Exceptionally unhelpful! I had ordered a print service job and they made an error on the job, making it look rather awful. I talked to one print center person, he says, «Not a problem, we’ll fix it.» The next day, I get an email from the printer center supervisor refusing to redo the job(which was time sensitive) without«additional verification.» I talk to the manager on duty, he refuses to budge, basically trying to find excuses not to redo the job. I then get a nasty email from Carol, the store manager, further refusing to make the situation right and almost outright accusing me of lying about their screw-up. Fortunately, there was another store nearby that agreed to redo the job, no questions asked. That just served to demonstrate how deliberately frustrating three levels of management at this store were being to avoid having to be helpful. Absolutely godawful service. Not the the worst in the Austin area(there’s at least 1 that’s even worse than here), but up there. Avoid at all costs!

This place saved my bacon! Had a presentation I needed color prints for, and realized at 8:30pm the color printer wasn’t working at home! I emailed them the file, and they had it printed and bound beautifully by the time I got there at 8:55pm! Love these folks!

Honestly, our visit to this Office Depot today went really well. All of the employees were really friendly and helpful. A very stark contrast to a few days ago when my Mom and I went into the Office Max on Whitestone over by the Target — where no one would make eye contact or say hi. Initially, two employees came up to us and asked us if we needed help, but left us to our shopping after we declined help which was great. When we did need help with an office chair and chair mat though, three different employees were incredibly helpful. The store was clean, the displays were nice and we found everything we needed easily. I would gladly come back to this Office Depot any time — thanks for everything!

Needed to buy ink cartridge and of course they were out of the color and brand I needed but their inventory said they had 2 left of the exact item but couldn’t find them? And I walked out empty handed with the excuse of «sorry I guess they are gone. We can’t find them.»

Typical Office Depot. The employees are always helpful. The only issue is that usually there are so few customers, that if you are just browsing, you will be asked 4 or 5 times if you want help.

I love the early hours they are open. Makes it easy for me and another thing that makes it easy that they are receptive to helping me find what I am trying to find. Saves me so much time. I like to go in, buy what I want and go. It is a man thing. I hope they stay around for a long time.

So at 7PM I get an email telling me to take 2 copies of my resume with me to a meeting at 8AM the next morning and at 7:15 another company sent an email directing me to fax something to them no later than midnight. Geesh guys thanks for the heads-up. I go to print my resume out on my handy dandy laser printer to see the toner is finally on it’s last leg so in somewhat of a frantic pace I decide to upload the document to Office Depot. Oooh no they close at 9! I upload, pay, and race out of the house hoping they’ll accommodate my request 1 hour before closing. The Internet experience is a whole other review. On my drive there I was planning for the worst but also thinking, it’s only 4 copies surely they can help. I walk in the door and was overcome with what felt like a mass of very happy energized associates. It could have been related to the fact that they were done for the day in less than an hour but after spending 15 minutes with them I am going to guess they were just generally happy. They had issues with the printers and worked on them diligently to resolve it. In the end. I was able to fax and print what needed to be done and I can express enough how nice, customer service driven, and focused they were to help me(they understood my sense of humor too, which is rare). Side note: I stopped in over the holidays and bought a Logitech iphone/ipod speaker system. Same customer service experience and the associate helping me with the selection process was very knowledgeable and honest about the various systems available. So far they are 2 for 2 in greatness.

The U on my keyboard gave out. Yeah, so the U doesn’t get used often but I wanted my U back. So I did a quick trip to pick one up. This store always seems deserted when I drive by. It was empty when I arrived. The staff was helpful on directions to get to what I wanted, but not so much on technology. So I snagged a likely keyboard and a ream of paper. Their prices aren’t cheap but I really need the keyboard fast. I think next time I will stick to JUST office supplies from here.
