2nd time here and I love more each time! We all need a healthy alternative and this is the place. It’s the chipotle of Mediterranean food. Try it! You’ll love it!

I love trying new restaurants. Mediterranean, I’m sold. So off I went. A new order it your way place, here’s the procedure; Step 1: Choose your base: Wrap or Salad(Panini option, not yet available) Step 2: Choose your sauce: Harissa, Samurai, Ketchup, Sun-dried Tomato or Mayo Note: Samurai is made up of Harissa, Sun-dried Tomato & Mayo. Get this one. Choose your Veggies & Cheese: Tomato, Lettuce, Cabbage & Shredded Cheese. Choose your grilled veggies & Fries: Roasted green chili, sautéed onions & fries. Step 3: Choose your meat: Chicken shawarma, tri-tip beef shawarma or veggies I went with the tri-tip beef shawarma wrap w/samurai sauce. Fries on the side(you can have the fries inside the wrap) The beef was tender and flavorful. The samurai sauce was money! Make sure to ask for extra sauce. Yum! I got the chicken shawarma wrap w/sun dried tomato for the wifey. The chicken was even better than the tri-tip. I would get it with the samurai sauce next time. Both wraps came with fries included in the price. That’s a win right there and it was really good! Seasoned just right too. You can have the fries in the wrap, but I would suggest getting it on the side. It was a big portion =) I got the quesadilla w/chicken shawarma for my son. That was good as well. Service was excellent. They were super friendly and helpful. I got to try some of the sauces and the grilled chili as well. Trying new restaurant sometimes pays off, this is a very good addition to the culinary choices I have for this area. A very solid 4 Stars. Try them out and decide =)

I ate here for the first time. I had the shawarma fries with tri– tip, grilled onions, cheese, zucchini and samurai sauce and it was delicious. Everything was seasoned good. My son, hubby and daughter in law all had something different and they all agreed that the food was good. Generous portions and the staff was very courteous. We will be back!

This is an awesome new spot! Came here with my sister. We had the harissa wrap and the samurai wrap. The harissa is perfectly spicy and garlicky and the samurai sauce is mild and delicious. The ingredients were fresh, crunchy and bursting with flavor. My tri-tip had a really good marinade, more of the garlic, which I absolutely loved! I added the fries inside the wrap, only because I was really craving an authentic experience, but the fries are perfect on their own as well. It reminds me of the wraps I had on the little streets of Paris. The service is excellent, they just get you really excited to get your food.

In California for a few days and stumbled upon the Vertical grill after a long day at Disney Land. Talk about a treat. We were greeted by whom I am assuming was the owner. He took his time and walked us they the menu and the concept. Than he proceeded to give us a couple sauce samples. There were six of us and everyone ordered the chicken shawarma wrap except my youngest who got a gigantic chicken and cheese quesadilla. Everyone loved their wraps. You have to try the samurai sauce. It was just perfect. Sweet and spicy all at the same time. The chicken had great flavor and the sautéed onions and zucchini were a perfect addition. We all felt very welcomed and would love to come back if we weren’t 2000 miles from home.(FRANCHISE???) Thank you and best of luck. I’m sure you will do great!

The menu reminds you of chipotle, but they put a Mediterranean twist with their delicious spread. I ordered the wrap with samurai spread and had to get the fries inside like a californian. Tri-tip was tender and seasoned well.

This place is a good find. The food is delicious. I had Chicken Shawarma wrap with Samurai sauce and it was so good. We will definitely come back! Owner is super cool and helps with the service too. Chicken is great and tri tip is awesome too.

This is a great spot. A build your own concept that really works with the choices available. I personally had the loaded fries with the harrisa sauce and tri tip. Excellent! My kids and wife had the wrap, the quesadilla, and another loaded fries dish. The samurai sauce is a real winner here too and the chicken is very flavorful. Overall a great experience and will definitely be part of our usual places to go from now on.

These guys are new and training the employees while launching is inevitable. The Schwarma was ok. Fries were good!

Found this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. It’s a fast-casual type restaurant(like chipotle) and you can customize your meals. The manager or owner was really helpful. He suggested the chicken shawarma fries and we got it with cheese, sun dried tomato sauce, and mayo sriracha sauce. We also got the tri tip shawarma wrap with everything. Both items were really good, but I liked the wrap the most. The tri tip was flavorful and the chicken shawarma was juicy and not dry at all. Not only that, the manager/owner gave us a free drink and quesadilla. Talk about hospitality! We will definitely return for the bomb food and great service.

