Cazadero Performing Arts Family Camp

We have been going to Caz Family Camp for four years now and it is the BEST WEEK of THE YEAR! Every year! Great!

Last summer my 11 year old daughter and I attended Cazadero Performing Arts Family Camp (CPAFC) for the first time. There are typically two one week sessions, both held in August. What a wonderful experience! The setting is amazing; rustic cabins nestled in the redwoods, friendly and welcoming staff, great food, etc. What makes this camp unique is the fact that my daughter and I each had the choice of participating in up to four classes per day taught by amazing artists, musicians, dancers, and other performers, largely from the Bay Area. Classes included Capoeira, Photograpy, Brazilian Dance, Gourd Making, Environmental Art, East Coast Swing, Gospel Choir, Clowning, Yoga, and the list goes on and on. Each year the offerings are somewhat different, and everyone is welcome regardless of level or ability. While the camp is relatively structured, there is also ample opportunity for «down time». There are a variety of families who attend CPAFC, often returning year after year. We’ve signed up again this year and can’t wait! I highly recommend CPAFC for any family who is looking for a camp experience with activities that both children and adults will love.
