Great local hang out featuring great bar food, beer on tap and live music. The inside of the bar is a welcome surprise from the exterior. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick to deliver drinks during live gigs, and the summer fun continues outside on Friday’s with live bands performing on stage in the parking lot. They have great drink specials including $ 4 martini’s(not during Friday summer live music nights) during happy hour. If you are looking to cut loose, unwind and have an unpretentious night of fun this is your spot. Ladies, leave your heels at home.

Always a spot I like to grab a beer and a quick bite. Being CR you have the standard nauseating rock music coming from the juke that you’ve heard since the 90’s, but in CR if you hear CCR consider yourself lucky. Food is okay, and recently tried the French Dip Pizza — pretty tasty and unique! Started with a Wake Up Iowa Coffee Stout that was also good. Service was pretty good, but undermined by bringing our check when we were done eating, but still drinking. Seems to be the norm in the city with no clue on what service means, but whatever. Always awkward asking for another round with your check on the table, but if I didn’t ask for my tab, file that under«not my problem» and deal with the sigh most servers give as a response. I will definitely be back — probably sooner if that tool with his shirtless photo is forced to take his picture down!

Visiting from WI. I wanted wings– I am a beast on a Saturday morning after a Friday night of drinking… so we stopped in. Bloody Mary Bar called my name and I was not mad at that! Ordered 6 Jumbo wings, boyfriend had 12. They were tiny… and they were really gross. I’m easy to please, especially with food because this girl loves to eat! The meat was dark, overcooked, and scarce. I had the Cajun honey and I liked the sauce– the boyfriend had«smoking hot», pfffttt. It’s for weasels. Honestly? Wouldn’t give it a second visit as long as there are bars in the area still open. The bartender said it was his first day, okay I understand that. But when you ask«how is everything?» And I calmly explain my disappointment with reasons why I ate 2 out of the baby 6 wings… WHY act as though it doesn’t matter? Oh well. My man paid the bill(which was put altogether when we clearly were separate from another friend we were with, I don’t think threesomes hit a bar together)…$ 73. Our friend got the hangover burger– I should’ve followed suit. It looked good and he said it was satisfying. I guess here’s the final judgment– beer is cold, burger would be agreeable, wings I wouldn’t feed to my CAT. And he’s chunky. HE wouldn’t even touch them. Yikes guys.

Nice venue and cheap drinks. But no website and the phone went to a fax machine on a friday night to see how late the place will be open. How hard is it to pay $ 10 a year for a website or answer your phone? If you want someone to come out to the ghetto to this bar, at least make it clear what your hours are, etc.

Pretty good crowd despite being in a fairly rough ‘hood. We had dinner here tonight with friends. The waitresses are always very friendly and attentive and the food is above average. They have some Cajun items on the menu for some good diversity. I had the Atomic Burger with jalapenos, blue cheese and smoked bacon. I highly recommend it. It would’ve been even better is they hadn’t cooked it well done — I ordered medium. Splurge the extra $.75 and get the homemade onion rings, they’re way better than the skinny fries. Be sure to check out the ’08 flood line — about 10′ up the wall above the big screen TV.

Not my favor bar but they have good drinks and good servers, the building used to be a self storage building. It does look nice in there and earns cool points for being a old storage unit building. Not a big fan of there menu, a lot of fried food like most bars.

Restored old building nicely(& again from the flood). Nice sized U-bar. I went there once to eat for lunch and their menu is cajun/creole based. So I had to try the jambalaya and gator bites. Not bad. I will have to try other items to review for food though. Decent bloody marys. Now, I mainly go there for some drinks and live entertainment once and while. Which I believe plays 2 – 4 nights a week.
