US Memory Care of Cedar Park

U S Memorycare is fabulous beyond words. After moving my mother 4 times in 18 months in trying to find the right memorycare community, I can say unequivocally that US Memorycare has made all the difference in my mother’s (and our family’s) life — she is thriving here and the staff and innovative approach are the reason.
This hidden gem just opened in Cedar Park and features an innovative, state-​of-​the-​art «Main Street USA» secured indoor promenade (a Dutch concept) where residents are free to stroll to the plush movie theatre (featuring comfy oversized chairs/​ottomans) for a classic movie; a full-​service salon where residents can catch up on gossip while getting coiffed or a manicure; a music room with a Victrola-​like phonograph and baby grand; a craft corner for karaōke and art; a party room that resembles an Inn and «Paula’s Sweet Shoppe» — a 1950s white/​black/​chrome soda fountain hangout where floats, smoothies and lively discussions abound. The high ceilings, numerous Windows and blue «sky» make you feel you’re outdoors yet residents are completely secure within the building.
When not on «Main Street», 3 different neighborhoods with home-​like dining rooms (the chefs do cooking demos weekly), light, bright TV living rooms and enclosed courtyards with benches and flowers keep residents feeling like they are at a home away from home.
The semi-​private 2bedroom apartments sold me bc US Memorycare is the ONLY community I have found ;and I’ve looked extensively) where semi-​private means you get your own spacious bedroom, (complete with large picture windows and a generous closet), a cozy shared «living room“and inviting bathroom with Separate sinks/​vanity areas for residents.
But the best part of U S Memorycare is the compassionate, experienced and highly skilled team of life assistants (caregivers), chefs, nurses on-​site, activities director and administrative/​maintenance staff that clearly love their job and their vibrant, passionate leader.
I am taking the time to write this review because I am so grateful to US Memorycare (conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and Cinemark) for really hitting it «out of the park» in setting such a high bar for memorycare — and best of all, it’s reasonably priced!
friends who see photos comment that My mother is remarkably different and more like her old self since moving here — I believe it is because U S Memorycare’s approach is unique in that they bring «life» to residents (through cruise-​like activities and multi-​generational parties on «Main Street»). The staff and owners show they intentionally focus on the whole person and helping residents celebrate life daily — life here is proof that there IS life after a dementia/Alzheimer’s diagnosis and US Memorycare is dedicated to proving that daily.
