Great tenderloins and friendly staff. It’s known as the oldest bar in Cedar Rapids. Jeff, the owner, is fun and entertaining.

This spot is one of my favorite regular stops in town. One of the best tenderloins around.

Little Bohemia has all the charm of old Czech Town and the food is all homemade. It’s never pre-made, so yes there is a wait because everything is made fresh. If you want it fast, go to McDonald’s. Little Bo has the best tenderloin sandwiches in Iowa! They are made from scratch! The baked beans are delightful, thick and smoky sweet. Jeff is a lovable character and so are some of the regulars there. It’s not cookie cutter bar, this place is original from the get go. Don’t go if you’re in a rush for a business lunch. Go when you have time to savor some good home cooking(lots of the recipes are Jeff’s mom’s and grandma’s) and maybe have a beer or two.

The oldest bar in Cedar Rapids, Little Bo’s has a great story. Jeff the owner is fun as long as you don’t expect for him to cater to you. It’s just a good place to relax and feel right at home, so if you are in a hurry go somewhere else because no one has time for that.

Excellent food if you are young enough to wait an hour and 15 minutes for a sandwich. If there are more than 8 people in there when you go in, turn around and go to Parlor City up the street. If 8 or fewer customers you’ll probably love the food and get it in reasonable time

Advertised hours until 11 p.m. apparently depend on the whim of the staff. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the kitchen was closed. When we asked for a recommendation for some place that served burgers, the server was unhelpful. Then we discovered that the place right across the street was known for its burgers.

I really like this little bar. It’s a nice, quiet place to take a date or have a conversation. It has a very cozy feel… there is a wood burner right in the middle of the place and comfy little chairs around tables that look like something in my grandparents’ house. The people who work and frequent the place are all friendly and welcoming. I know they serve lunch, but I’m unsure about when else the kitchen is open.
