) and found the smallest lukewarm pieces of chicken and NO cole slaw. Called then but I think they are closed since I went at end of day. Ugh!

Didn’t get a receipt but somehow my 2 piece meal with one small side was almost ten dollars. It isn’t on the new menu so I have no idea what they are charging for the old-school items. When I got home the mash potatoes had maybe 3 tablespoons of gravy and the beans were not full and was entirely liquid with just a few beans. I thought someone must be making a joke. And no napkins. In their defense, I didn’t ask for napkins, but it was a to go meal. Hate this place but it is so close to my house. I guess you seriously have to open every item at the counter. And per usual, they were out of crispy chicken.

Worst KFC ever. I asked for 2 thighs and a leg. I came home with 1 wing. What am I supposed to do with one wing between 2 people? I called, and got a written«coupon» for 2 free thighs. Went back there tonight: I asked for a breast and a wing. I got a thigh and a wing. Please have your staff be able to tell the difference between the parts of the chicken. It’s not that hard… If they can’t do their job, get rid of them and hire new people. I will be contacting corporate. 0 stars!

If I could give this KFC0 stars, I would! You would think because they’re in Castro Valley they should be on top of their game, but no! Three times I have been here and one of two things happen… They’re out of crispy AND original chicken OR their chicken is stale! HORRIBLE! And to top it off, their employees are so rude! Customer service is out the door at this location. You will see the difference in service when you go to the KFC On Hesperian. It’s like day and night. STAYAWAYFROMTHISKFC! The management should be replaced!

Worst KFC ever. My fiancé did not get her cookie last time. No condiments, or anything. Minor issues. Tonight, I asked for all thighs bucket, a mini lemon cake(they even asked specifically if I wanted the mini and I said yes), and a big box meal that comes with popcorn chicken, Chicken tenders, and sides, including mashed potatoes and gravy. I mentioned the lack of a cookie last time and she apologized. Didn’t offer one or do anything about it. Oh well. They gave me and charged me for a large lemon cake(I decided to not complain, it would get eaten). As I was driving away and checking to see if they charged me for that, I saw they put on the receipt«no sauce», but I was never asked about sauces for the popcorn shrimp. Oh well, not worth driving back. Then I reached into the bag to get a piece of crispy skin while I drive the meal home. That was odd. That felt like a drumstick. At the red light I turned on a light and looked inside. It was all tiny drumsticks. I was halfway home, but there was no way I was paying $ 15 for 8 little drumsticks. I went back. Time and gas wasted, i told them it was all drumsticks and that I hadn’t been asked about sauce and got a new bucket that looked like thighs and sauces. Good job! I get home and tell my fiancé who is in bed from a surgery, why I was delayed, and began to unpack the meal. She opens the box and there is no mashed potatoes or gravy, and in my bucket there are some breasts instead of thighs, something one must take chicken out and examine with greasy hands, not something to be done in a car. Of course, there goes a portion of our evening where our kids are with grandparents and she is recovering. Back to the store, and never again. Do no go here, but if you must, check and DOUBLE CHECKYOURORDER. Additional note, foot tastes good. Attitude of employed is good. Service time is good. If order was perfect it would have easily been 4 – 5 stars. But the inept staff is enough that my evening is ruined, I wish I had never gone there, and it deserves no stars.

Horrible! Horribly rude staff at this location. I dont eat at kfc often, so i had some simple questions. They wouldnt help without attitude and didnt even finish taking my order in the drive through before they told us the total and told is to. They didnt take my order for my drink and yet they handed me a drink when I pulled forward. we waited and asked what it was and the girl said pepsi and slammed the window shut before we could say thats the wrong guess for our drink. NEVER going back to this location.

Serious this place needs to get a negative stars! The cashiers are mostly rude and you can count on them getting your order wrong(short you stuff) pretty much 70% of the time through the drive through windows. God awful place…

First of all, I must say I LOVE Kentucky fried chicken! BUT this KFC location has the worst fast food customer service in the area! The workers themselves are polite. But the service speed is sooooo slooowww and I notice this for many years now. C’mon do something! Hire more workers rather than one person as cashier and preparing customers food orders! My fellow KFC lovers you will have to wait at least 15 minutes if you are lucky and make sure you check your orders and you get what you paid for! You may be surprised!

I order a bucket of chicken, especially asked for dark meat, got home opened it was all white meat… why??? so I brought it back an hour later, they were nice enough to give me a refund because they ran out of dark meat at the moment. But it still deserve one star, because I’m hungry, and drove a huge round trip… What a waste of gas and time

An hour ago(6:00 pm) purchased 12 piece bucket + extras = $ 46 for a houseful of grandchildren that LOVEKFC. The chicken was way, way overcooked and dry. Did not taste fresh. The chicken fingers/nuggets were so dry that one(hungry) child gnawed on it and the others just refused to eat. The biscuits were dry and hard and the gravy was watered to the point of being a broth. I think I got the left overs that didn’t sell to the lunch crowd and sat under hot lamps FORHOURS! Have tried 2x to call to complain and after 15 rings gave up both times. Will NEVERGOTOKFC again, or recommend them to other friends who ask for recommendations for their grandchildren. Mountain Mike’s was fresh, fast and tasted great!

Pros: It’s the nearest fast food place in CV that serves fried chicken.(I’ve been craving fried chicken for some time now, and I couldn’t wait any longer!) Cons: 1. Super slow service 2. A cockroach fell next to my plate from the ceiling as I was eating there. A COCKROACH! Can you believe it?! Seriously, that is so gross. I thought I should let the cashier know, so I went up to the cashier and told the lady what happened. She looked confused and she said she would let her manager know. Couple minutes later(after moving to a different table), the manager comes inside KFC and blankly asks what happened. I told him what happened and he says«What? That has never happened before.» and he walked away. There was no sorry. I don’t expect this place to be squeaky clean, after all it’s a fast food chain restaurant. But the least thing the manager could’ve said was that he was sorry for what had happened and at least pretend to care.

I don’t know why I even bother with this place. They are always out of what I want and it seems as though they discontinue the good items. This evening was the last straw. Once again they were completely out of what I wanted(wings), and went with a chicken breast(all they had was original). After quite a wait and seeing others waiting a very long time, my husband got our order which was two very greasy chicken breast that were falling out of the box because of all the grease that was sitting on the bottom. The chicken looked gross and there was no way I was eating it. We have never been to a KFC as bad as the one in our own town. Orders were not complete, always out of something’s, taking forever to get order, and now chicken swimming in grease. From nor on its Popeyes chicken.

My previous review of this KFC was when it was run by a bunch of teenagers who didn’t do there job. The food was always bad and missing items. And terrible customer service. And the last few times I’ve been here over the last 6months to a year this place has greatly improved. The food is way better, the place isn’t run by teenagers anymore. I use to drive all the way to San Leandro to avoid this KFC, now I go to this spot anytime I want KFC. finally a good KFC in the area. Thank you for cleaning up this spot.
