We really like this place… the pizza and daily deals are great!

The pizza here is good and the atmosphere is inviting. Small but not a bad place to go and grab a slice or order take out. The best pizza you can get without leaving Catskill, hands down! While the pizza is generally fantastic, they only get 3 stars for a couple of reasons: pizza quality varies night to night, soft sometimes and crispy others, just differences that might be to some people’s liking and not to others; and they get busy, so expect to wait longer than they tell you when you order… sometimes a lot longer. Most of the time though, the pizza is worth the wait, and you won’t find better unless you want to spend your waiting time driving to another town!

If you are looking for a good quick pIzza this is one of the places to go in the Village. The pizza is fresh and has a great taste, the brocolli cheese bites are spot on. The ONLY thing that I didn’t like was that they don’t take cards.

I work nearby and thought it might be a good idea to try this place out. They just reopened after having a fire within the past two years. Unfortunately, this trip was absolutely disappointing. I ordered two slices of pizza to go and the staff adds cold toppings to the pizza as they place it in the oven to heat up. While not a major problem, I do have a problem with the staff doing this with bare hands and then handling money. The hand hygiene alone makes me not want to visit this establishment again. After making a complaint about the hand-washing, I did end up with two fresh slices(that I did not witness being mishandled — but I cannot assume that they weren’t) to take home. The pizza was mediocre at best and might have allowed me to return for an occasional rushed lunch if there were not other negative factors identified in this review.

So we call ahead to get out pizza knowing it will be busy. We are told 20 minutes. We get there in 30 and they tell us to sit. 15 minutes go by and still no pizza. finally we get our pizza 50 minutes after we call now the pizza is cold the crust is dried out. Clearly this pizza has been sitting there the whole time on top of the oven. We tell tem the pizza is not hot so the guy comes and looks at it and tells us he just took it out the oven. I’ve worked in pizza for 10 years I know this shit ain’t fresh. He asks us what we want him to do we ask for a new pizza 25 more Minutes go by and we finally get it. The girl bringing it out had an attitude about it. Now the pizza is only ok nothing special. I don’t love here so thank fully I don’t have to go back to this place ever again. But for shitty customer service and Medicare pizza I wouldn’t come back here again anyway

My fiancé absolutely adores this place. Swears that it’s the best pizza place ever. In my opinion, it’s the best pizza place… in Catskill. I’m not even sure how many options there are for pizza in the area, so that might not be saying a whole lot. I find the pizza here to be very greasy and(can’t believe I am saying this) there’s almost too much cheese. The sauce tastes pretty good, but the crust is often too thin and flimsy on the bottom and just okay around the edges. You do, however, get a very large slice. All in all, definitely not bad but definitely not great. One thing I cannot believe about this joint is that they do not take credit cards! Come on, it’s the 21st century and you are a pizza place! I was really upset when I was picking up a pizza one day and told that I could not use my card, but that I could go across the street to an ATM(and probably pay an absurd fee there) to be able to use cash. Luckily I had cash on me, but I had planned to use it for something else. Had I not had cash on me, I would have left Village without my pizza because their prices are steep to begin with — I wasn’t going to tack on another $ 2+ for an ATM fee to pay for the pizza. I really think Village should consider getting set up to accept credit cards.

Tried this place while visiting upstate. Let me start out by saying I’m a bit of a pizza snob, and while NYC thinks they have the patent on «real» pizza, they do not. It’s hard to find«real» pizza in the states, trust me, having lived in Italy for years I’m always looking for that«real» pizza. This place came close. Decent pizza, actually made by real Italian family that runs it(not guidos, I mean real deal, old country Italians). Great service, friendly people… had a great chat with the owner. Dough was pretty good. Requested it made thin(like they do in Italy) and well done, and they nailed it. Sauce, decent. Was your typical, basic sauce. Cheese and toppings were good. Maybe a tad too much cheese, but good nonetheless. Overall, this snob was satisfied. Solid 7 out of 10 on my pizza scale.

It’s a pizza joint, it does not pretend to be anything more. I can think of some places in the city that might be better, maybe not, it your typical good NY style pizza. If you want a slice this place, this will hit the spot. I have also had there sandwiches, better than subway! I go here all the time and I will be back

Lived in Catskill for years. I once gave this place a chance every 6 months or so. Got burned every time. Service was rude, slow & horrible every time.(Approx. 10 times.) Pizza is … not! Bad taste, skimpy sauce, cheese, topping. Crikey, even the crust was paper thin & soggy. It was like paying $ 2.75 for a slice of nothing. Every other dish I’ve had from there disappointed. I complained once & was told. «You paid, live with it.» Well, I don’t have too. There IS good pizza to be had in this town but not here. 0 stars if it were possible.

Not to sound ignorant, but the last place I expected to find good pizza was in a small town in the Catskills. Yet that is exactly what we found at Village Pizza when we just happened on to this place by chance. Pizza was fresh and very good. The service was friendly and quick. The prices were very reasonable. Definitely a good find and a pleasant surprise.

I know it is awfully far from the city, but I am pretty sure this is well beyond where the good pizza influence ends. The pizza is terrible. Plain and simple the worst pizza I have ever had. Ordered pizza and a coke, tons of fruit flies flew out when he turned on the tap, putting some in my drink. The counter person did not seem to mind.
