In town on business, this place was recommended. What an amazing place! The sushi was fresh and incredible. The staff was courteous, attentive, and helpful. The interior was unexpected… wow, comfortable and elegant. I would expect to find this type of place downtown in a big city… the locals are very lucky indeed.

This place is good for hibachi but would not come here for sushi. Expensive and not worth it!!! The ambiance is good. Shame that there isn’t a better sushi spot in center valley.

I love coming here for the sushi lunch specials, usually get it to go so I can enjoy it at home. Get the maki set B, always a great price for 3 rolls. It comes with miso soup and a fresh garden salad. the house dressing is amazing.

Cocktails are good. If you sit at the bar you get good service. Otherwise, service is slow(especially if you get stuck on the second floor). Strange that I had ask twice for soy sauce to go along with my sushi.

I brought my family there for a hibachi dinner on a crowded Saturday night. Even though we had reservations we were initially squeezed into a table that clearly was not made for the number of people seated there. We complained and was told by the hostess In real condescending tone that we would have to wait for some time for another table. Fortunately we were placed a table a few minutes later. We ordered drinks. My drink order was forgotten. My appetizer was also forgotten. So the rest of my group was served their appetizers however my appetizer came out when out as the cook started his routine. The staff also neglected to give our table their salads and soup. The exhaust fan at our table was not pulling the smoke from the cooking upward and ended up smoking the one side of the table out. though the wait staff was polite, they we’re a disaster. The appetizers were excellent. The over overall experience was terrible. We will not be going back.

The best hibachi in the Lehigh Valley! It is pricier than the others, but for the setting, cleanliness(which most of the others around lack), and food quality it is worth it. Great atmosphere and even a bonus side to the restaurant where you can get great food without the hibachi experience.

I was impressed. We ordered hot and cold appetizers and then the chef’s choice combo. The prices are equivalent to the good sushi places in the valley and the alcohol selection is superior. The presentation and freshness of the food was great.

I stopped by Kome for a drink and some sushi after seeing a movie. Kome has very nice décor, a trendy looking bar area with couches and a very attentive staff. I have kind of a mixed feeling about this place. The quality of the ingredients was good and the sushi was very tasty. The plates I received had rolls cut to various sizes, they looked like the rolls that I made at a sushi making class. The had roll I had was tasty, but it looked misshapen and the tuna was unevenly distributed in the roll. For the prices they charge here I expected to see sushi that was much more aesthetically pleasing and uniformly cut. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Again, not an unsatisfactory meal, but it didn’t look professionally put together.

This place is great. The sushi was delicious! The ambience is absolutely beautiful and staff is great. I did like the champagne infused drinks as well :)

Best authentic Japanese restaurant in the area. Sushi is to die for! If you are into REAL sushi this is where you want to go! The staff was very attentive and asked very often how everything was and if we needed anything. Dishes were never left on the table. Overall great restaurant and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Went for hibachi, we were a large group and they were not accommodating to the tables requests. The food was very bland. Nothing was salted, and if it had a sauce, it seems they were on a budget because it didn’t seem like it did. The egg in our fried rice was burnt, the chef was quite messy and the«show» was pretty bad since he completely screwed up and the fork he was using luckily flew against my plate and not into me and it was very rushed. Even when the waiter asked how our meal was, we told him it was bland, that it lacked flavor and sauce, he just said Im sorry and have a good night… Also, everything is an upcharge and not customizable at all. Bottom line, try a different place if youre looking for food that tastes like something and if you want good entertainment. Our large group decided, $ 300 later, that it was a waste of money and a lousy time. We will not be going again.

