Dive bar, pretty small. And that’s ok, but they had a band one night and all the wires and sound equipment were almost impossible to walk around. A drunk hazard just waiting to happen LOL. Ordered a Captain and coke, but got some other nasty rum. I told the bartender it didn’t taste like Captain. She rolled her eyes and gave me a new drink. Tasted just as gross. It’s a 5 minute walk from my house, I wish I liked it more, but will not go back.

A true local place. A mix of people playing quick draw, middle aged people hooking up, and a smattering of younger people. As stated, this is a rough place for outsiders to go, I have been in there when some asshole gave my friend the ‘stiff shoulder’ for no reason at all. Normally that would have garnered a reaction from us, but we knew that it would be 2 vs the entire place and wisely ignored it! Keep in mind too that the police hang out right outside there looking to bag people for DWI, and I am sure that is a prime place for it.

Regardless, I had been back there about a month ago, and they have just installed a new draft beer system. It was an attractive brass 10 tap system with refrigerated lines. Refrigerated lines are expensive and rare especially at a dive bar. The beers on tap were interesting but nothing totally out of the ordinary. They had Magic hat, stella, landshark, blue moon etc. Definitely unexpected though from a place that used to serve crappy american lagers and guinness only.
People in there are ok if you know how to conduct yourself in hostile bars, but if you come with a bunch of people or have some loudmouth you will probably garner unwelcome attention. Even on saturday nights etc when you would expect a bar to have not just the regulars. It is an interesting place if you like to go to local dives and take your chances like I do!
