Food 4 Less

The reason for my review, is not because of their prices and food quality but more so for their employees. Today I went grocery shopping there and every single employee was either rude or lazy. I asked two employees where something was and BOTH of them did not direct me to where it was or even offer to get it for me, since I was at the cash register already. When I asked another employee, in the meat department, if there was boneless chicken thighs he made no eye contact and just pointed at the meat giving me an ignorant look. I have never felt such way about shopping anywhere but this was just plain out lazy. I don’t care if your bitter for only making minimum wage, be happy you have a job. Now I know the saying is correct– you pay for what you get.

I’m vegetarian and this store has excellent vegetables. Store is clean and prices are cheap. Wish the over all store had a few more high end choices. Mexican piñatas and food choices.

I would give this place a higher rating, but one thing makes me never want to come back to this store. The store itself is a good value, and nothing is wrong with the prices or the shopping. The manager is a total jerk. He is a short stocky man, and had a beard when I met him. TOTAL JERK! I won’t spend money where the management treated me badly so they can’t have my business.

Good selection fresh and the prices are pretty good. Good quick shopping too stock up.

I really like that this location carries a variety of ethnic produce and groceries.
I was surprise to find thai eggplants, papayas, and Asian long beans. Also seen that they carry filipino lumpia. I always stop by here when I’m in the Ceres area.

Anything, and everything, you’d need for some real homemade Mexican.
A pretty solid booze section, too.

Cashier, was not friendly, they do not go out of their way to help at all, I know I will not be back to the one in Ceres! ;(

This place is huge an the prices are excellent. Whenever I am in Ceres an need something to put in the fridge this is the place I go.

This place was so clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. The produce was beautiful and the prices of everything were unbeatable. I wish there was one of these stores on the Monterey Peninsula!

Food 4 Less, then WinCo, then Costless. Prices total about the same when buying a full cart of groceries. Of course one store may be cheaper on a certain product than another. But out of the three stores listed above, I’d say Ceres Food 4 Less meets higher satisfaction standards. The prices are competitive, the store is well lit, always clean and well stocked during the day. Customer service varies since every employee is a human being and human beings all have different personalities. If they can’t give you a price on a certain item over the phone, there’s a reason for it. So get your lazy, penny-​pinching self off the couch and go check for yourself. As for store cleanliness during the 24 hour period, after 10pm or so. Yes, it’s a little dirty/​cluttered. The reason for that is simply that this store is open 24 hours, there is a night stock crew and cleaning guys. The store needs to be stocked and cleaned and what better time to do it than at night when the store is practically empty? Food 4 Less is awesome!

I love this store! Well, I like cheap groceries, but not in a super ghetto kind of way. The store is clean, well light and well stocked. The produce selection and variety rival the more expensive local grocery stores. And it’s CHEAP! We always stock up on groceries here for the family. Food 4 Less is still keepin’ it real!

Great pricing but at times the store is kinda dirty.

I do weekly shopping here because I don’t mind bagging goods myself if it means saving money on grocery. The store is well lighted, clean, and organized. I’ve never called them to check on their prices so I don’t have an opinion on the matter; however, their in-​store customer service is satisfactory. I gave another star to offset an earlier review.

Average. Crowded sometimes.

Terrible customer service, I called to get a price check on a box of diapers, and was told «No, we can not tell you how much it is over the phone». So I will never go to this store again. Ill drive the extra 15minutes to WinCo.