Upscale Japanese restaurant that offers several different dining experiences. You can sit down in the actual dining room, you can sit at one of the hibachi tables, you can grab a drink at the Sake Lounge, or if you have a big party you can book a reservation for private dining. I’ve been here several times so I got to experience dinner in the actual dining room as well as at the hibachi area. The dining area is more private and has somewhat of an intimate setting while the hibachi area offers more of a casual and entertaining setting. Service is always top notch. The entire staff always does their best to make your dining experience memorable and enjoyable. The food is always served hot and fresh and most of the dishes show exquisite culinary art. Reservations are available so that’s something I would definitely take advantage of so you don’t have to wait. Highly recommended!

Maybe we just«lucked out» but a colleague of mine and I had a superb sushi dinner here on a busy Saturday night. This place is date-worthy and family-friendly all in one. We sat on the dining room side — as the hibachi tables were packed with kids and families — nice to see. Also the bar area was«hopping» and at one point there was a line out the door! Wow. Our excellent, excellent server, Brian indulged our every wish from delicious personal pots of «Republic of Tea’ teas for $ 3 to the crispy Asian pear & beet(and goat cheese and pine nuts) salad with yuzu dressing,(So good.) to the Salmon Sampler($ 20 — and good but over suaced — would not get it again). The best bites of the night? The«no soy» nigiri combo. Excellence in every bite. Very pleased and if I lived around here i would be coming back for sure. Owned by the same folks who own Ooka(in Doylestown and Willow Grive). Yum!

Love Kome and their food. Always top notch on the food, however service is so slow. This past visit, our waitress did not visit our table often and drink refills and questions were answered by another member of staff. Our edamame appetizer never came out either, which was a disappointment. Like I said, food is great, but service is lacking.

I haven’t done the hibachi yet, only regular dining. Both times were incredible. It is VERY expensive, but it’s a great treat once or twice a year. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu, and it’s clear that they eat there all the time. As much as I love sushi, the DESSERTS are the star of the show. My fiancé and I probably spent $ 30 in desserts each time we went, because they’re things like fig sorbet and tempura mango and we want all of them. The cocktails are very creative, strong, and reasonably priced. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the sake, because of the price. They sell a bottle for $ 30 that I can get at the liquor store for $ 8. If you avoid that, it’s a really wonderful experience dining here!

So I’ll start this off by mentioning that I do not like hibachi. I don’t really see the appeal and I don’t like walking out smelling like smoke but my younger cousin wanted hibachi and she, being a six year old, was the deciding factor. I’ve been here many times for dinner on the non-hibachi side and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Side note: I believe you can order hibachi items on the non-hibachi side and vice versa so you can compromise for everyone. My favorite sushi roll is the Saucon valley roll. I usually order that everytime I come and it’s enough food if you’re getting a few apps for the table. My favorite apps are the tempura plate and the calamari — definitely worth ordering to share. Also the wasabi crusted salmon is really good — it’s prepared in the sous vide(immersion slow cooker) so it’s very tender and extremely flavorful. The staff is always polite and very attentive. Definitely a great match for the ambience of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a nice option in the promenade shops!

I’ve been to Kome 2 times. The first time was for hibachi and it was a pretty good experience with good food and service. The second time was for sushi this past weekend. We made a reservation and we’re happy to get seated right away. The first thing I noticed was how crammed the tables were together. This is a pet peeve of mine, since I prefer to be talking only to my company and not everyone eating nearby. As for service, our waiter and his helpers did a great job. We started with a bottle with peach sake, since our sake experiences have been poor this far, and happily, we enjoyed it. Next, we had seaweed salad and a special appetizer with fish. Both were yummy, with the fish being a tad pricy and the salad being one of the best I’ve had. Next, for our meal we got sushi. He had a platter with various sushi and sashimi and I got 2 veggie rolls. He loved all of his and said it was the best sushi he has had in the area. I really enjoyed the options for veggie rolls. It was reminiscent of Morimotto. I choose to have the sweet potato tempura roll with a spicy mayo and the mixed veggie roll. The sweet potato roll was awesome and I cannot stop thinking about it. The veggie roll was good, but very large and hard to eat. I also felt like there was a tad too much avocado. I would get both again, but I have my eyes on the asparagus pumpkin roll for next time. We chose not to have desert, but I did enjoy a martini(white something) which was really good. The prices for the veggie rolls were similar to other places, as were some of the other sushi, but others very pricey. This is sure to be our new sushi spot, unless we come across a yummy, vegetarian friendly, cheaper place.

