My husband got glasses here 2 years ago. He has never broken a pair of glasses in the 43 years we have been married. However while cleaning his glasses last week, they broke in two at the bridge. He went to Klauer to see if they still could get a frame to match the lenses. They called the company that makes the frame and they did have the frame, but in a different color. But, they said since it has been 2 years, he would have to pay the full $ 220 cost of the new frame. According to them«it is what it is.» No offer to give a discount on the frame or a new set of glasses, nothing! Glasses are an expensive investment usually costing $ 350 – 500 per pair for progressive lenses. One expects them to last more than 2 years in normal daily use unless there is a major prescription change. He expected more personal customer care by going there rather than L.C., but obviously, that is not the case and we will not be back!
