I’ve always had a good meal here. The prices are reasonable and the Hog Sauce is really tasty. They make a good burger and tasty sandwiches. I’ve had the steak a few times and it’s not bad either. The only issue is when they close the outer doors and everyone pulls out their cigarettes. Unpleasant atmosphere. But on open doors days it’s a great bar.

We just moved to Del Valle and we didn’t want to drive far for cocktails and dinner. We searched nearby places and found this gem! It’s beautiful, and clean. And everyone was friendly. Fireball, our server was the bomb! The full bar was a plus, I’m not a big beer and wine drinker. The food was good too! We will be regulars here by the summer. So happy we don’t have to drive back into Austin to have some fun. They also have karaōke on Wednesdays… we will check it out soon.

Okay I’m not gonna lie here. I was hungover when I came here earlier today around noon. I had the hangover burger with fried potato salad and I don’t think I could have chosen anything better to eat in all of the world. Get it cooked medium rare and you can’t go wrong. And if you are stumped on the fried potato salad just try it. It’s warm not cold FYI but it’s delicious.

the menu was supposedly«new» however they were just old menus with items crossed out in dry erase marker. I tried to order a few different things and each time was told that they no longer had those items. finally decided on a meal and waited at least an hour, if not longer, to get my food. Upon receiving my meal I was informed that they were out of fries and they brought me a side salad I didn’t want. one of us got a bacon cheeseburger with no bacon and cold sweet potato fries that weren’t on the menu. 3 people in my party had to wait an additional 10 minutes for their meals. My burger was severely overcooked and so salty I couldn’t finish it. There were also large bugs crawling throughout the place. the waitresses were sympathetic and I feel that our experience wasn’t their fault, however this restaurant as a whole is a disaster and I would NEVER go here again,

Definitely worth the stop! Loved the open air feel. Our waitress seemed to be doing everything in the restaurant but service was still prompt and she was super friendly. She even offered a sample of a drink when I wasn’t sure it was what I was looking for. Had a chicken sandwich with avocado, ranch, and bacon. Delicious! And the fries fresh and crispy.

Let me preface this review with the statement that we have been getting food here(take out) for months now. We do like this place and we want to see it succeed. However, I was disappointed in our last experience. I posted a picture of the skimpy fried pickle order. This was one of my favorite fried pickle spots. My husband usually gets the hog burger and brings me the fried pickles. Normally we get twice as many pickles. For the price($ 5.50) it was as if I paid $ 0.50/pickle! They were delicious, but come on. I know pickles are inexpensive. Now let’s talk about the hog burger we got. It was so pink that my husband took 1 bite and handed it to me. It was delicious, but it was medium rare at best. As I ate it I wondered if I was going to pay for it later. The other thing I need to mention is the January special they were running. I took a picture of the ad as well. It was a BOGO on Thursdays through the month of January. On the ad there’s no mention of it being«dine-in» or «burgers only». However, when I called to place our order that’s what I was told. In addition to being a Unilocaler, I’m also a couponer and I do read the fine print. Sometimes thought it’s not worth arguing about. I’m glad I didn’t argue, because I would’ve had to eat TWO almost rare burgers!

Great atmosphere, clean but please what about cold beer? Seems to me that should be a must! Food is average, pricey for the area

Been driving past this place for awhile now. Figured why not swing in and try«the best burger on 71.» Also grab a beer. Went with a friend just to see what’s happening. The nice thing is the open space. I can see if there’s someone on the stage the place being a lot of fun but that’s not why I was there yesterday. Ordered up two beers, that order was correct. Then ordered a burger with swiss and bacon. Friend said he’d have the same thing. When the food arrived only one order was placed so friend was out of luck on that one. Not a good sign. As for the claim of best burger? Well if that’s the best I have to look forward to here in Texas I’m doomed to over cooked and over salted patties. It was so damn salty it was almost impossible to eat. It was so over cooked it was like a dry puck being chewed. I’m gonna chalk it off as a one time failure. Give it one more shot since there’s so little to do in Bastrop county. See if my second review is better.

The brisket is amazeballs, I believe brisket is the benchmark for BBQ, and Cindy’s does not disappoint! Tender, excellent quality meat, that’s not over-seasoned. This is my new Texas BBQ joint!

