This place looks to be a family-run business that shares the genetic traits of being petty and dishonest. When a watch battery that was replace here died within the year guaranteed-date, I went to replace it. The woman working the kiosk insisted that the guarantee wasn’t for the watch I brought in, and became very offended and haughty, thinking that i was trying decieve her. I try to support local businesses and though it’s a cheap fix, do not come to this business if you want to have a watch battery that lasts longer than a year, or expect any kind of customer service.

I brought two watches here, an inexpensive Kenneth Cole & my fiancé’s relatively expensive Victorinox Swiss Army. The elderly gentleman was nice enough, and said he’d change the batteries while we waited. I told him not to rush because we were planning to do other shopping. We came back, paid, picked up our serviced watches, and walked out. As my fiancé was putting on her watch, she noticed a small piece of rubber sticking out from behind her watch. I looked closely and noticed it was a bit of the rubber o-ring sealer. I brought it back in and mentioned it. The man said he didn’t have a replacement o-ring and used our old one instead, but it was out of shape now and no longer fit properly. I asked him if he could at least screw the back in in such a way so that a rubber o-ring wasn’t sticking out. Get this: he took an X-Acto knife out and sliced it off, scratching the watch casing in the process. Unbelievable. He was a real nice old man, but I think he should have disclosed the problem with the watch instead of trying to mask it. I would have gladly paid for him to order the o-ring. To make matters worse, moisture got into the watch housing and fogged up the watch face within a few days. Thankfully I found a place that tuned the watch up good as new, but all this could have been avoided with a proper servicing here. For inexpensive watches I’m sure this place will get you by, but bring your valued trinkets elsewhere.

I’m not sure what went wrong here, but the guy who assisted us with our watch didn’t seem like he wanted our business … it was like we had to beg for him to take our money to have our watch fixed … 2 weeks, he said … well, the 4th week is rolling by and all we could get from him was …“I have a quote… it will be an extra $ 250.00″ … so what was the $ 85.00 charge for? …“for me to send the watch out to get the quote” … yeah, that just happened … so not only am I out $ 85.00, my watch is STILL broken. Talk about MESSED up business … It would be nice when a customer asks, «how much will this cost to be repaired?», and the watch repairman gives you a price, you pay it … the job SHOULD get done … plain and simple, right? Make sure you sign a contract in blood otherwise you’ll be paying him to even keep in contact with you … I would suggest going to Watch Works which is just around the corner next to wetzel’s pretzels. They are much more professional and actually care about what their customer’s think… plus, they don’t sell aged out c*ap collection dust. –Annie

Whenever something happens to any of my watches I take it here. It’s also really convenient because it’s in the mall and I can shop while my watch gets fixed. I have had all of my watches batteries replaced here, some straps redone, and have made straps bigger, smaller, changed some straps completely. They always do a great job in a timely manner. Generally friendly too! Even my roomie, who has a watch carried only in the middle east, had her watch fixed and changed here. They carry all sorts of supplies for watches. If you can’t get your watch repaired or changed here, I have no idea where else to tell you to go. :)