Omg I fell in love with this place! Been here 3 times already! I’ve tried the wraps and quesadilla! I tried both chicken and the tri-tip. Can’t decide which one i like more. Also seems like their spreads are all home made. You have to try the samurai spread! Friendly staff and very friendly owner who’s always there! You can tell he has a lot of passion for his food! I hope this place does well. Good luck! I’ll be back soon!

Came to the Vertical Grill for dinner on a Wednesday night. The set-up of the restaurant is similar to chipotle– you choose your base(wrap, salad bowl, shawarma fries, quesadilla) and you get to choose which meat and veggies and sauce you want on the base. The guy working behind the grill greeted us with a smile and explained the menu to us and asked if we wanted samples of any of the sauces. He was so friendly– the customer service here is awesome !!! He made sure to check in to see how we were during dinner as well. :) We got the shawarma fries with chicken, samurai sauce, roasted green chilies, cheese, and tomatoes. The portion sizes are good– my friend and I couldn’t finish the fries and we ended up just sharing one order. BUTTHEFRIESWEREREALLYGOOD ! It doesn’t taste greasy at all– the flavors were really good and I didn’t get the feeling of guilt that I usually get after finishing carne asada fries or chili cheese fries. Will definitely be back for the super great service and for the food !!! :)

Disclaimer: I only post reviews when I really like or dislike a place. I do not just give out 5 stars! I recently got really into Mediterranean food and decided to venture out from my usual go-to spot. Lucky for me, I found the vertical grill only 5 mins away from my house! It’s located in the plaza with the Wendy’s. Parking was easy to find. My friend and I were greeted very nicely by whom I think was the owner. He walked us through the menu patiently and offered suggestions. We ended up getting the shawarma fries(after seeing the picture on Unilocal). The portions are HUGE. He was so attentive with making sure we got everything we wanted and offered to have us sample each of the spreads as well. :-) He even came by to ask if everything was okay and if there was anything they could improve on. Most importantly, the food was delish! I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. 5 stars for excellent service & delicious food!

I was excited to try this place. I saw a picture of the wrap and thought it looked amazing. My boyfriend and I came here after running and were looking for something healthy-ish. This is a Chipotle-style mediterranean place. I ordered a tri-tip salad. It comes with lettuce, cabbage, and tomatoes for veggies. They have around six sauces for you to choose from. I went with half of the sun dried tomato and half of the samurai sauce. The samurai sauce is DELICIOUS. I was really impressed. It’s probably not the healthiest, but it’s definitely worth it. I also got grilled onions. My boyfriend ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. He had the samurai sauce and another red spicy sauce. There was a lot of sauce in his wrap, but he still enjoyed it. I would probably ask for less sauce next time we are here. Everything comes with a side of fries! Fries are always good. The service was good. They people here were very friendly. They even came up to us while we were eating to see if we liked the food.

I stopped by this place on Saturday afternoon. I was looking for something fast, affordable and healthy. I took a quick look at Unilocal for the areas I was in and this placed seemed like it would fit the bill. I walked in was immediately greeted by friendly staff. The menu was explained and I took the suggestions of the gentleman making my wrap. I got the chicken wrap with all the fixings, the hot sauce and the The Samurai sauce. The wrap was massive when it was handed over for me to devour. It was so delicious, so filling and healthy. I kept telling myself as I was eating it that I was going to wrap half of it and take the rest to go, but needless to say I just couldn’t stop. The inside is a basic, clean no frills place to just sit down and eat your food. I will definitely go back and try some more items at this place when I am in the neighborhood.

I found out this place was open after walking to the Loft for lunch and decided to give it a shot instead. I walked in and was greeted right away and the girls behind the counter explained the menu. You can pick the item you want and then build it with sauces/spreads and different veggies. I got the Tri Tip wrap with the samurai sauce and fries. It was really good. The Tri Tip was really good and it reminded me of a Mediterranean California burrito kind of… if Chipotle built it. The price is pretty decent and I’d compare the value to Chipotle too. The place itself was no-frills. It’s just a concrete floor with some simple tables and chairs along the side wall and the grill and veggie station on the other wall. It seems like it’s better for a quick bite or for pick up. I’ll be back to try the panini and the chicken next time.
