18th St. Vintage and Metro Records

I drove 45 minutes to get to the store only to find out it is closed. Place is closed during the posted store hours, which are very limited to begin with. From what I could see through the window the inventory is limited, and if the place isn’t already out of business it will be soon!

This is a great little shop in the cedar valley area that sells a great collection of records. If records are what you’re looking for in the cedar valley, this would be the place to head to!

I’ve been to this record store around 6 times. The guy who runs the record part is not friendly, and if you’re under 20 he treats you like you’re 3. About half of my times there have been fine, just no help with anything, and the other half he has been rude. Today, my most recent, and my last visit there, was the worst experience I’ve had at any record store. When I wanted to take out a record and look if there were any scratches, he treated me like I was 3 and was going to smudge the record. When I went to buy the three records that I had picked out, I asked for a lower price, as any person does when they shop for records, but he shot the price down right away. The original price was $ 26, so I asked for $ 20. He came back at $ 24, and I thought it wasn’t that great of a deal, but was going to pay it anyway. As I was handing the money over he decided that $ 25 would be a better price. If you’re going to sell someone something for $ 24 you don’t change it to $ 25. So my total, with tax, ended up being $ 26.75, so I didn’t even end up with any sort of deal. To make matters worse he lied to me after I payed. I had seen one of the records I purchased at the store a few months prior to this most recent visit, but he thought that it was better to tell me that it had only been there two days. So, if you want to get swindled, lied to, and treated like a baby, then this is the stop for you. Otherwise, you should stay away like I am going to do from now on.

Antique store with bikes (?) and a massive record collection. I believe it used to be a record store and then merged into the antique store as well. Great selection of vinyl, cd, tapes, vhs, vcrs, cd players, record players… its an amazing place!!! Great prices and great staff!
