Delicious! We enjoyed a great family lunch. Perfect for vegetarians like us. Kids had a yummy pizza, great pasta and popcorn falafel which is genius and tasty. Wonderful friendly service, they make you feel at home. Gotta try their signature chutney which comes with the samosas it’s amazing. Great and delicious.

There aren’t many people who will drive an hour out of their way to try a new Mediterranean restaurant… BUTJUSTSOYOUKNOW… I am one of the few and far between! While I feel as though I’ve found some pretty tasty shawarma in the Los Angeles City Limits… There is just a WORLD of possibility outside of them, and I MUST continue my hunt! Well, let it be known that my drive was worth it. I ordered the chicken shawarma(as you could have already guessed) with extra salad as opposed to rice, and I was greeted by a monster plate, piled high with the healthy goodness! This shawarma was EXACTLY the way I like it. It was shaved off a spit and NOTDOUSED in oil or swimming in a pile of fat on my plate. It was light, clean and there was LOTS of it! Accompanied by a hefty salad and delicious hummus, this meal was the best way to fuel my day and reminded me of my favorite shawarma place in North Hollywood(Hayat’s Kitchen). Without extra oil drizzled on top, or the meat doing backstrokes in a pool of fat, you might think this sounds BLAND, but I can assure you, it definitely did not lack in flavor and paired INSANELY well with the hummus! If I lived closer, I definitely would frequent this place on the regular… That being said, I am pretty good obsessed, so it’s LIKELY that I will be back soon! I met a friend at this restaurant(it was our ½ way meeting point) and she got the vegetable soup… She wasn’t as OBSESSED with her dish as I was, giving it three stars because it tasted like canned soup and she wished there were hearty hunks on vegetables in it, but it wasn’t terrible. She didn’t tell me, but I think she liked the crispy pita chips that came with it. She said she was«bringing them home to her husband» but I’m SURE the second she got in the car, she wolfed them down– ha ha! I’m thrilled my drive was worth it, and I had to say, this delicious food put me in a stellar mood and made my HOURLONGTRAFFICINFESTED drive home VERYEASY to tolerate! All other drivers on the road can thank this restaurant for curing me of any road rage I would have had! ;)

Have been going here since they opened and the food/service has always been consistently great. They also do catering which even my work has been using for years.

I went here probably 2 years ago with my girlfriends for their AYCE bunch. It was relatively good. I recall liking it but not loving it hence I never came back(BECAUSE it’s actually a drive). But I recall service being very on-point. The owner was around asking if everything was okay. The restaurant didn’t have that many people in it but it’s nice that he cared about his business. It’s a good one to try if you’re in the area.

Ordered a pita and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The pita wasn’t warmed, there was barely any chicken and the sandwich was just dry overall. This isn’t the first time the pita was not up to par but I just wrote that off as a one time experience. I continued going to this place even after they raised prices and even recommended the place to my foodie friend but I don’t think I will be coming anymore. I was fine with how much I was paying before because of the quality and the quantity but that seems to have just gone down, which makes no sense. If I have to pay more, I expect more. The servers are nice though. Edit(3⁄16): I would like to add that I got takeout for a chicken shwarma and the pita is usually soft when I open it in the foil. The pita that I received from the last time was dry along with the sandwich itself. Also the portion size has gone down since when I first started going here. If Mezza could either adjust the price to fit the quantity or adjust the quantity to fit the price then I might reconsider.

The worst service EVER!! I’ve been there several times before for the great food but last night, the service was so bad. Our waiter didn’t bring us our waters. We got them by mistake from the waiter from next table over. He put their water on our table instead. We were brought Canned soda by a different waiter while everyone else was given a fountain beverage in glasses. We were there waiting for 35 minutes just for that, so we walked out.

Delicious! If you are debating between the lamb chops or kebabs, pick the chops! Far more flavorful. I really would order the chicken kebab in the future, they had lots of flavor and were moist. Plate was a good portion. We were three adults and two children we ordered 4 plates and a appetizer and had no leftovers but we’re all full. Staff was exemplary. Prices were reasonable considering the portions. Will return

I don’t hand out 5s too much, but this place is awesome! Service is great, food is SOGOOD. We’re vegan and love Mediterranean food, and we love falafel. We came in, were promptly seated and helped. The interior of this restaurant is very nice. The atmosphere really pulls you away from the Cerritos Mall/Los Cerritos Center strip mall feel. We ordered the fried cauliflower and it was delicious. It was honestly some of the best fried cauliflower I’ve ever had and I do eat it a lot. I make it at home and have ordered it at other more upscale restaurants and this was leagues tastier! My only complaint was that the eggplant was kind of oily, but I think it was more of a one-off thing. I had the falafel plate and my boyfriend had the veggie plate. Both were delicious, and it was so much food we actually took some home and ate it that evening, but I loved my falafel, the hummus was tasty, tabouleh was also refreshing and tasty. I liked their tahini sauce and was very happy their garlic paste is vegan too. We will be coming back here. I can’t wait for my schedule to change so we can try the AYCE brunch!

