We love eating at Schlotsky’s, but are frequently frustrated by the Cedar Hill restaurant being out of stock on our favorite selections. Tonight, they were out of unsweet tea, diet drinks – ALL diet drinks– and plain potato chips. The service was fast and friendly, the remodeled décor is nice. But whomever is ordering the food needs to order more! We’re tired of being told to pick something else because you are sold out.

Been here a few times since my last review. The place keeps getting dirtier. How is that possible? Each visit is the same. There are usually 10 patrons or so in the restaurant. The drive thru is almost always packed. I count more than 8 employees. I hardly ever see a manager. I’ve never seen anyone clean the tables. This last visit was particularly dirty. We were forced to sit at a bar that was lightly dusted with crumbs and cup stains. I wiped the area down a few times but needed a wet cloth to get the dried food off the surface. I ordered ½ a pizza and a cup of soup. My fiancé ordered a soup and a sandwich. It took over 20 minutes for our food to come out. When it did I received half a pizza and half a sandwich. They asked my fiancé what he ordered. He told them and I gave them my sandwich and pizza back. I showed the server the receipt with my fiancé’s order. They brought out my pizza and soup. They brought out ½ the sandwich they previously tried to give me. My fiancé told them again what he ordered. I shpwed the receipt again. They left all confused again. The third time another man who I think is the manager shows up and asks what my fiancé ordered. I asked them why they don’t know what he ordered. Again I showed them the receipt and this time the manager takes it with him. I tell him to give it back but he ignored me and walked away! I gave away the proof! Finally they deliver his order. It was correct. By then I was miserable. It didn’t help that the TV was on the news showing the most recent shootings in Colorado. If I cone back here its because I’m forced to.

I have been visiting Schlotzsky’s for several years, however never this location in Cedar Hill. I had a real craving for a Texas Schlotzsky’s sandwich which is not listed on the menu. This is a jalapeño turkey sandwich which I would always order back home. I ended going through the drive thru and placed my order. They immediately knew what kind of sandwich I was ordering without question and after just a few minutes I was at the main window picking up my order. I was surprised how fast the drive thru was considering I visited during a busy time in the day when I could see that the inside dinning area was packed. The girl at the window handed me my order and was polite and prompt. I took a look inside my bag that she gave me to verify the order was correct, and it was. Good Job!

This place is beyond horrible, the staff is LAZY! My Husband had a craving for sweets so he decided getting a Cinnabon would kill the craving, we went through the drive through the girl taking the order was beyond rude and he had to repeat the order 3 times and asked her to repeat it back because she kept giving him a total of $ 3 and change when he order 2 cinnabuns and a lrg. drink. We waited 5 min., before she brought them to the window, then when he asked her if she could warm them she took another 5 – 6 min. when she gave them to us they were still cold the icing wasn’t melting and the cinnamon roll was rock hard, needless to say I went inside thinking maybe that’ll help, boy was I wrong! I spoke to the guy at the counter about the sweets being cold and hard and his response was«I was the one that heated them and they were heated for twice the time» so now I asked for 2 other cinnamon rolls and he gave me attitude and proceeded to reheat the 2 he had«already» heated previously… instead of giving me 2 others, and my thoughts were this is why you tube videos of people throwing food at fast food employees exist! The owner of this location should be ashamed of his staff and the chain should be ashamed as well. Save your money, the headache and frustration…

I like the idea of a fast-food sandwich place with a drive-thru, but the execution was underwhelming. This was my first time at Schlotzky’s and I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon… –There was a long line at the drive-thru even though it was not lunch or dinner time. –The employee who took my order sounded like she wanted to die(who can blame her, really). –They were out of salt & vinegar chips. Would have exited the drive thru at this point had there not been 5 cars behind me. –The soda was disgusting. I mean undrinkable. Really, how hard is it to mix the right amount of syrup and hose water? –My sandwich was subpar at best — I was expecting something healthy but basically what I got was a hamburger with turkey instead of beef. –The price of the food was way out of proportion to the quality. Just go to the Whataburger in the same complex, you’ll thank me later.

Thanks Ska-lot-chos for the free Bday sandwich. I’m signed up for there emails n such. And every year you get a coupon for a free small sandwich. They give good coupons all the time as we’ll. I would recommend signing up if you haven’t yet.

The place was a mess and the employees obviously did not want to be there. I ordered a sandwich and my wife ordered a soup. 15 minutes after we ordered they came to tell us they were out of soup. Why it took them 15 minutes, I don’t know, but we didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes(or more since I still didn’t have my sandwich.) Good came and it was not good. If this was my first visit to a Schlotzky’s it would have been my last.
