We ordered large combo platter(regular comes with 1 of each meat, and large comes with 2), which came with beef, chicken, and kafta kabab. Chicken was very tender, and although beef and kafta were little bit dry, it was still very juicy and rich in flavors. It came with free hummus, which is actually $ 3.99 if you want to order it. We also ordered Kibbeh Roll, a cracked wheat with ground beef, and for $ 7, you get 4 pieces. It tasted something similar to potato balls. Although I am not too fan of it, it tasted good. In that case, if you like something like potato balls, it is going to taste spectacular! Upon ordering this, they gave us free baklavas! Mmmm To be honest, this was unexpected, yet THE best part of our meal. Don’t get me wrong, everything tasted awesome, but this really added the finishing touch. I don’t really like sweet things, so I wasn’t really going to eat it, but when I tried a bite, I ate everything without even offering it to my friend(sorry bud). In terms of service, they were super friendly, and it was very family-like environment. Overall, I had an awesome experience, and I will definitely come back

FREE hummus for every one. .. BUTME!!! WTH! 1st time I cam here for lunch got a chicken salad plate. Guy came up with some complimentary hummus.. . He was really nice. .. It wasn’t very busy but noticed everyone had hummus on their table. Thought it was really cool. . Figured maybe it’s a lunch thing. 2nd time I came here for lunch it was packed. Notified everyone had hummus on their table. Ordered a chicken salad bowl. By the time I got my food all the tables had turned and all the new tables had hummus. There were even 2 other tables with 1 person and they got their hummus(and I know not everyone ordered hummus cuz I heard the table next to me talking about the complimentary hummus they got.) Do you not appreciate Me as a customer? Sorry maybe I didn’t order enough for you to appreciate me. And it’s not that I even needed the hummus cuz I was satisfied with my bowl. .. But it’s the principal of it all. As a business if you choose to do something such as this as a customer service standpoint.. . You should do it across the board and treat all your customers equally. Even though this left a bad taste in my mouth I didn’t rate them a 1 cuz their food is good. .. And I am not faulting their entire rating because of this one experience.

No more Mama’s Kabab! Have eaten here several times and the food was alright. But we ordered it for delivery one night and it was the worst experience. After about an hour I called them and asked how the food order was coming. They asked again for my address. Then they called back 30 minutes later and asked for my phone number – they had just called me! I asked how much longer it was going to be, and they said they didn’t know, and I gave them the cross streets and directions for the 3rd time. I am literally less than 1 mile down the same street they are on and they couldn’t figure it out. And not only that, they were rude about it, making it seem like it was my fault. So in the end, we never got our food from them so I decided they would never get my business again.

I liked this place. we went there after trying Luna grill because it is so fresh, flavorful and semi healthy… this place is not. Flavorful yes, but heavy … still felt guilty after we ate there… but! they are a cute little family owned place and really friendly. I think they are definitely ok, just not beyond fabulous… I will go there again though! plenty of seating, reasonable prices and I am all about supporting small businesses.

I ordered a chicken shawarma plate. Pretty much any plate you get is gonna be pretty good because you get the hummus, rice, and pita bread. And the white garlic spread(magic). The Chicken was well marinated and not too dry, but the hummus was really good. The rice was just ok. I usually go with the kabab but this time wanted to try the shawarma. Portion was good, couldn’t finish it so I took the rest Togo. The place was empty, so I don’t think that’s a good thing… food was good, but not sure if I would go out of my way to come back here. Can’t say the service was excellent either.

Best hummus and tabouli I have ever had. The lamb kebab and chicken kebab was great tasting and tender. They gave us the hummus and baklava for free. The baklava was perfect. Service was super fast and friendly. The presentation of the food was better than a five star restaurant. I’m rarely blown away by the quality but this place you can’t pass up and try!

The service was great. My order was taken over the phone quickly. I arrived and had been greeted by smiles. Payment was fast and I only had to wait a few minutes, as I arrived early. Chicken kabob plate tasted great. Hummus and garlic sauce were delicious. I’m glad I didn’t forget the baklava — ridiculously perfect! I’ve been seeking out chicken kabob plates for some time, and this is one of the better places to eat.

