We just tried Dickey’s for the first time today and it was amazing! We had the pulled pork, ribs, chopped brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw and waffle fries. Everything was so delicious! Not only was their food great, but they had very friendly service, unlimited BBQ sauce, nice silverware and free ice cream. It was an overall great experience.

We are staying here in Cedar City overnight on our way from Huntington Beach to Deer Valley to skiWe checked in to Unilocal for suggestions and settled on Dickey’s. What a wonderful dinning experience. We had read the reviews and had a pretty good idea that it would be good, but it was better than good. Our Server/behind the counter girl Marina was as pleasant and helpful as she could be. And she was running the whole place very efficiently by herselfWe had the 2 – 4 person combo with two meats and three sides and rolls. It was a generous serving that fed 4Adults(2 big men in that number) with leftovers. It has been there since 1941 and obviously they have preserved for a good reason. Kids eat free on Sunday’s which speaks highly of the family atmosphere. And as an added bonus there is free ice cream you can help yourself to. If you can find any room after all that great barbecue

No. Just no. The people here are so rude it’s ridiculous. I can’t believe these people are as condescending as they are. The food is ok, a little better than McDonald’s BBQ sauce. Meh.

4 stars for the food, 6 stars for the service. My hubby and I are from LA and were touristing there yesterday. We have lived in Austin so we could not help comparing the food to Texas quality. In order of tastiest: pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, ribs. Two young people working the place yesterday and you could not ask for friendlier staff, going out of their way to make it a pleasant experience for us.

I had the Southern pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the beef brisket sandwich and we both loved them. The jalapeño beans were great — just spicy enough — not too spicy. The fried okra was good — just needed some additional seasoning at the table and my husband liked the onion strings. They have free ice cream. The staff was really great.

From Arizona and traveling through… Stopped for lunch. Potatoes were not quite ready so the owner fixed a special creation for me. Delicious! The special of the day, was ribs, 2 sides a roll and a drink… Filled my DH and teenage boys… Ribs were tasty and fall off the bone good… Topped off lunch with their complimentary soft serve ice cream… Great break from traveling… Clean restaurant and bathrooms.

We loved how handy this restaurant was to our hotel. After a long day of driving it was very nice to just be able to walk across the parking lot and have a really good meal. The day we were there was July 24, which, if you don’t know, is a very busy state holiday in Utah. While the restaurant was busy with lots of take-out the servers took their time and explained the menu to us newbies. We appreciated that. Our food was delicious. At the utensil and drink counter they have barbecue sauces to choose from to match your taste. They also have free soft serve ice cream cones to finish up your meal.

Food was good and service quick! Brisket was especially tasty! There is outside seating to bring your dog. Unilocal stated they serve beer and wine, but the beer selection was not what was posted on menu. They were out of most beer and they did not have any wine which was a bit disappointing. I settled for iced tea and that was freshly brewed.

Good food, but definitely not cheap. A plate of 6 ribs, 2 small sides and 2 small drinks for $ 21. That is ridiculous. You get more food at BBQ places in LA for less money.

Meats are slow cooked on site daily. Bread was also super fresh. BBQ sauce was wonderful. Fresh brewed ice tea and super friendly staff. The meal couldn’t have been better. This is my new go to spot between SLC and LA.

My bf and I went to Dickey’s for lunch and were disappointed. We didn’t realize that Dickey’s is a chain, but it is and it shows — the sides are made at corporate so the staff doesn’t seem to know the ingredients(I’m gluten-free per my doctor’s orders). The meats are wrapped in plastic and kept warm, they’re unwrapped and sliced while you wait. The turkey was flaked and formed as opposed to turkey breast. My sausage was luke warm. The cole slaw was the same kind I remember from eating at KFC. Ugh. This is not«home cookin» it’s more of the type of BBQ you’d expect out of a drive through fast food joint. The sweet tea was«authentic» per my southern bf(really, really sweet). The service was friendly enough. The fries were hot and yummy. I debated with my bf about trying the free ice cream, but since I dislike non-dairy, non-milk frozen desserts masquerading as ice cream, I didn’t even try it since I had been so disappointed with the rest of the meal. Why eat at Dickey’s when you can go to Sonny Boys where the barbequer is smoking out in front, the meat is hot and the Southern BBQ is much more authentic?

BBQ was great — stick to real stuff rather than turkey ! My ribs and pulled pork were awesome. Not quite sure where the others were coming from plenty on the plate.