I hate to have to update my previous more positive review of this place but my last experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. Both literally and figuratively. My brother and I went during happy hour and ordered the buy one get one free beer and two happy hour appetizers. my beer came with almost half a cup of foam. When we we’re paying the bill we had been charged the normal price for the appetizers. Apparently the server had thought we wanted the regular size. Fine but that’s not the reason I’m updating my review. I ordered the batata harra as I normally do but it was so so so lemon covered. It made my whole plate taste like lemon juice! It was so bad I had to stop eating and take the rest to go. My brother tried it and agreed that it was just horribly over done. even the rice tasted like lemon! I like the acidity of lemon as much as the next person but not when it’s that over powering. The service was fine but I was shocked that my server didn’t notice that I barely touched my food. im a server too and i always inquire when people dont touch their food. The appetizers were really good. the best part of the meal. But I felt very gypped paying 4 $ more on two appetizers so that’s $ 8 more in total to receive one extra small piece. And paying $ 11 for an entrée I didn’t even eat.

Service and food are on point! Big Jake combo and lamb kabobs were great. Included extra pita bread and jalapeños. Cups were never empty and left with a satisfied meal. Will definitely come back!

Service was good, but the food was horrendous. I got the half and half entrée to go, and when I got home the beef shwarma was burnt. I usually go to Georges Greek Café, but today I wanted to try something different and regret coming here. If I ever come here again, hopefully my meat went be burnt again. Until then, I am avoiding this meat burning restaurant until I can forget the burnt meat I got.

I’ve never had Mediterranean food & was always advised to come here! It’s delicious! The spicy hummus is very good. Nice area. Amazing service. Our waiter Keanu was amazing made sure my first experience with the food & restaurant went well. I had the chicken shawarma. Definitely will recommend anyone to come here. And if you’re able to. Request Keanu as your waiter, he will make sure your experience is great

Bad bad bad. My family and I used to LOVE this place and would come here often. It was good and different and they would give HUGE portions, even with togo orders. Tonight however, was beyond disappointing. We did take out, two meals. Total of $ 30 and what do we get? Only TWO peta pieces and barely any meat. What the hell?! We are basically paying $ 15 a plate and we get a spoon full sized portion of meat? The food is still pretty good but for how much we are paying them, the portion sizes can be a bit bigger. Totally disappointing and not coming back here again. Would rather go to Kabab Krush.

The food here was such a let down… except maybe the garlic fries and hummus. My boyfriend had the chicken and lamb schwarma plate– we asked in advance if the chicken was on the dry side to which the waiter replied«in between» dry and juicy. I knew that wasn’t a good sign but my boyfriend went with it since he craved chicken. I ordered lamb chops. The chicken soaked up all my saliva and left my mouth dry. It was so dry my boyfriend dumped the taboyleh over it, hoping it would soak up the juice. Poor guy ate it like a champ– well, he tried. The lamb schwarma(never a fan) tasted like it it usually does everywhere else. My lamb chops were OK, nothing much to say about it. Spicy hummus and garlic fries were good. I’ve had better tabouleh(spelling?). I think the knafeh was the worst! I usually get mine at a bakery somewhere near Ball and Brookhurst and I’m a HUGE fan! But. This. Was. The. Worst. I took it to-go, reheated it and drizzled a little honey(they forgot to give me the syrup) and my first bite went straight into the napkin. The rose water they used was waaaay too strong so I drowned it in honey. I took my second bite which I was barely able to swallow and the third bite never happened. I don’t know. At least I gave this place a second try. But I won’t be back.

My experience with this meal was disappointing unfortunately. The complimentary chips were dry and a bit stale, and the dip/sauce on the side was oily and bland. I ordered the Chicken Tawook(~$ 15) with regular hummus and fatoush salad as my sides. The chunks of marinated chicken breast were lightly seasoned and tender. nothing too memorable. The hummus was standard. The fatoush salad was probably the better part of the plate. It was lightly dressed and fresh. Why the 2 stars? The rice. The rice sucked. It was dry, clumpy, and almost inedible. The rice tasted old and not even warm! We used a groupon deal($ 12 for $ 20) and also took advantage of the free check in baklava. The free check in came with three pieces of baklava which was very generous of them. Service was good, but not so much the food.

This review is for a take out order from Mezza Mediterranean Grill. Actually ordered some mediterranean food from the Unilocal app. It was really easy and you could click on exactly what you want from the menu. I punched in the time that I wanted my food read and it was as simple as that. Ordered the chicken and beef shwarma plate, chicken kabob plate, and falafal plate. When I got to the restaurant at the scheduled time, the food was all ready waiting for me. All I had to do was sign. The food itself was good. The flavor was satisfying, as you would expect from mediterranean food. However, the portions are just medium and not very big, especially for the price you pay. Overall: Easy take out from the Unilocal app. Flavorful food, but not as much food as you would expect from the price you pay.