Love the meats. Not over cooked or undercooked. I got the #9 large. I’m not sure what the meat sticks were(lofta? Kafta?) I’ll get the name next time, but it was good lol. Complimentary pita and hummus, not a fan of hummus but I liked this one… I will most likely be back to try something else…

I’ve ordered delivery from this place numerous times and I almost want to apologize for not writing them a review sooner because this place is all around awesome! Every time I’ve ordered(through eats24), the food has always arrived on time, hot, tasting delicious and my orders have always been correct… That being said, I’m giving the 5 stars for a couple of reasons… 1. They have to be some of the nicest people I’ve ordered delivery from(and I order out a lot)… There’s been times I’ve had to call and change/add something and the lady that usually answers the phone is so genuinely nice… Makes you feel like you talking to one of your family members(the ones you like)… When my food has arrived the guy that usually delivers to me, always has a smile on his face and you can almost feel the love they put into their food and the pride they have in their service… I can’t say enough about this part of the experience… But now on to the food… 2. The food always arrives hot and usually earlier then they estimated… I’ve tried almost everything on their menu and have never been disappointed… Their lamb kebabs are to die for… Along with their chicken and steak… Even down to how they season their rice is nummies… I always order extra garlic sauce because who doesn’t love it and theirs is amazing… Also, the cheese plate is a nice light app to add to your meal… I completely recommend this place… Great food… Great service but more importantly, like I said earlier, you can feel the love and pride they have for the food they serve… That’s so rare to find now a days… Try this place!(-: much love all

With the high ratings on Unilocal,I had high expectations. Went in around 5:30 on a Saturday night, so it was pretty empty. There was only one person who ordered before me, but the food still took awhile. Anyway, I almost decided to leave because as I was ordering, one of the workers was eating(with his hands). And he was still eating(with his hands) while he was cooking. Aren’t there sanitation rules around that or something? That’s why I took off two stars. Kinda gross. The food is good, not the best Mediterranean hole in the wall I’ve had. But I guess it’s the only one in this area. Pita bread & hummus were noteworthy. I wish they served tabouleh salad with the kabob plates, instead of sliced pickles. And I wish they had that Mediterranean rice that I love.

The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the large combo platter, its good for 2 – 3 people. The baklava was crisp and sweet. I will definitely be back. The two men working there were really nice.

Yeah? wow… this is tasty This place is arguably the best executed version of a mom and pop, SoCal, brick and motor Mediterranean(Armenian? Ok) joint I’ve been to in recent memory. I look for three things at a joint of this sort, as I know it’s of priority from the kitchen’s stand point. #1. The rice = sublime fluffy, garlicky, thumbs up #2. The complimentary humus+olive oil w/flat bread, equally good, the oil is vegetal, sharp, not stale, a rarety for lunch service. #3 saltiness of grilled meats, which indicates preservation method and overall turnover rate of lunch service, aka«it tasted so fresh!!!» rating of a place that grills raw meat 100’s of lbs per week. Service, location, real-estate(high, spacious ceilings) too = 5 stars. Yup, I’m going back, five savory stars.

Chicken Kabob(substituted the rice for full salad) – very tasty and flavorful… slightly dry Lamb kabob(substituted the rice for full salad) – my cousin ordered this dish and I thought it was very tender and flavorful. If I had to choose between the chicken or the lamb I think I’d get the lamb next time Baklava – to die for! Saw the other reviews about it so we had to try it and it did not disappoint Hummus w/pita bread – the owner gave this to us on the house. It was delicious! I’m very picky about my hummus but I definitely loved this one. Note: the owners were very nice and we’re giving each table free baklava. I thought that was a super nice touch

