Lux Skin Spa

Deborah is an amazing aesthetician-​I cannot stop thanking my lucky stars that she decided sometime back to move from California to Texas!
Personally, I have been very fortunate to have won the genetic slow-​aging skin lottery and that means I have always heard plenty in regards to how youthful I appear, or people have simply assumed that my 30+ behind was instead more like early-​mid 20’s. Of course, you don’t correct them, (lol) but one must ask themselves «how long will I be this lucky & how many years left do I have to appear more youthful than I should?» I tried a few different aestheticians & I either saw no difference or blotchiness. I knew no better, so I was about to give up on these costly and seemly pointless procedures usually rushed, but I gave one more shot when I came across Lux Skin Spa & learned of this aesthetician whom, by all accounts, had but many others to shame & had become so many women & males sole skincare specialist, including massage, etc. I quickly signed up and have never looked back!
As mentioned so many times previous, her work is truly artisty. There is only one other beauty professional (a la Chase Williams, a hair stylist/​colorist extraordinaire) of whom I would place with Deborah in this same rare class of beauty pros.
Anyway, because upon glancing each day in the mirror I only saw slight aging & it wasn’t near as advanced as one would assume being mid-30’s. HOWEVER, after seeing her the first time, I couldn’t get over how much more youthful and vibrant I appeared directly after treatment. I was told so by strangers 7 different times within the first hour after leaving Lux Skin Spa. Best of all, it tickles me when people mistake my 14 & 17-​year-​old boys as my brothers.
Deborah has taught me so much about daily skincare and I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH: invest in the Rhonda Allison products, (my favorites are the skin brightening facial wash & the facial scrub) as well as the Viktoria De’Ann Peptides-​these products are not a «want»…they are a «need!» I get depressed when I run out of any (actually if I am missing any of them). :)
One of the most impressing characteristics of this beautiful women who works fairy magic direct from her hands to your face is that it is abundantly clear that she loves her work. Every facial I’ve ever had with Deborah has been such a great experience because I can feel the pride & perfectionism she possess coming though in her work. Additionally, we have the funniest & best conversations during and yet it all stays chill & relaxed.
Best of all is that Deborah has become a true friend. Since, as my husband always jokes, I operate in mind more like a «dude» because I lack a tolerance for cattiness, drama, competition over material objects & even living-​breathing beings, & other unnecessary issues that seem to arise between some women friends I have never been able to relate to that part of being a girl. For those reasons, it’s been a shock and a great surprise to find that Deborah is an exception.
Although these personal items aren’t directly related to the wonderful work Deborah performs at Lux, I think it adds up in its own way to an element of further comfort & relaxation during each & every visit with @ Lux Skin Spa. Without a spoken word, you will understand that she has your best interest at heart, no judgement-​just love in her craft.

Deborah KNOWS her stuff. Seriously. My skin would not be the same without her. She is my saving grace for my skin (I’m in my 20s) and I’m so glad she moved back to Texas. I have been going to her since I was in high school and I won’t go to anyone else. She is very well informed and explains things to you in a way you understand. She doesn’t push product on you and gives you options and her opinions of what she thinks will help. Love, love, love her and her business.

I’ve been back for another facial, my daughter took me for my birthday. The most enjoyable, relaxing hour or so I have ever spent doing anything. Deborah definitely knows all there is to know about skin, and she really helps to teach you what to do when you go home. My husband said my skin looked as beautiful as the day we met 28 yrs ago. Now that’s a great aesthetician!!!

The owner of this spa has recently returned to Texas and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I have had many different aestheticians and she will give you the best facial you have ever experienced! She is experienced, personable and professional. Nice relaxing atmosphere and a convenient location. The only downside is you will be sad when the appointment is over!
