If you want to eat some fried cardboard come here. Chicken tastes the same as the fish and is majorly proccessed. Its nothing but grease. I was able to eat 2 or so hush puppies and that was it. So not only is the food nasty but its ridiculously expensive and made me sick to me stomach! Id go to a vending machine before id ever consider eating here ever again!

If you are in the mood for deep fried seafood or chicken, then this the place for you. The onion rings are to die for, and the hush puppies are my personal favorite. The drive-thru is difficult to navigate, but I almost always get a decent meal. I’d personally avoid after 8pm, as it goes downhill after that.

My name is Ed and I’m an LJS junkie. Ok, that’s step one, admitting I have a problem. I always liked the battered fish here in my crazy younger years. I abruptly quit the habit after O.D.‘ing on an all-u-can-eat special while traveling to a tourney with my old high school basketball team. It took years before I could even smell the place without getting a little sick. Then a few years ago I started to go about once or twice a year — until lately. That’s when I discovered the fish tacos. It has a cut-up batter fried fillet, lettuce and a spicy mayo sauce all wrapped in a flour tortilla. It’s really pretty good and for just a buck, it’s the best value on the menu. I also found that I like the new breaded whitefish and my old fav, the fried clams. One upgrade they really need to make is their sides. The fries, slaw and hush puppies(fried bread balls) all pretty much suck. Like the last poster said, the drive-thru is pretty convoluted. They really shouldn’t even have one. There’s nothing particularly fast about frying seafood so there’s always a long wait. If you chose to use it, shut off your engine, turn on your radio and be patient. The staff is always nice and friendly. That worries me too. If I keep up these clandestine visits I’m going to have to wear a disguise so that they don’t start recognizing me as a regular!

The drive in is a bit strange here. You order at the bottom of a parking lot and then drive this loop up to the window and around. It wasn’t the fastest service, but the window person was nice and efficient when I got there. The food was standard LJS fare(deep fried batter dipped«seafood» and chicken with fries) and was hot and seemed freshly cooked. I didn’t get any of the crispy stuff that normally accompanies the meals and is shown on the photo though. I was disappointed.
