If you sign up for their EMAIL club on the pepperjax website you get A FREE Entrée on your birthday I got the philly cheese steak and it was a great bday! Location is a little hard to find if you have not been their before but besides that great place to grub

Great for company lunches and good focus on their specialty. The cheese steak wraps are pretty good. They can get greasy, but if the craving for cheese steak is there, this is the place in cedar rapids. Pretty large sandwiches.

Went here last night for the first time and our experience here was fantastic! The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was kept very clean. It’s not close to home for us, but we will be back again!

Above average Cheesesteak. I liked the bread, light and crispy unlike nothing I’ve seen elsewhere. Meat and veg’s flavorful. Had a basic steak onion pepper mushroom– enjoyed !!

This place isn’t bad. Good and quick as long as the grill kid isn’t grilled himself. 2^nd time here, will be back. Stay high grill kid, you’re doing great.

I usually don’t take the time to review places, but I can’t keep this to myself. Had a FABULOUS experience at Pepperjax in Cedar Rapids, IA today. My family and I had never been before and we were very impressed with the customer service, atmosphere and quality of the food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming (especially manager Chad) and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Pepperjax in Cedar Rapids, IA. Thanks!

This is a great place to eat, their sandwiches are awesome and they have different things available if you don’t just want a sandwich.

Should be called the freakin fantastic Famous Philly! I love Philly cheese steak sandwiches. I mean, it’s on my bucket list to go to Philly for a Philly. But until that day occurs, I am so satisfied to have Pepperjax Grille. There meat, toppings (choice of peppers, mushrooms, onions, and jalapeños), bread, and sauce combine to make a very filling, very delicious, and very reasonably priced sandwich. It was easy to see that the employee atmosphere was centered around efficiency while being able to maintain a positive experience. About the only thing the wasn’t great were the fries. They were meh. But with how filling the sandwich was, I will go with out the fries. And yes, yes there will be a next time. And many times after that!

Not bad for a franchise fast casual joint. After the first two visits we learned to order ahead so we could actually eat our lunch on lunch break — if you’re in any kind of hurry make double sure they put fries down as soon as you order or you’ll be standing with a hot sandwich and no fries for a few minutes.
Otherwise the premise is solid. Plenty of choices from a basic start — Philly sandwich style meats and hoagie bun flash grilled in front of you. Price is a little high but about average for this kind of place. Clean new building still has the shine to it.
Three stars — will return if convenient but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Hands down the best Cheese steak ever! The burritos are ok, there are better ones to be had in CR.

Nice addition to the area. Some diversity to other stuff in the area. Not quite as good as Capriottis, but you get more food for the price. Expect an $ 11 bill for a sandwich, fries and drink — too much in my opinion. Place gets busy around noon but the line moves quickly. Nice selection of sauces. Clean and friendly.

Awesome food for our family of four and service was great, very clean and we liked the way the manager helped and guided a new employee rather than barking down his throat, we’ll be back!

Thought Pepperjak’s was very reasonably priced and their food was very good. Cant wait to try some chicken nachos!

Think made-​to-​order burrito place and add Philly sandwiches. Pepperjax is a well done «quick casual» concept. (Read that fancy fast food). Their marketing is great. College kids seem to be a primary target as they have a lot of college town locations and are open ’til 3:00 AM on weekends, I presume to catch the midnight church crowd. On my first visit I had the Philly steak sandwich, fireball style, which means jalapeño juice. It was served on generous size hoagie roll that tasted fresh. It could’ve used a few more peppers and onions. The wife noticed the seasoning which she thought was a little heavy. The sign said you can request light or no seasoning. The fries were tasty and the staff stayed in good humor despite the huge crowd they were feeding during their opening week. I’ll probably have a burrito next time to see how they stack up to Panchero’s Hot Harry’s and the rest.