All you can eat Mediterranean brunch. When I came across this place and saw their AYCE weekend brunch menu, I knew I had to jump on it ASAP. Price has gone up, but $ 19.99, I was still up to give it a try. It was not at all that busy on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe 6 other tables and service was good. AYCE brunch comes with champagne/beer/or soft drink of your choice. They start you with Mezza-quiles(scrambled eggs, feta cheese, fried pita chips, salsa), garlic fries, hummus, and pita bread. This alone can fill one up, I mean I know I was starting to get full. That’s the whole idea, isn’t it? They were all satisfying and make for a good breakfast. Then you choose any of the following, up to 3 dishes at a time, per table: Seafood: Salmon sautéed with lemon and garlic, baked mahi mahi, seafood medley consisting of shrimp and scallops. Vegetarian: falafel, vegetarian samosas, cheese rakakat, fried cauliflower, batata harra, madamas. Meat: Chicken shwarma, beef sharma, beef samosas, gyro, chicken tawook. As you can see, plenty of options. If you’re group is larger than 2 people, you can definitely sample most of it. Because my table was 2 people total, we were a bit limited. We ordered gyro, chicken shwarma, mahi mahi and it came with veggies, beef samosas, and cheese rakakat. My least favorite was the chicken shwarma as it was very tough and the seasoning was not at all anything special. I did enjoy the gyro and beef samosas. I would reorder this again. The gyro was surprisingly great. As I am writing this review, I am craving the food and want to come back. I give it 3 stars because it isn’t the absolute best nor somewhere I would frequent, and I think I would rather pay just about the same price to get a quality appetizer and entrée elsewhere of the same type of cuisine. I highly recommend going with a larger group and staying away from the seafood and chicken shwarma. Everything else is great. And please please please check in! Their complimentary baklava is so freakin’ good and cleanses the palette wonderfully. I want to come back, and I want my friends to come with me!

Upon entering you are immediately hit with the hungering scent of mediterranean food. yummmmmm. I ordered the chicken tanook entrée, with hummus and tabouleh salad as my chosen sides. Everything was delicious! The tabouleh salad was noteworthy and the chicken with the garlic sauce was so tasteful! Tried some of my brother’s filet mignon kabob plate, and the meat was nice and tender. Parents had a half & half entrée of chicken and beef shawarma — all were really good! I will say that I wish they had that special lebanese rice(I think it’s called, RIZBISH’ARIEH) I have had at every other mediterranean place I’ve been to. Mezza serves regular white rice. The owner’s dad is really friendly! He also made sure that we were welcomed well as first time customers! However, whoever the hostess/greeter is. well she could probably use a bit of training. Barely said anything to us and even forgot to give us menus when she sat us. First impressions are important in restaurants so she should work on that. Other than that, all the waiters and waitresses were super friendly! They kept coming back to check on us, refill our waters, etc. The owner’s dad gave us free baklava since it was our first time(but you can also just check in on Unilocal and get it every time haha). Personally, if I was craving mediterranean food, I’d go for a more casual/fast food type place(like Kabab Crush just down the street in Artesia — also really good!!) because it’s kind of expensive here at Mezza in comparison. But Mezza is great for if you want the sit-down restaurant kind of experience(e.g., dinner with the parents).

A big fan of Mediterranean food and after a quick search, Good ol Unilocal lead us here. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with the music playing and the nice cultural décor. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated immediately To start we ordered the BATATAHARRA $ 6.50 which is Cubes of fresh fried potatoes sauteed with crushed garlic, lemon juice, and cilantro. potatoes weren’t as crispy as i would like and was very oily but the flavors were there. 3 stars* BIGJAKEJESSA’S BIGCOMBO $ 19.99 All three kabobs: tender pieces of fillet mignon, marinated chicken tawook and delicately spiced kafta served on a bed of rice spicy hummus and tabouleh salad as my two sides. Warning, Huge portion! You will be taking the rest of your food home. I enjoyed this dish very much chicken, filet mignon and kafta were all tender and flavorful. Rice was bland, Tabouleh was ok, and spicy hummus was great! 4 Stars* Chicken Tawook Pita $ 11.99 Tender pieces of marinated chicken breast cooked over an open flame wrapped in pita w/lettuce, tomato, pickles & our one of a kind garlic sauce. Pita was warm and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Chicken Tawook was tender and flavorful. Ratio of chicken to veggies to garlic sauce was great. Came with a side of hummus and Garlic french fries. Hummus was ok. Garlic French Fries were goooood! 4 Stars* Get the Baklava on the house when you check in. Baklava was crispy and crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness from the honey. Parking is definitely a challenge here but we were lucky to snag one when rounding the corner. Service was average. My fellow eater was feeling like he was coming down with something and was trying to flush his system by drinking tons of water and they were a little slow on refilling water. They were suppose to leave a pitcher and never did. I’ll probably be back if around the area.