Pretty disappointing experience. We rode to Cindie’s specifically to try it out. A pretty slow Sunday. But enough customers that the poor waitress, try as hard as she did, couldn’t keep up. Poor planning by management. When our food came, the fries were cold and soggy. Part if the order was wrong and had to be restarted. Then these two guys started playing on the stage. Their guitars were so loud you couldn’t hear the singer. Poor couple next to us had to get headphones for their young child so he could stop holding his fingers in his ears.

Initially discouraged by thought of eating at a biker bar, but was pleasantly surprised. Impressed with the taste and quality of the veggie burger and couldn’t stop eating the fries! My boyfriend enjoyed the chopped barbecue sandwich and gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Will definitely be going again!

About 6 hours after eating here, I developed bloody diarrhea and vomiting. After an emergency room visit and IV, I can say I will never eat here again. Avoid this place like the plague.

Lemme start this by saying I live in downtown Houston. That being said this place was a loooong way from here! My buddy and I were driving to Texas Hills Vineyard when we passed it, and just had to stop. It was a beautiful day, which was great since this massive place is very close to open air. Everything is new and Becca was fantastic as our waitress. The burger I had was the Hog… And well it was just OK. My friend’s ribeye looked weak to me, very thin. Rob the owner came over and chatted us up a bit. My friend played for Tulane as a DE, and Rob’s son is on the giant end of huge, so we swapped football stories, If we had more time, I would’ve loved to see the evening crowd and tried other things on the menu. If I ever pass it again, I’ll stop by.

Seems like a pretty cool place as a night spot, but i went cause i was driving to Houston and got hungry, so i will have to review it solely on the food. This is a really mediocre burger. Overcooked and not juicy at all. Person i was traveling with thought the same of theirs. Fries were pretty good, but not enough to make me come back. I don’t know what else is nearby, but i would chance it somewhere else next time.

The establishment is named CINDY’S GONEHOGWILD and is on Hwy 71 between Del Valle and Cedar Creek. there are two Unilocal pages for the same business. My charge receipt says CGHW is in Del Valle and the waitress confirmed that the address is in Del Valle, but the place seems closer to Cedar Creek to me. I ate here for the 1st time today. I enjoyed my cheeseburger. I didn’t specify how to cook the meat. I like my burgers well done and this fit my tastes. The sweet potato fries were crispy outside and tender inside. I liked them very much. The service was attentive. I ordered at the bar as I wasn’t sure about the service method. My food was brought to me promptly. Waitress checked on me to make sure I was satisfied with my meal and whether I needed anything else. I don’t travel east on HWY71 often, but do plan to return here to eat. The place is clean, open and airy. I appreciated the nice cooling breeze. The bar looked like it had a good selection and other patrons had stopped for a brew. I hadn’t so I don’t know all that they offer.

Look for Bastrop(and surrounding towns) this is one of the only games in town. The new Cindy’s is big, open and airy. Although they still allow smoking inside, which is a bummer. If you are lucky enough to get Becca as a bartender, then you are in good shape. Unlike most of the servers in Bastrop County, she pays attention, remembers your name and what your drink is, and works hard. The others are ok, but she is the best. Food — Good solid cheeseburger and something called Hog Wings. Other than knowing they are pork, I have no idea what is going on there, except that they taste good! I’ll be honest, though. I really think this place should be selling kick ass BBQ, like ribs and brisket. When you walk in you’ll see what I mean. It would be a perfect fit for the picnic table décor and accompaniment to the live music and full bar instead of just regular bar food. But hey, that’s like just my opinion man.

I stopped on Hwy 71 and decided that hey, another place says they have the best burger, let’s go see. Having the best burger within a stretch of highway in TX isn’t necessarily the highest compliment but hey, gotta advertise something. Being outside of Austin is always an odd experience. I realize that the rest of TX is just a little different. The burger was good, nothing mind blowing and the fries were battered. The tomatos on my burger were diced into small pieces and I find this odd. i usually pull the tomato off and eat it by itself and had to pick small pieces off. Overall, the burger is fine. Fries the same. Best burger on 71? Who knows… I’d stop in again in a pinch.

