As Phở Vy is one block away from my new office, I had to eat lunch here as it was a cold day and perfect for a hot bowl of noodle soup. Today’s visit fit my perfect dining qualifications for a hot bowl of comfort; cold, lunch time and lunch time. At 12:30p on a Monday, the restaurant was packed. I waited a few minutes and was seated at a small table near the open kitchen. I watched the only two servers run frantically from table to table taking orders. I patiently waited 15 minutes before my order was taken after flagging down one of the two servers. After my order I watched, what looked to be the manager, filling up glass after glass of ice. She did not help with any orders or service to any customer. There also was an older gentleman putting water on tables, possibly clearing a table or two. I kept thinking to myself, if these two employees helped out with the tables, service would have been so much better for everyone. My rare steak with extra rare steak phở came out piping hot. I was given one napkin and after two minutes, I needed another and had to get up to find one at the bar. After another five minutes, I needed a diet Coke refill which never came. My waiter never once came back to my table for anything. I completely understood why, the restaurant was under staffed, it was not his fault. He did eventually bring me a diet Coke to-go, but by then I was not really wanting it. My phở noodle soup was ok. I did not like the size of onions. They were cut into huge slices, way too much onion for my liking. If these were cut in half, I think the soup would have been much more appealing. It was good, but they waiting and service ruined my first experience. Overall, I understood the circumstances. I will definitely come back soon with a better plan knowing the wait time.

Apparently. this used to be an Irish Bar. and now it is a Phở/Boba/Vietnamese place. Work trips to Denver don’t seem to be the right time or place to foodie-it-up, but the team discovered my love for boba and recommended this place! We had a working dinner and ended up picking up the food to go. The people here are exceptionally nice! Really loved how quickly they assisted us and how quickly the food came out. That being said, 9:00 on a Monday isn’t exactly prime dinner time. We all got the combination rice platter. It was really amazing considering how cheap it was. It had a little bit of everything… pork, chicken, egg roll, fried egg…:) It even came with fish sauce and little containers of siracha. That being said, nothing too spectacular about the food here. the chicken was actually really painfully dry. The food was mediocre at best and the boba selection is minimal, but at least they were nice!

So the food was a 4 star, but the service was a 1 or 2. I settled on a 3, but honestly still wavered on if this is a 2 star place or not. Absolutely horrible service. We came in about 1pm on a week day so they were still pretty busy from the lunch rush. We were seated quickly and they brought out water and we basically sat there for almost 20 minutes before we were acknowledged again. One of the wait staff came by at one point with an empty dirty dish tray and dumped the water on the floor as he walked by. Only he missed the floor and hit my leg and the BABY at the next table. They finally came and took our orders — medium/regular bowl of meatball phở and it seemed like another 15 before the phở actually came to our table. The serving size seemed small for a medium as compared to other Phở places I’ve been recently. The price on the menu for the regular was $ 7.95, which seemed high for the serving size. But in the end apparently they are having an anniversary sale so the Phở ended up being $ 5 each. It was a good amount for $ 5. We also had to ask for a bottle of sriracha as there was none on our table and I had to wave down a waiter to get a refill on our water. The actual food was great. The broth was excellent and flavored great. The noodles were good and the meatballs were a great flavor, too. All in all, even though the Phở was good I’m not sure we’ll ever come back here. There are better Phở places within spitting distance so it’s not worth the headache.

They are currently running an anniversary special for $ 5 Phở(regular size), so either because of that or just the fact that it was in the Park Meadows area around lunch(1ish), this place was out of control packed! People waiting, people crammed in, people, people, people. I am glad we were not in a huge hurry, because we waited several minutes to be seated, several more to get water and menus and upwards of 15−20m to order! It was long enough we thought about leaving. Needless to say, service sucked. Really, really, really, really sucked. I can’t even tell you how long it took to actually get our food. Plus, we had to ask for sriracha, they didn’t give us cilantro and the only reason we got more water was my husband practically grabbed the waiter to get it! Now, the Phở itself(regular meatball Phở) was darn good. Broth was well balanced and tasty. Noodles and meat were plentiful. It was right on as far as flavor. And the special price made it an awesome lunch for the price, but who can afford to take over an hour for lunch during the week — especially for Phở(which is generally a fast meal)! Food was OK, but service killed this one, not to mention it was cramped quarters and extremely loud! Plus, the bowl we got for the regular size seemed small to me(compared to other Phở mediums) and the regular price seemed a touch higher than other Phở places I have gone too.

