Rainbow Sushi is tucked away at the back of the produce section, appropriate for how fresh this fish is! We were pleasantly surprised that the reviews of it were spot on — no way could we have expected big portions, low prices, and fish this fresh when other competitors have similar models with nowhere near the results. We definitely liked the salmon and tuna nigiri better than the spicy salmon roll we tried, but that speaks more to the kind of hot sauce they use — a little oily, and more garlicky flavor than regular heat. No problem, easier to just get the plain rolls and fish and add our own wasabi! With prices like these, this will definitely become a regular lunch spot!

Hands down this it’s the best in Catonsville. The service is speedy, the selection is great, the sushi is gorgeous and fresh, and the price can’t be best. Plus, I love picking up groceries at the same time.

When it comes to bang for the buck, nothing beats this place. When I eat sushi, I typically require 6 – 8 full rolls to get my fill(once ate 96 pieces at RA’s annual sushi eating contest). At the same time unfortunately, I am also a sushi snob, having dined on fish from Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo and from various high end sushi restaurants in DC and NYC. This place strikes a great balance, offering up restaurant quality sushi at gas station sushi prices. So whenever I am in the mood for a sushi fix and don’t feel like dropping $ 80+, Rainbow Sushi is my immediate choice. As many have mentioned, selection is pretty diverse, offering your standard varieties of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and eel maki, nigiri and sashimi. Rolls typically go for $ 3.50-$ 5.50, with some of the larger nigiri platters at $ 6.99. TL:DR You need mass quantities of delicious, above average sushi @ fast food costs, come here

Had been having severe sushi cravings past few days. But am very poor. Read review on Unilocal and went(Lotte is 15 min from my house). Bought crazy roll and eel sushi. Total under 10 $, omg! Ate it all outside. Soooo gooooddd. Nice big pieces of fish, not a few strands like you find at other places. Very satisfying! And so delicious.

Delicious, fresh and cheap takeout sushi located inside the Lotte grocery store. The sashimi always look fresh. My favorite is the Crazy Roll. They also offer sushi platters for really good prices but you have to order 24 hours in advance. This is now my go to sushi place!

I go here often and the sushi is so fresh and incredibly reasonable. Not a huge selection but the normal variation apply Tuna, Salmon etc. I am a huge salmon fan and the pieces of salmon they give are just awesome!

Stopped in after some rave reviews at work and picked up some great sushi at ridiculously good prices. Nothing too exotic, but it’s all fresh and tasty. We bought so much that they threw in a free seaweed salad. My oldest was disappointed that they didn’t have sweet potato rolls though, since he won’t eat fish.

This is it: the holy grail. There is no better place on this planet from which to enjoy takeout sushi. Two rolls and a side of seaweed salad costs $ 15 and easily feeds two people: plenty of fresh fish(spicy filling, crab stick, salmon and tuna) and vegetables(avocado, cucumber) with just the right amount of rice to hold it all together. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and efficient, and after one visit, this is already my go-to sushi place when I’m feeling lazy but want something healthier than fast food. And for parties, $ 40 for a huge platter?! An incredible bargain. I’ll be back, probably tomorrow!

This is a vendor located inside the international grocery store. They also have a location inside lotte grocers in Germantown. Freshest! Best sushi! Extremely cheap! Bring cash if spending under $ 10.

Their quality of sushi seemed to have lost its luster from the beginning of their opening. Was not too happy with our platter but what do you expect, it’s from inside a grocery store. Lot of the sashimi tasted like it was flavored with salt! Should be 2 ½ stars.

I just ate here for the first time. It was a great experience. Lots of choices and excellent prices. The best priced sushi I have found so far in Baltimore. It’s is designed to be carry out. It is in the back of lotte so you can do other shopping as well. There are no tables at the sushi bar but there are tables on the other side of lotte. I didn’t try but I would think you could eat there if you wanted to eat it right away.

This is a sushi gem! Located in the back of Lotte Plaza shopping center they have huge fresh sushi at some of the cheapest prices I’ve seen. Great selection, and they will cut up something fresh for you if you ask. They begin to close about 30 minutes early though and won’t cut any more fish after that so your stuck with what’s left if you get there in that last window. Otherwise great place to simply pick up some fresh, no frills sushi.

I was in lotte market and noticed a sushi stand in the center by the fresh fish. I was stoked. Grabbed a tray of Fried Crab rolls and headed home.. It was soooooooooooo good. Very fresh. They actually make it right there and assemble in trays for shoppers. There is a huge range. I would have gone back Saturday but a mini snowmageddon was happening.

Incredible! Best sushi I’ve ever had. I will never get sushi anywhere else!!! Both the ready made rolls that were in the refrigerator case and the one that I ordered that was made while I waited were fresh and delicious. And the price simply cannot be beat. I was so impressed!!!

Started working in the area and like to occasionally get sushi for lunch. I found this market and in the back they have sushi to go… I got two rolls the Kabuki roll and spicy tuna. Both were fresh and fairly priced! I will definitely go back for lunch again.

These guys are the best. Great sushi at fantastic prices. What more could you ask for? This place is hidden in the back of Lotte Plaza. The one next to Goodwill, Panera Bread, and Wendy’s.

I am so glad I found this gem hidden inside Lotte! There are two Lotte’s on 40 this is the one in the pier one/Panera Bread outlet. I go to Lotte’s to buy all my produce since it’s quality quantity and price are so much better than the rest of the supermarkets around. The sushi stand is off to the right rear of the store. There is no place to sit and eat, only carry out but I normally grab some for my lunch break so its super quick and convenient. You have to pay for the sushi at the stand but they take credit cards. The sushi is very good and very cheap. They have all the fan favorites of tuna, salmon and eel and typical rolls. But I have seen some rolls with more fanfare like spicy rolls, rainbow sushi philly rolls and shrimp tempura rolls. You can also grab a carry out menu that lists more speciality rolls you can wait to have made up or call ahead for. The fish is fresh and the portions are so generous the fish hangs off past the rice bed! I’ll still be going to sit in restaurants for more variety but right now rainbow sushi is an amazing way to get my sushi fix when I’m going into withdrawal and need to watch my budget!

BESTKEPTSECRET in LOTTE! This place is a gem! Huge pieces of fish at pauper’s prices and the sushi is so tasty. I always think to myself, if only I worked closer I would pick up lunch here every day. The sushi is made fresh and beats some sushi restaurants around here.

The nigiri have very generous fresh fish portions at very affordable prices. The rolls I have tried have been OK and very cheap. This weekend I got a party tray for $ 42 which was a huge hit with my guests.

First of all, this is a large sushi stand inside of the new Lotte Plaza on Rt. 40. It’s near Panera, Wendy’s, Goodwill, etc. Go inside the store and go to the back right corner. Let me tell you what, this is some sort of magical sushi fairy tale because the quality to price ratio is mind boggling. For 6 dollars you can get a superb sushi or sashimi lunch, or combine it with a 4 dollar roll and have a feast. Literally a quarter of the price of sushi restaurants. I didn’t even want to post this review because I’m afraid it’ll get bombarded and the prices will jack up or I won’t be able to buy anything past 6 pm. Well, in any case, this is probably the single most underrated/best unknown food establishment I’ve ever come across. Forgot to mention, there’s no place to sit down and eat, but with the money you’re saving just buy a chair or something. Hell, buy a new bigger car and store a chair in there with that kind of money. Also, you pay at the stand. Don’t take the sushi up to the front registers. Lastly, all their sushi seems to involve raw fish and not a lot of variety, maybe 4 – 5 different kinds of fish. I only saw one roll without but it had imitation crab meat. Something to consider.
