I’ve been going here on wing night for 20 years. The wings are some of the best in the area. The food and drinks are very reasonable. The owner and waitstaff are very friendly. The décor really needs an update if you can get past that it’s not to bad…

Really good chicken Caesar salad. So-so fish and chips. Fries were not house-made and kind of soggy. Very inexpensive. Fine service. Beautiful deck overlooking the creek, shaded by oaks. Big problem is that it’s smoking, and everyone does. Not a good place for people who breathe.

The Creek Side is a great place. Thank God SOMEONE holds onto good bar and good bar food traditions. if you don’t like the smoke, go elsewhere. Service is friendly and energetic. Food comes swift and hot. Good brew on tap, packaged take out. We love it. There aren’t many left of this gem. Please never change to appease the whiny, foo-foo Bucks County crowd..

I feel torn about whether to rate this place with two or three stars. Here’s the reasoning behind my conundrum. Let’s start with the bad, as it helps better explain the good. The bad: The bar allows smoking. Smoking is disgusting. The bar is also relatively small, so there’s a lot of smoke billowing around the room. There is a small«dining room» off the main bar area that has four booths but the smoke easily drifts in. There’s also a shuffleboard table in there, so if someone’s playing, I would imagine that majorly kills any sorta’ «dinner» vibe. The crowd, even at a happy-hour-ish/dinner time seemed… rough. After reading the reviews on Google, I see someone called it a biker bar. Sounds about right. There weren’t any leather-clad ZZ-top types, but it was definitely what I would call a rougher crowd. I think it was all guys, other than me, the bartender, and waitress. The beer selection isn’t stellar. Yeah, I know, I don’t picture a rougher crowd clamoring for micro brews, so I’m not holding that against the place in terms of review criteria. It is next to railroad tracks. As we walked in, I even commented, «Oh look, this place is on the wrong side of the tracks.» It was a joke at the time but it seemed to pan out. The good: The food is actually pretty good for a dive bar… and it’s CHEAP. The bartender was really nice and our waitress was cool, too, though she seemed a little… apprehensive? Nervous, maybe — probably because she never actually waits on dinner patrons. I don’t think it’s a hot spot for food unless the diner is also sucking down a pack of Marlboro’s and drinking shitty beer. But seriously, the food was pretty good; better than your average bar food. Nothing«different» — the standard bar fare — but better than the crap you’d get at a chain restaurant. Ultimately, I’m going with two stars — smoking is the deciding factor. Smoking is gross, yo.