Good size, great taste, spotty service. It’s an ok spot, but there are tons of great phở joints around the area, and I don’t see myself making any special effort to go to Phở Vy.

Food is decent — for what it is… Service leaves ALOT to be desired. I’ve rarely ever left a subpar tip, and NEVER written a note on my receipt that the service is horrible. However, during lunch hour — they should be better prepared. You don’t know if you seat yourself, OR you wait… there were a few empty tables and a few seats open at the bar, and opted for the bar — thinking it’d be faster service. It took almost 20 minutes for us to place our order(after flagging someone down who had to get someone else to come take our order). Then 20 minutes went by, still no food(order was simple — 2 bowls… nothing else)…food finally comes, no utensils — REALLY? waited a few more minutes. I asked for the check thinking that it was going to take forever for them to handle it(15 minutes later). I’d be more patient IF they were slammed. That’s understandable, but for a staff of 4 running the front, and the bar was empty, there were a handful of empty tables, it’s unacceptable. Especially during lunch hour where it’s mostly office buildings nearby and people are literally there for their lunch HOUR. Not the place to go if you’re looking for efficiency.

This place is great. I work near by and have been here at least 10 times in the past 3 months. I usually start with the Crab Wontons and move on to a bowl of Phở. The regular size is more than enough. I have gotten 4a, 5a, and 9a. All of them are wonderful. There’s usually the same two servers on, which doesn’t seem like much, but they get the job done, and quickly! I’ll be back. and then back again!

food was good, though its hard not to be with Phở. I would give it a 4.5 star on taste but went for lunch and had to ask a waiter to take our order after sitting for over 10 minutes. Food took even longer to get out, so I definitely won’t be back for lunch but I may consider going for dinner if I really wanted phở and this area was my only choice. If you’re really looking for 5 star Vietnamese, take the time to travel to federal.

Was going to go next door but there was a huge line so came in here for lunch. Wasn’t sure if we should just sit or if we were supposed to wait to be seated(no sign). We waited and eventually someone came and sat us down. I ordered the Chicken and Steak(I added steak) Phở. It was a GIANT bowl of Phở! I had to ask for Cilantro(which is odd). They didn’t really bring out a whole lot of things to put into your Phở so don’t be surprised about that. It was rather tasty though and I wouldn’t mind coming back again for lunch sometime(especially if it’s cold). Service wasn’t that great. We had to track our waiter down a few times, but it wasn’t the end of the world.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend last week. The set up of the restaurant is strange. When you walk through the front door, there’s a half-wall with dining tables on the other side of it, but no clear«host/hostess» stand. We weren’t sure whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait, so we wandered over near the bar area. Someone did acknowledge us then and seat us. Their menu has quite a bit of variety. I had anticipated getting Phở, but then decided to try the curry chicken with rice. The flavors weren’t quite what I had anticipated — definitely different from other curry dishes I’ve had — but it was delicious! And, the portion was enough to have leftovers. My friend got Phở and the bowl was enormous. I swear she had enough left over for at least two more meals. And, with tip, I think we both got out for under $ 10/person, so the price is definitely right. Service could have been more attentive. Thankfully my water glass stayed full, but it took a while to ask for to-go boxes and the check. I would certainly try this place again though. The food was pretty darn tasty!

I’ve got to tell you, this is the yummiest Phở I have every had. It’s become my personal addiction. My fav is 8a which is sliced brisket and flank steak. It’s all I have from lunch through dinner at least 4 times a week. It’s even better than chicken soup when you’ve got the flu! AMAZING!

I don’t know why I do it… I regret it each and every time… stray away from Phở 95, that is. My lunch at Phở Vy was no different… I was sad that I didn’t take the extra 8 minutes to go to a place I know I love. But, at least now I know! I ordered the egg rolls to start, which were just so-so. A little pricey at $ 4 for 2 tiny rolls. For my phở, I went with the rare steak/meatball combo. The meatballs were fairly good, but the steak was pretty chewy. I wasn’t a fan of the broth, which was a little heavy on the star anise, and didn’t have any depth to the flavor profile. very one-note. The plate of accoutrements was small, holding only 1 stem of basil leaves, 2 lime wedges, 4 jalapeño slices, and about a half a cup of bean sprouts… no sawgrass at all. Pathetic! I had to ask for more limes and more jalapenos(twice!). They also didn’t have any of the chili-garlic sauce on the table. I had to ask the server for some, and then again for some more, and a third time until it was enough! The service was definitely lacking, as I had to wait and wait every time I needed to ask the server for something(which was a lot, as you can see from the previous paragraph). Even though this place is closer to my work, and much more convenient for a quick lunch, I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon.

