I ran the Zooma Half Marathon on 4⁄12 and could not have picked a better race for my first half. The even was extremely well-organized, the race route was pretty scenic, and the«after-party» was really fun. I think that the course was well thought-out, with most of the hills at the beginning half of the race and a relatively flat last few miles though the resort golf course. I also like how they actually enforced that only runner could go into the area with post-race food; all too many times, I try to grab a bagel after a race and have to fight through crowds of people clearly had not run and were mooching the free food! Laying out on the big hill in front of the live music to stretch and just relax after the race was fantastic. I would 100% recommend this race to anyone looking to turn a race into a weekend getaway/special experience. It was a bit pricey, but I think that running a half marathon is a big deal and anyone who’s going to achieve this accomplishment is definitely worth it :)
