T Kane’s Kung Fu Karate

My little girl went here and she had a great time. When she got her yellow belt she was so happy she cried. This place I recommend to lot of my friends. But when she sign up for a other meet the price was so high. $ 20 just to do one event. But the teacher had her working with a other teacher so she can have some help with one of her make-​up self defense event for the meet. They were doing very well. The day of the meet the teacher who help her with her event told her to show her what she is doing for her event and she show her but then she said «No no the defense moves I should you when we were practicing for just example.» My little girl said «wait what but I thought that was for the meet. My girl was very upset because she only had 10min to make up something and guess what at her last competition she got first place but this time she got third place. This place is ok to come to.

this is the best martial arts school, just come by and ask any of the students or parents. all of the students are referred from another happy student or parent. Affordable prices and excellent teaching. If you want to learn to truly defend yourself if need be and have FUN doing it, come to T. Kane’s.

We started my 6-​year-​old son here a few months ago. We’d previously gone to another studio in Castro Valley. While the instructor there was great, they wanted us to sign up for a minimum 6-​month commitment. As I’m sure other parents of kids this age can probably understand, at 6 it’s hard to say if they will be interested in the activity a week later let alone 6 months later!
We decided to give T-Kane’s a chance as they allow you attend on a month to month basis instead. On top of that, their monthly rate is very reasonable (less than half of what the other place charged). Additionally, they are very flexible on the days and times that your child attends. My son can go to any class that is at his level during the week.
I was worried that my son would have a difficult time participating in a karate class because in previous activities (i.e. gymnastics or soccer), he just wanted to play and do his own thing vs. follow along in a structured setting. I’m happy to say that he really loves taking karate at T-Kane’s. Mr. Kane has such a nice way with the students. Have you ever met someone that is able to instantly command the attention of younger kids? That’s Mr. Kane. The kids seem to really gravitate toward him and listen to him. I’ve never seen my son so focused on what a teacher is telling him and so interested in learning more and getting better at a sport. He’s definitely come a long way in learning to participate in a group setting, to follow directions, and learn more self control.
My daughter was coming along with me for my son’s lessons and enjoyed watching so much that we started her there as well. She also has done very well there and adores Mr. Kane.
FYI, they also offer karate camps. My kids went to one during Thanksgiving week and they are offering another one between Christmas and New Year’s. I wasn’t sure they’d be able to handle doing an activity for 3 hours at a time, but they absolutely loved it and had so much fun.
If you’re thinking of starting your child in karate, I’d definitely check them out. They offer a free first lesson, and combined with the reasonable monthly fee and the month-​to-​month vs. long-​term commitment they make it easy to give it a try.

T– Kane Karate Studio is great! My son goes there and it is so affordable, it makes it easy for our family to go regularly. My son can go up to nine times a week if he wants for the same low price. And T. Kane the owner/​director is awesome! He has so many kids at once but totally pays attention to every detail! He doesnt miss a beat! We are really impressed, not so much with the karate itself, but with Mr. Kanes ability to handle the whole scene with such professionalism and thoroughness. My son is learning discipline and coordination and self esteem and we couldnt be happier!