For Phở, this place seems to have the perfect blend of taste, service and price. Best Phở broth I’ve tried. Even their non-Phở selections are great. They have a «Grilled Meat» plate which is simple in its presentation(meat, rice and veggies), but absolutely delicious. Service is friendly and attentive, as well. This place is located in the«Golf Galaxie» parking lot/strip mall, at the Northeast corner of Yosemite and County Line. Might take you a minute to find it, but it’s worth the effort.

Super excited when this place opened up. I have a friend who lives right behind it and being from Castle Rock, I’m just too lazy to make it to Federal sometimes. Upon first glance we were pretty impressed with how spacious and clean it all was(upgrade) but walking in, we noticed we couldn’t smell the phở cooking(bad sign). I feel like broth is what really makes the phở and this one was… Off. Not necessarily a bad off, just, it tasted less like phở and more like spiced broth. The server(who was super nice, btw) admitted that they omitted a lot of things from the traditional Viet menu(like beef soup with coagulated blood and lotus, wow) and you can’t really blame them. The clientele here is different and would probably appreciate this milder version better. Expect to pay an extra dollar here than you would other phở places, with portions running smaller. By the way on a Saturday evening, they were not empty. The people who were there clearly liked the place. As one reviewer said, phở experts will know. I’ve read and heard a few times now that the chicken phở is delicious and gingery and I will definitely be back to try that but if you are looking for traditional, hearty, long-simmered and lovely, deep-flavored broth you won’t find it here.

I’ve certainly had better Vietnamese food, but this was quite tasty. The broth for the phở is a little oily and not a flavorful as many I have tried. The meats seem fresh and they give you plenty of basil. The egg rolls were decent, not great, but I’ve been spoiled by Kim Ba on that one. All in all a nice little place, but nowhere I’d go out of my way to eat at.

As far as Phở restaurants go, this one breaks several of the rules that generally indicate a good bowl. 1) It’s too nice. In the old Illegal Pete’s space, it’s too spacious, clean and modern looking to serve a good bowl. 2) They have Micro Brews on Tap. Now I love me a good micro brew, but what self respecting Phở shop serve’s beer on tap… let alone good beer. 3) If you order a soda it’s a fountain drink, in an actual glass bigger than what you would normally get when ordering orange juice breakfast… with free refills. I mean come on, who are these people who think they can server a good bowl… but when it came, it’s actually really good. I’ve been a couple times now and there is something unique about the broth… I can’t tell what it is, maybe a little extra ginger… maybe it’s sweeter than normal, but either way it’s tasty and a nice break from the more well traveled Phở joints. I did find that if I’m hungry I need the Large bowl, which comes with so much meat that I usually can’t finish it. But it’s one of those things medium isn’t enough, large is too much. If you are in the neighborhood and need a bowl, this is as good a place as any south of 225.

Dynamite springs rolls that I crave often. Great Phở with a very tasty broth. Service has been great on my 2 visits. It also has a pretty good ambience compared to other good Phở places I’ve tried. Big thumbs up!

I am not a phở person, but my husband is, so we tried this place. The broth was very gingery and not very good. T he chicken and beef grilled meat platter was great. It tastes just like the same meal at Kim Ba in Aurora. Since my husband didn’t like the phở he asked to change his meal to the same as mine and they said they were still going to charge us for 50% of the entrée he didn’t like and charged us for 100% for the 2nd meal. Very strange managment practices.

Wow!!! So we happened on this place by shear chance of being in the complex it opened in. We have another place we love for Phở but its not quite as close and has some drawbacks. This place is fantastic — spacious, clean and the staff is attentive and better than other Phở restaurants I’ve been to. The egg rolls are stupid good. I do like egg rolls but I loved these. My wife, who doesn’t even like egg rolls ate them up! On to the Phở. The chicken phở came with a ginger sauce. This blew my mind. The prices are good and the food is great. One of my Phở pet peeve’s is you often get a can of soda. Not here — actual fountain drinks WITH refills! Five and a half(though my four month old daughters vote doesn’t count much) said we would all love to come back. Highly recommend this place!
