These apartments are terrible. There pet deposit is ridiculous, and there pools are terrible. There all closed, its summer time like come on. Theres 2 pools and both are closed. And they open at 2:00 close at 9:00. Its just dumb. I would advise you to look at those apartments by Sams Club for way cheaper and better quality.

These are worse apartments I have ever lived in. Office staff and management is horrible. It looks more like the hood. I’ve heard more complaints about this complex since I’ve been there. Drive through before you think of moving to theses apartments RUN¡!!! GHETTO&HOOD

Read Lynette R’s review. I totally agree with her and I’ve only been here one year. I wish you could post without giving any stars because that is what I would give them.

I am giving a one-star rating and that is too generous. I’ve been a resident of the Legacy of Cedar Hill Apartment Homes for four years. The property changed ownership and management teams in June 2011. The property owners are in Florida which explains why the property is so neglected most of the time. I would like to say that the change in ownership and management was an improvement but that is not the case. The property has three entrance gates that are programmed to be opened only by remote control or by the resident. However, 90% of the time, one or more gates are always broken, thus the property isn’t «secure.» Wood fencing around the exterior perimeter of the apartment property is broken, missing entirely or falling down. A few months ago management distributed a copy of the security section of the lease stating with an accompanying hand-written letter stating each resident was individually responsible for their own safety. Basically, the property management isn’t liable for the residents safety. I have shared my own safety concerns with the onsite property management team. No action or follow-up is performed on the part of the management team. I’ve learned to give them my complaints and maintenance needs in writing, otherwise nothing is done. And it is the resident’s responsibility to follow-up on maintenance requests because many times the request is closed without the maintenance being performed. It is almost the end of June and the one and only pool isn’t open. No communication has been sent as to what is going on with the pool. Also, residents must pay for covered parking. The fee is currently $ 25 per reserved space. Property management will occasionally send out notices about enforcing the towing of vehicles parked in a reserved space without a parking sticker. This too is laughable because property management is not consistent about the enforcement of towing. I recently inquired about the towing enforcement of vehicles parked illegally. Property management has ignored my inquires and complaints about current residents parking in covered reserved spots because the offenders are not parking in my own reserved spaces. Crime and suspicious activity are prevalent is this apartment community. The Cedar Hill Police are here constantly responding to cars being vandalized and windows are broken. I see suspicious vehicles with engines running and the passengers passing something back and forth, parked near my building during the day. I’ve also mentioned this to the property management but no action is taken. Perhaps they are trained to simply show apartments, loosely run background checks(I question this one), counter-sign leases, take rent payments and deliver packages that are left by the post office, UPS, etc. I will move when my lease is up at the end of November. I discourage anyone who is considering a move to the apartment community. You will be sorry that you did.
