Stopped in for a quick bite while out shopping and was pleasantly surprised! Real good Italian food, with real good Italian sauce! Not acidic, not commercial, actually very good home-style«Italian Sunday gravy». My linguine with clam sauce was outright delicious! Fresh garlic and parsley crowning the top of great fresh clams over perfectly cooked al’dente pasta! A super surprise find! Looking forward to returning!

Always consistently great Italian food — a local favorite — pizza is awesome, house salad dressing is great. Try the Egglant Florentine and Chicken Piccata — if they have it in season try the Watermelon Sangria — order a full carafe because you’ll be sorry if you don’t

The food is okay but comes at a great price: your sanity. Take out service is simply awful. Expect to wait an hour if they say 30 minutes, expect items not to be available after you order them and you’d best check to make sure everything is there before you drive all the way home and have to come back to this purgatory of eternal waiting. I was told I’d get a full refund by one person but ended up only getting refunded for the missing entrée(a kid’s meal, so about $ 8 on $ 50 order.) That’s something, but not enough to ever get me to go back. My whole family was tired, cranky, hungry and frustrated. Kid had to have something else to eat as it was bedtime by the time I got back. Not the first experience like this there either.

I was a little skeptical about this spot, but thankfully we ended up here anyway! The French onion soup is phenomenal! The garlic chicken was great! They have an extensive menu all around. They have lots of entrees and desserts as well as beers, cocktails, and wines. I really liked this place. It’s located in what seems to be a small shopping area, but it’s so cute on the inside. If you’re in the area I would definitely go here. Great service too. Our waitress Samantha was awesome and attentive. Very sweet girl. If I’m in the area I will definitely go back again! Good for groups, couples, or families.

Serve was slow didn’t even know the waitresses name and the food was really not worth the amount I paid for it. Probably will not return

If I could give it no stars I would. I ordered a half pepperoni pizza, and when i got there i asked if they could put it in the oven to warm it up. The cashier said it was already cut and could not be done, but not to worry it just came out. Well for a pizza that just cane or pic a got oven the bottom was cold. I got home opened the box and my pizza was orange. I heated it up did my very best to blot the grease off and eat it. How disgusting it was. It bothered my stomach an my boyfriend’s stomach all that night and a good part of the next day. Never again worse $ 15.00 I ever spent.

I’ll keep this simple. They are really freaking good. The Philly Cheese Steak is delicious and one should know how easy it is to mess that up. I have to go back and try other things but I played it safe with the sandwich. Next time, I won’t play safe.

Our family of 4 came here spontaneously. We don’t live locally, but wanted some pizzeria pizza. We were pleased with the accommodations, very pleasant service and outstanding food. We ordered the grilled chicken panini, Italian chicken delight wrap, buffalo wings, Buffalo chicken pizza and chicken parm. Every single dish was excellent! I’ve bookmarked in Unilocal and will look forward to coming back here the next time we’re in town.

Went here tonight after 2 other Italian places in catskill were closed, thought I’d give their food a try. No bread baskets but our entrees did come with a soup or a salad. I really enjoyed the salad and their house balsamic. It also came with a slice of buttered italian bread. They also have pretty much a full bar. I got their khalua mochatini, pretty good, strong. I got their eggplant parm dinner with a side of veggies. Big portion but I wasn’t really a fan. Thinly sliced and breaded, but I found it mushy and kind of lacked in flavor. My boyfriend got Penne Vodka with chicken and I took a taste. Probably the worst I’ve had. I really wish their food was better because I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Great place! Good bang for your buck… have ordered the chicken parm meal here a few times and it always lasts for 2 – 3 meals due to the huge portion size. Great atmosphere and good for families.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is fabulous. I particularly love the Baked Ziti. We have been there many times and have always had wonderful service by the nicest staff around. The place is very clean. I have never had a bad service!

Last time we were at pomodoros we swore we wouldn’t be back food was ehh my husband was really disappointed as he ordered some roastbeef hot melt with gravy but what came out was barely any meat on a half a sub roll. And not even a large half, there were few fries and for $ 9.00 we were completely disappointed, I even emailed them to let them know how disappointed we were, only to not even get a response, well a few months later we decided to give them another shot, why? you ask I have no idea, my prego self was craving eggplant and there are few places to go around here. Well we had to wait over an hour from the time we were seated to the time we got our food. I don’t know what the heck was going on but it was ridiculous, we were obviously not a priority to our waiter or the kitchen. We were ready to just walk out. When we did finally get our food I barely tasted anything because I wolfed it down so fast. Yet again we have vowed to not go back.

I was very impressed! Why? I ordered a couple slices of pizza with mushroom and garlic. They sautéed the mushrooms for me and really LOADED up the slice with both ingredients. I wasn’t in the dining area, but I peeked in and it’s pretty spacious.

I love this restaurant! It’s one of the VERY few good ones around where I grew up and whenever I visit home I still come to pomi’s for amazing sicilian pizza and salad. Their salads are always packed with mozzerella and their house dressing is so popular & addicting that they actually sell it by the jar! great place to eat.

Yes, I agree with the last reviewer, Mandie. I’ve been going to Pomodoros all the while since it opened a couple of years ago. BUT I’ve been dining there for several years beyond that — back when it was«Joey’s», located in the dying, all but deserted, out-dated strip mall, long before the area was overcome by the retail giants Walmart and Lowe’s. In the good olé’ days, the pizza at Joey’s was THEBOMB! Then the new shopping center and revitalized strip mall arrived and Joey’s got a much needed facelift, morphing into what we now know as «Pomodoro’s». For their first year and ½ as the new and improved«Joeys», the food was just as good as the old Joey’s. The service was great, and the newly remodled restaurant was just lovely and very comfortable to dine in. You would walk in through the front door and think to yourself«THIS used to be Joey’s?». What a difference in the décor(Joey’s was a little run-down and very out-dated). BUT, the last 6 – 7 months have been a disappointment, overall. On our last two visits(mid-October and December 12), the service has really been«Eh». We’ve gotten the same waitress twice now(long, straight blonde hair) and she seems rather forgetful, which is not a lucrative attribute for an individual working in the food service industry! The pizza has gone from«Awesome!» to «Pretty good», and their chicken parm subs have been rather small quite unflavorful– not very satisfying at all. «Pommies» also got rid of their Budweiser on tap, supposedly because it «wasn’t selling».(Huh? Bud doesn’t sell?) That sure made my father annoyed all right — he wanted his Bud on tap, dammit!

Little bit of a disclaimer: when Pommies was Joey’s, it was the BEST! That being said, when Pomodoros opened, the food was outstanding, fresh ingredients! I feel the quality has gone down and the prices up as of late. The atmosphere is really nice, great for sitting with friends and catching up, good for larger groups too! They have some great deals, but some stuff is just outrageously over priced. Not all Italian food, you can get burgers and sandwiches, full bar too!

I’ve been to Pomodoro’s several times, but only for pizza. I like the fact that you can buy slices for lunch. I was just there last month because apparently my brother likes it. Me, not so much, at least for the pie, it’s good, OK, nothing to write home about. Next time he suggests it I think I will try to deflect him somewhere else.
