Saucy Focaccia

The Bacon Mac n Cheese burger is unreal… Nice building, relaxed environment, and sometimes it’s nice for an awkward person to be able to get their own soda and napkins.
Will definitely be coming in often. Drooling about that burger still.

I had heard they made a mean cheeseburger, and I was not disappointed.
So, they season the hamburger with garlic pepper, and warm the focaccia bun on the grill. True to the name, it is a cheese sauce rather than a slice of cheese.
My only, minor complaint is that the bread to meat ratio is a little too high. Might be solved with the double burger. Next time I aim to try the pepper jack sauce.

Was a winner at NewBO Market ever since they set up shop there. Previously they ran a food truck, which I never had the pleasure of patronizing.
I truly enjoy a good Chicken Salad, and their Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad is one of the best that I’ve had in recent memory. It’s always made fresh, and prepared to order. It comes with lettuce and tomato on their nice focaccia bun, which are always, always, always fresh and tasty.
I normally get a side of fries, which are sliced by the folks at Saucy, no frozen bagged cheap stuff here.
Their freshly carved — not cold cuts –Turkey Sandwiches are a favorite of my wife.
The prices are very reasonable, and the family that serves the food is very friendly and thorough. There are tables throughout the market, and in the warmer weather you can dine al fresco out front.

About time Cedar Rapids had a burger place to recommend! Located in newbo market, Saucy focaccia has plenty of impressive and creative burgers and sandwiches to choose from. I myself found it hard to pass on a Mac and cheese bacon burger… even if it was for breakfast lol.
The hand cut fries are a great side to a great burger and the banana ketchup was surprisingly good. I also need to mention the blueberry bbq sauce because its extraordinary!
It’s also a great value. The price is right for the amount of food you get and they never leave you waiting long. At least in my experience.
When your in the market and hunger calls head to saucy focaccia. You will be glad you did. I always leave satisfied and impressed.

Hands down the best cheese burger in town. Sloppy bite after bite will bring you the bliss of meat and cheese on a soft and chewy bun. Ranks higher than Bata Burger, Burger Feen, or Flying Weenie. Add bacon if you don’t care about your heart.
Located in New Bo Market, I recommend you take your burger over to the beer vendor and have yourself a cold one.
Still hungry (I doubt you will be)? Grab a cupcake or an ice cream at the nearby shops.

This place is delicious. The pride that the «Saucy» team puts in their food, shines through. I’m thrilled of the news of the new location coming soon.

The burgers are great. My husband is a «sauce guy» and loves that they use cheese sauce rather than slices. I love the pepper jack option. The bread is of course delicious. I mean, can you go wrong with focaccia?
I’ve heard the turkey burger is good, so I’ll have to try that next time.

It’s all in the buns… Got to try the Bacon, Mac&Cheese Burger with a side a fries (doubt you can finish it, good to share). Bun: awesome /​Burger: good /​Bacon: crispy /​Mac: cheesy gooey delicious with some burnt cheese on griddle to make even better. Employees could be more enthusiastic (from the times I’ve been there).

Unexpectedly delicious! That may sound odd, but we truly were just expecting a good sandwich and that’s about it. But the sandwiches we received were so much more. I wasn’t sure how a saucy sandwich would taste but now I am frequently disappointed when my sandwiches at other places aren’t covered with saucy deliciousness. So I got the philly cheese with pepper jack cheese sauce. I am now dreaming about this sandwich. And since I live in Dallas, I keep wondering if I could bribe them to either ship them here or open one next door to my building. It was seriously that good. My husband got a pulled pork and said it was great too. We also tried their fries and Mac and cheese with cheddar sauce. It was all excellent. Well done saucy temptress!

Amazing discovery! Came to buy cupcakes from another business and ended up eating here as well! Bacon Mac & Cheesy Burger is quite delicious! As are the Pork BBQ Fries! Check it out if you’re in the NewBo district in Cedar Rapids, IA – in the NewBo Market building.