The food was pretty good, although not much better/worse than some other sushi spots in the Lehigh Valley. I got a Kome roll and a salmon and avocado roll, and both were pretty decent. The salmon didn’t look all that fresh, but I guess that’s what I get for ordering something that wasn’t on the menu. The experience itself was awful. We had a 7pm reservation on a Saturday night, which of course is very busy. We were crammed into a 2-top table where one side was a booth that was shared with our neighbors. Our neighbors were so close to us that I had an easier time hearing their conversations than that of the person I was dining with. I have NEVER been so rushed through a meal in all of my life! While eating my entrée I was asked THREETIMES if I was done. There was food on my plate and in my mouth; I think it was pretty obvious that I was still eating. On the last ask, I just gave up and gave them the plate. Naturally, the check came out almost immediately after, with no mention of dessert or even a refresher on our drinks. We got the hell out of there and finished up our night at the bar at Melt, which was much more relaxed and made up for the awful experience. I don’t think we will be back.

*Disclaimer* This review only will reflect Kome’s hibachi side of their restaurant, as I did not have any sushi when I attended. PRO: The atmosphere, ambience and design are obviously really wonderful. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. Our hibachi chef had no shortage in shooting sake in everyone’s mouth. The menu selection was solid as well, offering a considerable amount of options even amongst the hibachi which is more rare than you’d think. Wine and beer list was thorough, and although overpriced it was nice to see some true Japanese options for alcohol, which I did enjoy as well. Our hibachi chef was very fun, friendly and interactive, he showed a real passion for it beyond it being«just a job» which does happen in the whole«performance food» line of work. Our group was genuinely smiling and laughing with him and really appreciated his cooking and work. CON: There isn’t really much to comment on here. The prices on the food are expensive but let’s be honest, you’re at The Promenade in Saucon Valley, at a very unique and elegantly designed restaurant. It isn’t going to be cheap, it isn’t trying to be cheap. OVERALL: Kome is worth a shot. The food was good, the service was good, the environment is awesome and you’re likely in for an enjoyable experience.

The four star rating was given according to Service, Food, and ambiance. Service: My family was quickly assisted as we arrived during the afternoon for hibachi. The waitress was friendly and informative. She made sure we were aware of our orders preparation and when the hibachi chef will arrive. She was attentive throughout our visit, in a respectful and not annoying way. Even when my nephew spilled his water all over the seat, she was very alert and keen to clean up. Food: all of our food arrived in a timely manner, although I believe the orders that were picked from the menu should have came when the hibachi chef arrived. This is to avoid people who ordered from the menu to finish eating by the time hibachi ordered people began their meal. it only made sense if we arrive together and eat together. But, I give a lot of credit to their sushi and sashimi. Tastes relatively fresh and delicious. It was worth the price although it is pricey. Their lunch special is wonderful, and relatively cheap. For $ 17 you can get a lot of food, it is extremely filling, you might even end up packing some to go. I just wished that their Fried Rice could have been a little less salty, whether its lessening the amount of salt or soy sauce. It was just too salty for me. Otherwise my salmon and NY strip steak was great, tender, and perfectly cooked. Ambiance: this restaurant looks very modern and clean. It would be a great place for a get together dinner, family lunch, or a date. Their bathrooms are clean and modern. Everything is wonderful and makes you feel good being there. The expensive part of the meal included the ambiance of course. All the money the boss must have put into decoration, furniture, and furnishing. Overall, it is a great place to go. I rarely find hibachi places I really like and would want to continue returning, other than Benihana.