3.5 stars. The food is good but there is better. First — to the people complaining about the wait times: you do realize your food is grilled to order, right? If you don’t want to wait, call and place your order 15 mins before you get there. I ordered the combo platter, which is a skewer of ground beef, three pieces of shish kabab(premium kabab, I guess), and chicken kabab(tawooq). The chicken was seasoned well but was not super moist. Not dry, but not juicy. Still good flavors. The ground beef kabab(which some places call kofta or kafta) was pretty dry and was seasoned with Iranian saffron which I really don’t enjoy. I wouldn’t get this item again. The shish kabab was delicious and juicy. The sides were absolutely delicious. The garlic sauce(tohm, or tohmeya) was citrusy and delicious. The hummus was very creamy and flavorful. And the rice was so flavorful that I could eat it plain. It also came with pickled cucumbers and pickled beets. I don’t like Arabic pickles(torshi), so I didn’t touch it. Owner threw in a free cinnamon baklawa and it was surprisingly very good! Overall, the meal was good, but there is better kabab in the area. The owner was very friendly.

As a first timer today I tried the Falafel pita sandwich. The falafel was flavorful and moist. The pita bread was fluffy to my liking and the sandwich consisted of some salad, hummus, tzatziki sauce and choice of meat(in my case was falafel). I highly suggest this item for any falafel fans Just like plenty of other reviewers, I was also blessed with a complimentary baklava, which was delicious! This mom and pop shop is literally ran by a mom and pop. They provide very welcoming service

First off, they make their own yogurt drinks in house. It’s absolutely delicious, and the owner totally topped me off to the brim(shown in photo). The meat was pretty tender, especially the beef kebab but the kafta kebabs were a bit dry. The hummus is standard and the baklava is spilling in oil but it’s very sweet and good. And of course they give you good portions of garlic sauce and pickled radishes(a must for quality mediterranean houses). Overall id say this place is worth checking out. Show them some support and they’ll definitely take care of you! :)

Ok-so no lunch special. Got a number#7 chicken showarma. I’m not a big fan of lamb. Close to Lunch time and hardly anybody here-not a good sign. I personally don’t like spending 10.00 bucks for lunch with no drink. Ok-so the plate was plenty for the $ 10.00. I will have the other half tomorrow, it was very tasty. My plate had rice, chicken a pickled pickle and some hummus. For a side treat they included a slice of baklava. I may try again for dinner, too heavy for lunch.

Hubby luvs Kababs and I luv seafood. So, every now and then I have to throw him a bone and try to find a tasty Kabab restaurant in OC. It’s always a surprise to find a Kabab gem in OC because I always compare them to my hometown of Glendale. So, we had lunch at the highly rated Mama’s Kabab which a very casual order at the counter and the server(i.e. Mom) will bring your food to your table. This is a Mom & Pop place and«Mom» warmly greeted us and said to please select any table… so sweet. We ordered: (1) Complimentary Warm Pita Bread, Hummus, Pickled Radish & Pickles: A pleasant surprise … the pita was fresh & the hummus was relish! (2) Foul: A hot appetizer soup/stew with fava bens, garlic, lemon and spices. My first time trying this type of soup and it was fabulous. Served piping hot, well seasoned and just plain yummy! (3) Combo Platter: Marinated Beef & Chicken Kababs and two Kafta Kababs grilled on skewers served with rice and grilled onions and green peppers. The beef kabob was so tender and delectable. The chicken kabob was good and the Kafta Kababs were kinda dry but still hit the spot… I was«hungry» :) I was kinda disappointed that my platter did not include a grilled tomato… this is key to most Armenian and/or Mediterranean plates. (4) Chicken Kabab: Marinated boneless breast of chicken grilled on skewers and served with rice and veggies. Hubby enjoyed his meal! (5) Complimentary Baklava: «Dad» served us two slices of comp baklava which were fresh and yummy! (6) Combo Platter To Go: I ordered a combo platter to go for sonny boy which he really enjoyed. Umm, his to go plate had a quarter of a grilled tomato. Is there a shortage of tomatoes that I am not aware of? =) I enjoyed my lunch at Mama’s Kabob that offers fresh and tasty Armenian entrees with friendly services. Just my opinion, please include a grilled tomato or two with the main entrees because it goes well with the rice! I’ll be back and ‘m a fan … 4 Stars!
