My husband and I came in here a few nights ago after dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We spent about an hour talking to Trevor ok well mainly my husband. And he got him up to speed on his favorite comic and pulled out a few to get him started and get back in the loop! I know with out a doubt we will be back soon to set up a subscription for him and maybe pick up a game or two

Great place.
Got back into Magic in the spring of 2013. Tried this shop.
Really friendly staff and customers.
Granted on Magic tournament nights (Tuesdays and Fridays) the Magic players take over the back of the store, but it is the nicest bunch of Magic players I have ever met.
Best group of people in any Austin game store and I have played at a lot of the current Austin game stores. Staff does not tolerate obnoxious players. In fact the staff has banned certain players due to their behavior. Very kid friendly. If you are interested in magic the player community here will be happy to teach and help you. Adrian, James, and Gil are particularly helpful.
The regular crowd is very mature, very friendly. Not nears as sophomoric as many of the other venues around town.
The staff are excellent! Robert and Trevor especially so.
The store has become my third place.

Maybe it’s because I don’t play Magic or maybe it’s because I need bright and shiny things to hold my attention but Tenth Planet kinda bored me. I was in the store 10 minutes tops which is really all it took to look over their entire comic selection. Browsing is one of the best parts of comic book shopping and the option just isn’t here. There were lots of people playing Magic, probably a tournament based on the set-up so if that’s your thing, this is probably your place.

Two owners, one nice the other not. Many bad experiences with uncaring half of the staff. Cheated in a card trade on my first visit. Many of the local players are snooty and rude. Events and prices are more expensive than the competition so I moved my business to a friendlier store and I’m much happier for the change.