I visited Cindy’s with a group to hear a band. I use to frequent Cindy’s before it burned down and before I moved to Austin. The new building is definitely an improvement. I wanted to try the burger, as I have heard it is good and priced very cheap! The burger was a bit over cooked, but I didn’t specify how I wanted it, so maybe if you did it would come out better. The bun was fantastic and the fries were amazing! They were good enough to not even need ketchup, which I think is hard to do. The band sound was interesting. The singers were hard to understand because it was just so loud, so I initially thought it was a problem with the system. They had a sound guy, so that didn’t really make sense, but then someone said it was the metal roof and way the room was laid out. So, really, it turned out to be a not so great venue for live music. The waitress was nice and attentive, although we did have a bit of trouble when my fiancé tried to order from the bar after I started the tab with the waitress. It seems it would be entered into the same system, but the bartender couldn’t find my name in the computer. Eventually I had to get up and go over to the bar to point out the waitress I gave my card to so that he could get his drink. I liked the atmosphere and would be interested in seeing a band here again to see if the sound had the same issues. Also, if they have space, they should definitely consider expanding the parking lot. I don’t know if it was just an especially busy night, but when we got there at 8:00 we took one of two remaining spots.

I went out the the Warrior Dash this past weekend, and after getting my ass kicked around by a three mile obstacle course this place really hit the spot. They claim to have«The Best Burger on HMY71»… That could very well be true as I don’t think I have eaten another burger along this stretch of road. However, this certainly isn’t the best burger I have ever had, nor is it better than many I have had within Austin’s city limits. I had the spicy burger with Jalapenos, Bacon, and some sort of supposedly spicy sauce. The sauce was not spicy and the burger was well done. But It was still pretty damn tasty. I’d definitely order it again. This place is pretty new as the old restaurant apparently burned down. It’s got a big garage-like feel and when the weather permits they open the place up nice and wide. The allow dogs too, which is pretty rad. The picnic tables are way oversized, and even an average height man will have troubles keeping his feet on the floor. Other things to note… there is a dance floor, a bar, some pool tables, a fancy juke-box, and a few other things around to entertain you. I say if you are driving down 71 and you need to stop for a beer and some food, you’d be hard pressed to find a better stopping point. Of course this was my first ever stop along 71… so perhaps I have just scratched the surface. Pros: Open air style place is comfortable, pretty good food, nice wait staff, dogs allowed, and the place was very clean Cons: I don’t know that they cook burgers to temp as I wasn’t asked how I wanted mine done, the spicy sauce was not very spicy

We went early, so the scene was pretty tame, but we had a great time. Friendly crowd and servers. Cindy’s had a nice selection of beer on tap, and all the fried pub grub you could want. I was surprised to find one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had at a biker bar outside of Austin, but I call ‘em like I see ‘em! The french fries were also memorable — I think they were battered and deep fried. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

The first time I visited this fine biker establishment I got a call from a biker friend who called and said«Baby put on one of your vintage Harley tank tops and a pare of cutoff shorts I’m taking you to Cindy’s Gone Hog Wild». Awesome, I new it would be a good time because Big John knows how to have fun! I was so excited I put on my Frye boots before I got dressed and after arriving I joked that I was under dressed and should have just worn my boots and a bikini. I could go on and on about the toned exposed female flesh and bikes and old dudes but they also serve some amazing food and other forms of entertainment. I digress, come here for the food they got a sign out front that says«Best Burgers on 71» and Big John swears by them burgers. I can only vouch for the BBQ Beef sandwich(fantastic) and BLT(six slices of super crispy bacon) I feed my dog most of the bacon and add a few onion rings to my sandwich — super fantastic! They get a full 5 stars for many reasons other than the food and eye candy: They have 2 full bars, 4 pool tables(with free pool all day Mondays), 3 dart boards, huge outdoor deck with live music on weekends and dogs are allowed. I would give them 5 stars alone for being the only public place I know of that I can shoot some pool with my 4 legged kid tagging alone. This is the only place in the area that I know of that is dog friendly so this is our go to for a cold drink and a bite to eat after a hike in Bastrop Park.
